Book ETUDE DES PROPRIETES PHYSICO CHIMIQUES DES EAUX DE BASSINS ET DE LEURS INFLUENCES SUR CERTAINS PHENOMENES BIOLOGIQUES CAS DU PORT DU HAVRE

Download or read book ETUDE DES PROPRIETES PHYSICO CHIMIQUES DES EAUX DE BASSINS ET DE LEURS INFLUENCES SUR CERTAINS PHENOMENES BIOLOGIQUES CAS DU PORT DU HAVRE written by MOUNIA.. EL HAJI and published by . This book was released on 1998 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: DANS LA PREMIERE PARTIE, L'ETUDE CONCERNE L'ANALYSE DES PARAMETRES PHYSICO-CHIMIQUES DES EAUX DE BASSINS, EXPLOITEES PARAMETRE PAR PARAMETRE, A PARTIR D'UNE BANQUE DE DONNEES INITIEE DES 1977 PAR LE PORT DU HAVRE. DES PRELEVEMENTS REGULIERS, MENSUELS ONT ETE REALISES AU DROIT DE 11 POINTS DANS LA ZONE DU PORT DU HAVRE ET DE SA ZONE INDUSTRIELLE S'ETENDANT SUR 530 KM EN RIVE DROITE DE L'ESTUAIRE DE LA SEINE. L'INTERPRETATION DES MESURES IN SITU DES CARACTERISTIQUES PHYSIQUES ET CHIMIQUES DU MILIEU ENVIRONNANT A PERMIS LA MISE EN EVIDENCE DE PHENOMENES DE CORROSION BACTERIENNE. UNE SYNTHESE PRECISE DE CES DONNEES A ETE ENTREPRISE AINSI QU'UNE ETUDE DES PARAMETRES EN FONCTION DE L'ESPACE ET DU TEMPS. DANS LA DEUXIEME PARTIE, UN COUPLAGE DES PROCESSUS PHYSICO-CHIMIQUES AUX PHENOMENES BACTERIOLOGIQUES A ETE REALISE, AFIN DE METTRE EN EVIDENCE LES INTERACTIONS ET SURTOUT L'IMPACT DE L'ACCUMULATION DE LA MATIERE ORGANIQUE DANS LA PROLIFERATION DES BACTERIES SULFATO-REDUCTRICES. CES BACTERIES JOUENT UN ROLE PREPONDERANT DANS L'ACCELERATION DE L'ATTAQUE CORROSIVE DES INSTALLATIONS PORTUAIRES. CETTE PARTIE A FAIT L'OBJET DE LA MISE AU POINT DES TECHNIQUES EXPERIMENTALES POUR METTRE EN EVIDENCE LES SITES DE PROLIFERATION DE CES MICRO-ORGANISMES. DANS CE BUT, DES BARRES D'ACIER AU CARBONE ONT ETE INSTALLEES, EN FOND DE BASSIN PORTUAIRE AU VOISINAGE DE CERTAINS POINTS DE PRELEVEMENTS. UNE OBSERVATION MICROSCOPIQUE A REVELE L'EXISTENCE D'UNE SOURCE D'ENERGIE CONDUISANT A LA PROLIFERATION DE CERTAINES BACTERIES. UN DENOMBREMENT BACTERIEN DANS LE MILIEU SOLIDE ET LIQUIDE A CONFIRME LA PRESENCE D'UNE ACTIVITE BACTERIENNE, PLUS ELEVEE DANS CERTAINS SITES DE LA ZONE INDUSTRIELLE DU PORT. L'INTENSITE DE CETTE ACTIVITE EST CONDITIONNEE PAR LES CONDITIONS PHYSICO-CHIMIQUES DU MILIEU. DANS LA TROISIEME PARTIE, L'EXPLOITATION DES RESULTATS OBTENUS A CONDUIT A LA MISE EN UVRE D'UN LOGICIEL DANS LE BUT, D'UNE PART, DE CARACTERISER ET D'EXPLIQUER LES TENDANCES EVOLUTIVES DE TRANSFERT DES POLLUANTS A LONG TERME DANS LES BASSINS CONFINES ET, D'AUTRE PART, D'APPORTER UNE CONTRIBUTION A LA COMPREHENSION DES PHENOMENES DE CORROSION DES OUVRAGES IMMERGES EN MILIEU SAUMATRE. CETTE APPROCHE PERMETTRA DE DISPOSER D'OUTILS UTILES POUR ASSURER UNE BONNE GESTION DES INFRASTRUCTURES PORTUAIRES ET DE FAIRE DES EXTRAPOLATIONS ENTRE DIFFERENTS PRESENTANT CERTAINES SIMILITUDES.

Book An Historical Geography of France

Download or read book An Historical Geography of France written by Xavier de Planhol and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 1994-03-17 with total page 602 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this 1994 book, Xavier de Planhol and Paul Claval, two of France's leading scholars in the field, trace the historical geography of their country from its roots in the Roman province of Gaul to the 1990s. They demonstrate how, for centuries, France was little more than an ideological concept, despite its natural physical boundaries and long territorial history. They examine the relatively late development of a more complex territorial geography, involving political, religious, cultural, agricultural and industrial unities and diversities. The conclusion reached is that only in the twentieth century had France achieved a profound territorial unity and only now are the fragmentations of the past being overwritten.

Book Agrimonde Scenarios and Challenges for Feeding the World in 2050

Download or read book Agrimonde Scenarios and Challenges for Feeding the World in 2050 written by Sandrine Paillard and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-09-03 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How will the world be able to feed close to 9 billion people in 2050 and still maintain the ecosystems? In this perspective, INRA and CIRAD launched the initiative, in 2006, to develop a foresight project for analysing issues pertaining to the world's food and agricultural systems on the 2050 timeline. This book provides a synthetic presentation of the main conclusions that this foresight project has yielded. First, it recapitulates the main statistical references for the period 1961 to 2003, before going on to describe the Agribiom simulation tool used to calculate food biomass resource use balances. Two scenarios on the 2050 timeline are then considered: Agrimonde GO is a trend-based scenario that bets on economic growth to feed the world, in a context where environmental protection is not a priority; in contrast, the idea in Agrimonde 1 is to feed the world while preserving its ecosystems.

Book Taming the Anarchy

Download or read book Taming the Anarchy written by Tushaar Shah and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2010-09-30 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 1947, British India-the part of South Asia that is today's India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh-emerged from the colonial era with the world's largest centrally managed canal irrigation infrastructure. However, as vividly illustrated by Tushaar Shah, the orderly irrigation economy that saved millions of rural poor from droughts and famines is now a vast atomistic system of widely dispersed tube-wells that are drawing groundwater without permits or hindrances. Taming the Anarchy is about the development of this chaos and the prospects to bring it under control. It is about both the massive benefit that the irrigation economy has created and the ill-fare it threatens through depleted aquifers and pollution. Tushaar Shah brings exceptional insight into a socio-ecological phenomenon that has befuddled scientists and policymakers alike. In systematic fashion, he investigates the forces behind the transformation of South Asian irrigation and considers its social, economic, and ecological impacts. He considers what is unique to South Asia and what is in common with other developing regions. He argues that, without effective governance, the resulting groundwater stress threatens the sustenance of the agrarian system and therefore the well being of the nearly one and a half billion people who live in South Asia. Yet, finding solutions is a formidable challenge. The way forward in the short run, Shah suggests, lies in indirect, adaptive strategies that change the conduct of water users. From antiquity until the 1960‘s, agricultural water management in South Asia was predominantly the affair of village communities and/or the state. Today, the region depends on irrigation from some 25 million individually owned groundwater wells. Tushaar Shah provides a fascinating economic, political, and cultural history of the development and use of technology that is also a history of a society in transition. His book provides powerful ideas and lessons for researchers, historians, and policy
