Download or read book Their College Journey written by Leo Sanada and published by Weadmit. This book was released on 2021-01-15 with total page 172 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As parents, we all want our children to succeed-and in today's world, getting into the right college is critical to that success.Unfortunately, the college application process is a complex one, and this holds back far too many students. From the huge variety of paperwork to the fees, requirements, and deadlines, students have a lot of work ahead of them if they want to make the most of their college applications. However, more than any of these logistical hurdles, the one thing that confounds students and their parents the most is a simple question: What's the secret to getting into college? This is a hard question to answer for anyone outside of college admissions. On the one hand, many people preach the importance of perfect grades and high SAT scores, yet students get into top universities every year without these things. Some say colleges want to see students overcoming hardship, while others push for a greater focus on college essays-yet, once again, colleges admit many students without these things. At the end of the day, the reality of college admissions is far more complex than any of these one-sided perspectives. Students need all of these things-good grades, high test scores, compelling writing skills-to some degree, but they also don't need to be perfect. In fact, crafting a successful college application is more about teamwork, passion, and self-reflection than raw numbers.Of course, that doesn't mean you and your child don't have a lot of hard work ahead of you.To truly impress the best colleges in the US, you'll need to help your child not only understand themselves, but their hopes and dreams for the future as well. What are their passions, what drives them, and what story are they trying to tell? These aren't easy questions, and that's where we come in.This book will guide you through far more than just GPA and SAT scores- it will help you understand your role in your child's success and show you how to get them involved too. It will help you take their college applications to another level. In the end, this book will help you push past the myth that college applications are nothing but a numbers game-because they simply aren't. In reality, college is about passion and purpose, and we're here to help your child find both
