Download or read book IT S TIME PB written by Charlotte Kramer and published by Dorrance Publishing. This book was released on 2020-03-09 with total page 328 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: IT’S TIME Journey With Jesus from His Manger to His Mission: the Unrecorded Years By: Charlotte Kramer Magdalene looked at Jesus and knew when she was in His presence there was something different about His character. There was a loving atmosphere that seemed to actually change the physical environment that surrounded Him. The grasses became greener, the blades became stronger, the blooms more colorful and the flowers smelled sweeter. Magdalene was caught up in an ethereal realm where she felt like she was too exquisite for the world she was in… and she was absolutely sure Jesus was too perfect for this world. She gazed at Him and she realized it was He who made her feel that way. It’s Time gives the reader a greater understanding of conflicting politics on the lips of first-century Jerusalem citizens and Jewish principles in a Roman world. This book shines new light on the Magi and their interpretation of the heavenly spheres as it pertained to the birth of Jesus and their duty to Jesus while He was a youth. It offers a broader understanding of Joseph of Arimathea and the role he played in the life of Jesus. Through this new light, the reader has a greater understanding of Jesus as a youth. The scriptures are silent on these missing years, and it is time to sift out a logical, although imaginary, life surrounding Jesus as a youth that He could have lived in the first-century world.

Download or read book Piety and Rebellion written by Shaul Magid and published by Academic Studies PRess. This book was released on 2019-09-17 with total page 289 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Piety and Rebellion examines the span of the Hasidic textual tradition from its earliest phases to the 20th century. The essays collected in this volume focus on the tension between Hasidic fidelity to tradition and its rebellious attempt to push the devotional life beyond the borders of conventional religious practice. Many of the essays exhibit a comparative perspective deployed to better articulate the innovative spirit, and traditional challenges, Hasidism presents to the traditional Jewish world. Piety and Rebellion is an attempt to present Hasidism as one case whereby maximalist religion can yield a rebellious challenge to conventional conceptions of religious thought and practice.

Download or read book The Quintessential Jesus of Nazareth written by Allison Sledge and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2011-11-07 with total page 344 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Penned by Allison Sledge, The Quintessential Jesus of Nazareth is a penetrating, intellectually profound masterpiece of the Highest Order. Ms. Sledge is a premier scholar of gnosticism, comparative religion, Biblical nomenclature, symbolism, onomastics, metaphysics, kaballah, mysticism and spiritual initiation. Her book transports the reader beyond space and time - into the mind, heart, spirit and soul of The Master Jesus, on every conceivable level which is not generally known to the masses. Many of the Holy Scriptures chapters and verses will be viewed from a different perspective; as was once perceived with the universal eyes with which Jesus viewed the world, rather than what many of the modern clergy promulgate and attempt to teach the majority of unenlightened souls. This book is designed to enlighten each reader to depths they might not have ever imagined Never before has a writer dared to be so bold as to interpret the Natal Birth Chart of Jesus Christ, a Piscean, born on March 19th, 07 BC, while elevating and re-creating awareness, understanding and insight to completely new heights of all inclusive universal comprehension. This Authors book was written in a stream of consciousness with God, emanating from her deep connection with Jesus of Nazareth. Intertwining her personal observations within the subject matter, Allison Sledge methodically includes the works of Edgar Cayce, The Keys of Enoch, The Aquarian Gospel and Egyptology. She engages her familiarity with science, mathematics, planetary energies, and Biblical personalities. Her work highlights the thread of unity, which connects the Old Testament with the New Testament in symbolic patterns, from Genesis to Revelations. Her goal is to be inclusive rather than exclusive, thus incorporating differing thoughts and opinions into the ultimate reality that We Are All One, despite our conflicting beliefs; just as Jesus taught. Contemplating the reality and purpose of human existence surely must lead us to wonder how we, as human beings created in the image of God, do not truly know God as Jesus. There is a disconnection. Even more profound is the fact that Jesus, The Christ, died a horrendous death by execution in order to instill in each one of us His everlasting message: That we love one another as we love ourselves... Sadly, the state of the world today reflects the exact opposite of His hopes and wishes. The Book, now in your hands, was given to you to know the Real Jesus of Nazareth, inside and out, like you have never, ever known before. Enjoy it, and God Bless You.

Download or read book Sanctified Aggression written by Jonneke Bekkenkamp and published by A&C Black. This book was released on 2004-06-01 with total page 262 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sanctified Aggression allies itself neither with the easy assumption that religions are by definition violent (and that only the secular/humanist/humane can offer a place of refuge from the ravages of religious authority) nor with the equally facile opposing view that religion expresses the "best" of human aspirations and that this best is always capable of diffusing or sublating the worst. Rather, it works from the premise that biblical, Jewish and Christian vocabularies continue to resonate, inspire and misfire. Some of the essays here explore how these vocabularies and symbols have influenced, or resonate with, events such as the massacre of Jews in Jedwabne, Poland (1941), the Rwandan Massacre (1994), the tragedy at Columbine High School (1999) and the emergence of the "Phineas Priesthood" of white supremacists in North America. Other contributors examine how themes of martyrology, sacrifice and the messianic continue to circulate and mutate in literature, music, drama and film. The collective conclusion is that it is not possible to control biblical and religious violence by simply identifying canonical trouble-spots, then fencing them off with barbed wire or holding peace summits around them. Nor is it always possible to draw clear lines between problem and non-problem texts, witnesses and perpetrators, victims and aggressors or "reality" and "art".

Book excerpt: "The last great work of the age of reason, the final instance when all human knowledge could be presented with a single point of view ... Unabashed optimism, and unabashed racism, pervades many entries in the 11th, and provide its defining characteristics ... Despite its occasional ugliness, the reputation of the 11th persists today because of the staggering depth of knowledge contained with its volumes. It is especially strong in its biographical entries. These delve deeply into the history of men and women prominent in their eras who have since been largely forgotten - except by the historians, scholars"-- The Guardian, https://www.theguardian.com/books/booksblog/2012/apr/10/encyclopedia-britannica-11th-edition.
