Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Each day, I meet people who share so much in common. They are showing outward signs of frustration that are clearly visible. At some point in time, we all had to face invisible things that cannot be seen within a person. They consisted of problems, situations, circumstances, dilemma, drama, interferences, hindrances, oppositions, hardships, struggles, challenges, difficulties, pains, heartbreaks, and the list goes on. How we deal with those issues will determine whether our life will become effective and productive or whether it will seem dull and boring. We can look at the positive side of the issues, or we can see the negative side. In either situation, engaging and thriving in the right environment with the right people while making right choices will make a positive impact on our life. We have to set our might and sight on reaching positive goals and achievable dreams. People are hurting and they want answers to their questions or problems. We should not be afraid to speak up and to seek help. If you are hurting, please find a trusted friend or professional agency that you can open up with and share your concerns. Don't try to carry the burden alone because it can get overwhelming. If you are a believer, exercise your faith. Be of good courage. Lift your head up, chin up, hands up, and let faith rise to new heights. Believe and confess you can overcome this. It has been a pleasure writing this book. I pray that it will help bring hope, healing, deliverance, restoration, unification, salvation, and encouragement to everyone who receives these words of wisdom and instructions. Remember you don't have to suffer in silence.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book, Dr. Jessica Houston utilizes her past experiences and her passion for helping others to develop a powerful roadmap for women who are seeking to live an extraordinary life. There are issues such as intimate partner violence, child sexual abuse, low self-confidence and depression that affect millions of women daily. However, instead of verbalizing these issues, women are keeping them to themselves and suffering in silence. This book encourages women to stop masking and suppressing their pain. Suppression is not a viable solution, because it does not address the presenting issue at its core. Subsequently, suppression can only serve as a temporary coping mechanism. This book provides an opportunity for women to come to terms with their painful experiences. Moreover, it prompts women to initiate the process of healing and live the victorious life that they were designed to live. After reading this book, women will be empowered to discover and walk in their purpose. Finally, women will be equipped with the knowledge, power, and resources needed to transition from a place of self doubt and pain, to a place of confidence and restoration.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. God does not want His children to go through life hiding behind masks and suppressing past hurtful experiences. In this awesome autobiography, Michele emphasizes that you cannot be all that Go has called you to be, if you continue to hold on to wounds from your past. Michele takes her readers on a journey, to show them that a distressing past does not have to dictate the outcome of their future. Her message is clear that God can take every negative experience and turn it into something magnificent, whether individuals have experienced abuse or other misfortunes which may be holding them back from enjoying life to the fullest. The Silent Sufferer will help others to confront their agonizing past, and to allow God's healing power to heal, comfort and put them back on the right path. She accentuates that no matter what an individual has encountered, it is still God's desire for them to walk in His purpose and destiny for their lives, and to experience peace and joy!

  • Pages : 0 pages

Download or read book Silent Suffering written by Leslie Corbly and published by Resource Publications (CA). This book was released on 2024-03-11 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Each epoch of history brings stories of pain, triumph, oppression, freedom, purpose, suffering, grief, and joy. Silent Suffering explores the depths of the human experience through an exploration of the present moment, a time in which postmodern, progressive ideas reign as the societal benchmark for goodness, justice, beauty, and--ironically--truth. This poetic critique of progressive values invites the reader to doubt progressive dogma by critiquing the foundations of the progressive approach to morality and justice. The combination of social and cultural commentary pairs with traditional elements of classical poetry to immerse readers and listeners in the experience of modern nonconformists who silently suffer in the shadows of culture's ever evolving progressive doctrinal creeds. Throughout this critique, readers and listeners are called to ponder the mystery of the human experience, the call to faith in a godless era, and the eternal need for hope amidst the senseless suffering humanity inflicts upon itself.

Like most of the nation, Liza Long spent December 14, 2012, mourning the victims of the Newtown shooting. As the mother of a child with a mental illness, however, she also wondered: “What if my son does that someday?” The emotional response she posted on her blog went viral, putting Long at the center of a passionate controversy. Now, she takes the next step. Powerful and shocking, The Price of Silence looks at how society stigmatizes mental illness—including in children—and the devastating societal cost. In the wake of repeated acts of mass violence, Long points the way forward.
