Drawing on biblical material and business wisdom, In Pursuit of Great AND Godly Leadership explores the critical leadership decisions and practices that shape the success of Christian organizations. These decisions are illustrated in compelling interviews with over forty leaders of churches, universities, denominational bodies, and international ministries. Mike Bonem leverages his background as an MBA-trained manager and an experienced church leader to bridge the gap between the analytical and structured world of business and the faith-driven approach that is essential for healthy churches. Written to offer practical solutions for senior pastors, executive pastors, key laypeople, and leaders of other Christian entities, In Pursuit of Great AND Godly Leadership clearly shows the ways that secular practices can be imported into their organizations. Bonem addresses a variety of topics such as planning, finances, personnel management, measurement, team dynamics, and organizational change. In doing so, he points to the AND that every spiritual organization should strive to achieve.

Book The 5 Core Abilities of Highly Effective Leaders

Download or read book The 5 Core Abilities of Highly Effective Leaders written by ERROL. LAWSON and published by . This book was released on 2017-03 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Errol Lawson, a best selling author, publisher, and coach that works with a variety of individuals in education, entrepreneurship and church based ministry around the world, this week released his latest work, The 5 Core Abilities of Highly Effective Leaders, available on book distribution platforms today. In his first book aimed directly at a Christian audience, Errol went on a quest to discover what it takes for a Christian leader to become an influential and impactful leader in their generation. Lawson sat down with 106 of the most influential Christian leaders in the world right now to discover the keys to their influence and success. He said, "Imagine every member of your church executing their purpose and doing exactly what it was that they were called to do in the places where they are called to be and transforming lives all around the world." It was this idea that inspired him to pen the latest work. "For hundreds of years men and women of the church have been at the forefront of innovation and social reform," said Lawson. "In science, health care, education, social action and entrepreneurship Christians, inspired by their faith, have stepped out courageously to respond to the challenges of their times. Great organisations like Barnardo's, the Samaritans, The red cross, The YMCA, The salvation Army are some examples. Sir Isaac Newton, one of the greatest scientists of all time, Dr Martin Luther King Jr, CS Lewis, Mother Theresa and many other leaders in the modern day era." Leaders interviewed for Lawson's new book include niece of Dr Martin Luther King Jr, Dr Alveda King, notable Rabbi and best-selling author Rabbi Daniel Lapin, and online marketing strategist and best-selling author Perry Marshall, as well as many other internationally recognised and outstanding leaders. After reviewing the information from the interviews, Lawson identified 5 key things that all leaders embody. He coined these 5 things "The 5 Core Abilities of Highly Effective Leaders: " 1. The ability to create and communicate a compelling vision 2. The ability to create and manage wealth 3. The ability to defy self-doubt and lead with conviction 4. The ability to get the best out of the people you lead 5. The ability to focus on the key activities and delegate or eliminate the rest Through this new book, Lawson teaches readers how to step into their biggest challenges, realise their leadership potential, and make an impact in their generation for Jesus.

Book Secrets of Christian Leadership Success

Download or read book Secrets of Christian Leadership Success written by Lawrence Osifo and published by . This book was released on 2017-05-18 with total page 126 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Foundational KnowledgeIt is the perfect and divine plan of the God of all creations that all His creations; prosper and have good successes. BUT the instrument for measuring Christian Leadership Success is "Spirit-o-meter". Any attempt to apply "Flesh-o-meter" will only end the leader up in disgrace. In other words; Christian Leadership success is not judged with the same standard as the worldly leadership success. The principles are different; the destinations and the rewards also differ. The methods and styles of leadership in the world of unbelievers are not the same as methods and styles of leadership in the Christendom. The worldly methods and styles may give you immediate and great results; BUT such schemes do not stand the test of times. The worldly success does not enter into eternity in the Heaven where Christ dwells. The main agenda for this book is committed to helping Christian leaders to successfully enter into their heavenly home; and not after leading others to enter; they themselves are cast out; being told at the gate; "I never knew you: depart from me, you who worked iniquity". That will be an eternal disgrace. In Luke 10:20; Jesus was quick to caution His disciples; "do not only rejoice that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, that your names are written in heaven". But it seems that many Christians today have; kind of; lost the consciousness and the desire for their names to be written in heaven. This is exactly where many Christian leaders are failing in this era. Many Christian leaders are ignorantly applying the methods of the world for acquiring successes in the Church. The application of the worldly standard to acquire success as a Christian; places the believer as the enemy of the Holy God. The Holy bible book of James 4:4; clearly says this; "You adulterers and adulteresses, do you not know that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore, will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God".The causes of Christian Leaders successes and the reasons for their failures will continually be pointed out and as well addressed as matters arising in every chapter of this book. The cures for the failures; which are actually the secrets; are in the fate of individual believers; as the scripture says in 2Timothy 2:19; that the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal; the Lord knows them that are His. And, let everyone that calls on the name of Christ depart from iniquity. The successes made by some Christian leaders are largely determined by the foundational knowledge divinely acquired; and imbibed by such leaders. Anyone who began in truth with a sincere mind in the Spirit of the Holy God and continue in the word of the Righteous God will definitely succeed at last. The world most acclaimed successful leader of the Christians is "Jesus the Christ". He is the one every true Christian leader desires to be like. In Him and from Him are the secrets needed by any leader to truly succeed. He knew so much about the future events; and He said; in warnings to His disciples; in the bible book of Matthew; chapter twenty-four; verse five, that; many will come in My name; saying; 'I am the Christ,' and they will be leading many astray. In the bible records of Luke chapter twenty-one; verse eight; He said, "Take heed that you are not led astray; for many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he!' and, 'The time is at hand!' Do not go after them. In Luke chapter twelve verse fifteen; the Lord Jesus Christ said; "Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life is not in the abundance of the belongings which he possesses". The phrase; "Beware of covetousness"; stands clearly out as number one profound statement and secret for successes which any thoughtful leader must jealously treasure on the way up; and to balance up.
