Book excerpt: Using about 23M B{bar B} events collected in 1999-2000 with the BABAR detector, they report on the decays B 2!D(*){bar D}(*)K and B° 2!D*D*−. The branching fractions of the low background decay modes B° 2!D*− D(*)°K are determined to be [Beta](B° 2!D*− D°K+) = (2.8 ± 0.7 ± 0.5) x 10−3 and [Beta](B° 2!D*−D*°K+) = (6.8 ± 1.7 ± 1.7) x 10−3, where the first error quoted is statistical and the second systematic. Observation of a significant number of candidates in the color-suppressed decay mode B+ 2!D*+D*− K+ is reported with a branching fraction [Beta](B+ 2!D*+D*− K+) = (3.4 ± 1.6 ± 0.9) x 10−3. Decays of the type B 2!D(*){bar D}(*) can be used to provide a measurement of the parameter sin2[beta] of the Unitarity Triangle. For this decay mode they measure a branching fraction of [Beta](B° 2!D*+D*−) = (8.0 ± 1.6 ± 1.2) x 10−4.

Book excerpt: We present results from BaBar experiment for the measurement of inclusive and exclusive branching fractions of B mesons into final states containing J/[psi], [psi](2S) and[chi]c. The contributions of CP even and odd amplitudes in the decay B[sup 0][yields] J/[psi]K*[sup 0] are determined from an angular analysis. We report the measurements of the branching ratios B[sup 0][yields] D*[sup+] D*[sup -] and D*[sup+] D*[sup -] K[sub S][sup 0], and the study of exclusive two-body and quasi-two-body charmless decays. The branching fraction of the decay B[sup 0][yields] K*[sup 0][gamma] has been determined and the corresponding CP asymmetry has been measured.

These searches utilize a technique in which we fully reconstruct the accompanying B̄ in [Upsilon](4S)[arrow] BB̄ events, and look for a monoenergetic lepton in the signal B frame. The signal yield in the data is extracted from a fit to the signal lepton candidate momentum distribution in the signal B rest frame. Using a data sample of approximately 378 million BB̄ pairs (342 fb-1), we find no evidence of signal in any of the decay modes. Branching fraction upper limits of B (B+[arrow] e +[nu])
