Book Community Series Towards a Meaningful Instrumental Music Education Methods Perspectives and Challenges Volume II

Download or read book Community Series Towards a Meaningful Instrumental Music Education Methods Perspectives and Challenges Volume II written by Andrea Schiavio and published by Frontiers Media SA. This book was released on 2024-02-26 with total page 173 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Trying to understand the complex interplay between effective learning and personal experience is one of the main challenges for instrumental music education. Much of the research that focuses on effective learning outcomes often adopts experimental methodologies that do not allow for a thorough examination of the subjective and social processes that accompany each student's musical journey; on the contrary, contributions dedicated to the detailed analysis of the learners' lived experience often do not offer generalizable outcomes to different types of learning and teaching.

Book Digitalization in Education Developing Tools for Effective Learning and Personalisation of Education

This book was released on 2024-08-20 with total page 128 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Technology-driven trends in the modern society have transformed the ways humans think and communicate. The latest technological artefacts and devices have a profound impact on the forms of interaction between individuals and also significantly influence the process of co construction of knowledge. The COVID pandemic induced experience of remote teaching has significantly contributed to the widespread use of digital technologies in teaching - learning processes, faculty communications, research collaborations, conferences and workshops. The crisis also led to an understanding of the uncertainty of returning to conventional normal and paved way for a new normal ushered by the COVID pandemic. Such transformations create a need for Institutions to prioritize identification of perspective models of digitalization in education (Salmon, 2013). Teachers, teacher educators and policymakers need to collaborate for co-constructing the technology-assisted classroom that will gradually evolve from teaching supplements to pivotal support for creating a personal learning environment (Dabbagh et al., 2021). This article collection aims at examining teachers’ experience in implementation of computer technologies and exploring gaps and challenges in the current academic educational practice with regard to use of digital tools. Various elements of digital environment including online courses, e-resources, virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence and robotics have become an integral component of learning and fostering students skills, practical teaching experience and effective professional training . It is imperative that aspects of e education are discussed at the global level in order to stimulate creation of personal learning environments, meet inclusive learning needs, support life-long education and identify relevant digital technologies for upgradation of pedagogical methods and teacher strategies in education.

Irwin and Nelms' Engineering Circuit Analysis has long been regarded as the most dependable textbook on the subject. Focusing on the most complete set of pedagogical tools available and student-centered learning design, this book helps students complete the connection between theory and practice and build their problem-solving skills. These are then followed by Learning Assessments, which allow students to work similar problems and check their results against the answers provided. At the end of each chapter, the book includes a robust set of conceptual and computational problems at a wide range of difficulty levels. This International Adaptation enhances the coverage of network theorems by adding new theorems such as reciprocity, compensation, and Millman's, and strengthens the topic of filter networks by including cascaded and Butterworth filters. Book Mourning a Breast

  • Author : Xi Xi
  • Publisher : New York Review of Books
  • Release : 2024-07-09
  • ISBN : 1681378221
  • Pages : 321 pages

Download or read book Mourning a Breast written by Xi Xi and published by New York Review of Books. This book was released on 2024-07-09 with total page 321 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: By Xi Xi, part of the first generation of writers raised in Hong Kong, a wise and amiably written book of autobiographical fiction on the author’s experience with breast cancer—from diagnosis to treatment to recovery—and her passage from a life lived through the mind into a life lived through the body. In 1989, the acclaimed Hong Kong writer Xi Xi was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her semi-autobiographical novel Mourning a Breast is a disarmingly honest and inventive account of the author’s experience of a mastectomy and of her subsequent recovery. The book opens with her putting away a bathing suit. As the routine pleasure of swimming is revoked, the small loss stands in for the greater one. But Xi Xi’s mourning begins to take shape as a form of activism. Addressing her reader as frankly and unashamedly as an old friend, she describes what she is going through; finds consolation in art, literature, and cinema; and advocates for a universal literacy of the body. Mourning a Breast was heralded as one of the first Chinese-language books to cast off the stigma of writing about illness and to expose the myths associated with breast cancer. It is a radical novel about creating in the midst of mourning.
