Book Styrene Styrene 7 8 oxide and Quinoline

Download or read book Styrene Styrene 7 8 oxide and Quinoline written by IARC Working Group on the Evaluation of Carcinogenic Risks to Humans and published by . This book was released on 2019 with total page 345 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume of the IARC Monographs provides evaluations of the carcinogenicity of quinoline, styrene, and styrene-7,8-oxide. Quinoline and styrene are present in air pollution and in tobacco smoke. Quinoline also occurs in the processing of petroleum and shale oil, and is found in groundwater and soil at sites contaminated by coal tar and creosote. Quinoline and styrene are high production volume chemicals. Quinoline is used to produce various drugs and dyes. Styrene is primarily used in the production of polystyrene polymers. Styrene-7,8-oxide is primarily used to produce epoxy resins. Styrene-7,8-oxide is the primary metabolite of styrene in humans. Styrene and styrene-7,8-oxide are found in workplace air, particularly in the reinforced plastics industry and the rubber industry. Exposure to these agents may occur in the general population as well as in various occupational settings. An IARC Monographs Working Group reviewed epidemiological evidence, animal bioassays, and mechanistic and other relevant data to reach conclusions as to the carcinogenic hazard to humans of environmental or occupational exposure to these agents.

This book was released on 2019-09-17 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This report presents a cost analysis of Styrene production from methanol and toluene. The process examined is similar to Exelus Styrene Monomer Technology (ExSyM). In this process, toluene undergoes an alkylation reaction with methanol to produce Styrene. Ethylbenzene is also generated as by-product. This report was developed based essentially on the following reference(s): Keywords: Styrene Monomer, Methanol, Toluene Alkylation, Exelus, ExSyM, SM

Book Styrene Production from Ethane Benzene Cost Analysis Styrene E31A

Download or read book Styrene Production from Ethane Benzene Cost Analysis Styrene E31A written by Intratec and published by Intratec. This book was released on 2019-09-17 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This report presents a cost analysis of Styrene production from ethane and benzene. The process examined is based on concepts proposed in patents issued to Dow and Snamprogetti. In this process, ethylbenzene (EB) is first generated from benzene feedstock and recycled ethylene. Then, fresh ethane and the EB are fed to a dehydrogenation reactor to simultaneously form ethylene, which is recycled, and Styrene as final product. Pure hydrogen is also generated as by-product. This report was developed based essentially on the following reference(s): Keywords: Styrene Monomer, SM, Ethylbenzene, Ethylene, Benzene, Alkylation, Dow, Snamprogetti

Book Styrene Production from Propylene Ethylbenzene Cost Analysis Styrene E21A

Download or read book Styrene Production from Propylene Ethylbenzene Cost Analysis Styrene E21A written by Intratec and published by Intratec. This book was released on 2019-09-17 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This report presents a cost analysis of Styrene production from chemical grade (CG) propylene and ethylbenzene. The process examined is a propylene oxide/styrene monomer (POSM) process similar to LyondellBasell technology. In this process, ethylbenzene is oxidized to produce ethylbenzene hydroperoxide, which reacts with propylene to produce Styrene and propylene oxide products. This report was developed based essentially on the following reference(s): "Propylene Oxide", Ullmann's Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry, 7th edition Keywords: Propene, Ethylbenzol, Oxidation, Epoxidation, EBHP, Phenylethene, POSM

Book Styrene Production from Ethane Benzene Cost Analysis Styrene E32A

Download or read book Styrene Production from Ethane Benzene Cost Analysis Styrene E32A written by Intratec and published by Intratec. This book was released on 2019-09-17 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This report presents a cost analysis of Styrene production from ethane and benzene. The process examined was based on concepts proposed in patents issued to Dow and Snamprogetti. In this process, ethylbenzene (EB) is first generated from benzene raw material and recycled ethylene. Then, fresh ethane and the EB are fed to a dehydrogenation reactor to simultaneously form ethylene, which is recycled, and Styrene as final product. Hydrogen generated is valued as fuel. This report was developed based essentially on the following reference(s): Keywords: Styrene Monomer, SM, Ethylbenzene, Ethylene, Benzene, Alkylation, Dow, Snamprogetti

Book Styrene Acrylonitrile Resin Production Cost Analysis SAN E11A

Download or read book Styrene Acrylonitrile Resin Production Cost Analysis SAN E11A written by Intratec and published by Intratec. This book was released on 2019-09-17 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This report presents a cost analysis of Styrene/Acrylonitrile (SAN) copolymer production from styrene and acrylonitrile. The process examined is a typical bulk polymerization process. In this process the continuous mass copolymerization of acrylonitrile and styrene to Styrene-Acrylonitrile Resin takes place in the presence of small quantities of ethylbenzene. The reaction product is submitted to a devolatilization step where monomers are recovered and recycled. The SAN melt passes through an extrusion and pelletizing system, is packed and stored. This report was developed based essentially on the following reference(s): "Acrylonitrile Polymers, Survey and Styrene-Acrylonitile (SAN)", Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology, 5th edition; Keywords: SAN Resin, Styrene-Acrylonitrile Copolymer
