Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Through 5 practical steps, Dr. Judith Orloff's guide will show you how to recapture, nurture, and affirm your intuitive ability, so that you can utilize it to help heal yourself. In her groundbreaking book, Dr. Orloff leads readers to the heart of a radical revolution in health care: the union of medicine and intuition, of body, mind, and soul. Intuition plays an indispensable role in self-diagnosis, pain control, immune response, and recovery from acute and chronic illness; it can lead you to breakthroughs in anxiety, panic, depression, and other emotional blockages, even when traditional psychotherapy has failed. Intuition also offers insights into the use of medications and the selection of the right healer for your needs. Further, it is integral for sexual healing, since sexuality is a potent connector and energy source for clarifying spirituality and improving vitality. With Dr. Orloff's five practical steps, you'll learn to clarify your beliefs, listen to your body's messages, access inner guidance, sense subtle energy, and interpret your dreams. Practicing the steps, you'll recognize early warning signals and act on them to help prevent illness. You'll have skills to uncover important information from meditation and remote viewing (a way of intuitively tuning in) to make sense of confusing signals. The insights you'll gain from these tools will lend reason, compassion, and meaning to events such as illness, loss, or despair. Following Dr. Orloff's simple, clear instructions, illustrated with examples from her own experience and psychiatric practice, you'll recapture a sense of vision that will bring vibrance to all that you do. "Our intuition can open us up to our spirituality and show us how to be more healthy and whole," writes Dr. Orloff. "If you're in good health, you'll want to know about intuition because it can help you stay well and recognize messages that prevent illness. If you or your loved ones need healing, you'll also want intuition to show the way." Written with abundant warmth, humor, and compassion, this guide is your companion to a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Book excerpt: The Other God - The Judas Gospel and the Hidden God Beneath the surface of traditional teachings lies a shocking and secret truth that The Other God dares to unveil. In this unique exploration, Judas Iscariot emerges not as the traitor the world believes him to be, but as an enlightened disciple, entrusted with wisdom that transcends human comprehension. This book delves deep into Gnostic spirituality, offering an alternative vision where Judas is chosen to uncover hidden mysteries, questioning the true nature of good and evil. Through a captivating narrative, the author leads readers through a labyrinth of mystical teachings, presenting the concept of the Demiurge—the flawed creator of the material world—in stark contrast with the "Supreme God," a divinity beyond matter and earthly understanding. Here, Judas becomes a guide, a traveler between shadows and light, charged with revealing ancient secrets and illuminating the path to spiritual liberation. Each page of The Other God challenges readers to question conventional certainties, to see through the illusion of the material world, and to discover the hidden divinity within. This is not a path of blind faith, but of profound self-knowledge, where Judas, with courage, sacrifices his own image for a greater purpose, inviting each soul on a journey toward awakening and connection with eternal wisdom. This book is a gateway to a universe where the sacred and the profane intertwine, a masterpiece that calls upon the spirit to break its chains and seek the unknown.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A fascinating and dramatic account of a controversial figure in twentieth-century psychiatry. In this “dazzling and provocative”* biography, Gail Hornstein brings back to life the maverick psychiatrist Frieda Fromm-Reichmann. To Redeem One Person Is to Redeem the World tells the extraordinary life story of the German-Jewish refugee analyst who accomplished what Freud and almost everyone else thought impossible: she successfully treated schizophrenics and other seriously disturbed mental patients with intensive psychotherapy, rather than medication, lobotomy, or shock treatment. Written with unprecedented access to a rich archive of clinical materials and newly discovered records and documents from across Europe and the United States, Hornstein’s meticulous and “delightfully lucid”** biography definitively reclaims the life of Fromm-Reichmann. The therapist at the core of Joanne Greenberg’s I Never Promised You a Rose Garden is also the analyst who had an affair with, and later married, her patient Erich Fromm. A pioneer in her field, she made history as the pivotal figure of the unique and legendary mental hospital, Chestnut Lodge. “A lively, well-written account of a charismatic leader in an important period of psychiatry’s history.” —Psychology Today “At a time when little pills are seen as a quick fix for almost everything, this book is well worth taking time to read and contemplate.” —Philadelphia Inquirer *Publishers Weekly **Kirkus Reviews

Download or read book Angels of Desire written by Jay Johnston and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2016-04-08 with total page 299 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The idea that the human body consists of 'subtle bodies' - psycho-spiritual essences - can be found in a variety of esoteric traditions. This radical form of selfhood challenges the dualisms at the heart of Western discourse : mind/body, divine/human, matter/spirit, reason/emotion, I/other. 'Angels of Desire' explores the aesthetics and ethics of subtle bodies. What emerges is an understanding of embodiment not exclusively tied to materiality. The book examines the use of subtle bodies across a range of traditions, yogic, tantric, theosophical, hermetic and sufi. 'Angels of Desire' shows the relevance of the subtle body for religion, philosophy, art history and contemporary feminist religious studies and theories of desire.

Download or read book The Politics of Metaphysics written by Felipe G. A. Moreira and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2022-10-13 with total page 265 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since immemorial times, persons have been engaged in disputes in metaphysics. This book reacts to this fact by supporting five theses. Thesis 1 is that disputes are micro-wars that have a significant social importance; they involve conflicting parties who may resort to some kind of violence and depend on normative factors. Thesis 2 is that disputes can be approached from right-wing or left-wing stances. Thesis 3 is that the grounds for endorsing an approach to a dispute are problematic starting points that may be rationally rejected. Thesis 4 is that disputes have an incommensurable greatness. Thesis 5 is that right-wing approaches to disputes may be less appealing than the left-wing one championed by the book for those who endorse that one is to avoid expressing “subtle” violence. This is the violence expressed by those who suggest that others who disagree with one’s criteria to deal with disputes fall short of logos or act as if such others did not exist.
