Fellow Adventist pioneer John Burden found a property that had failed in two previous business ventures--first as a hotel, then as a sanitarium. The asking price was already well below the property's value, and the buildings were already fully furnished and stocked. "Make an offer," White told him. With his own money as down payment, Burden set in motion what has become a network of multiple hospitals and professional schools. Miracle upon miracle was needed to keep the fledgling organization afloat. Be inspired by the way the hand of Providence has--and continues to--work on behalf of Loma Linda.
