Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I was counting down the months until the end of my deployment. My days were spent working on military vehicles, and I spent my nights playing video games that would distract me until I could leave Staff Sergeant Garrett Reid behind. That was when I met him: Kai Bannon, a fellow gamer with a famous stream channel. I never expected to become fixated on someone who'd initially been a rival. And I'd never expected someone who oozed charm to notice me-a guy known for his brutal honesty and scowl. I hadn't planned for our online friendship to turn into something that kept me up at night-hours of chatting evolving into filthy webcam sessions. But it did. And now I can't stop thinking about him. In my mind, our real life meeting is perfect. We kiss, we fall into bed, and it's love at first sight. Except, like most things in my life, it doesn't go as planned. *Strong Signal is a standalone, full-length novel with no cliffhanger*

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In recent years, pseudo random signal processing has proven to be a critical enabler of modern communication, information, security and measurement systems. The signal’s pseudo random, noise-like properties make it vitally important as a tool for protecting against interference, alleviating multipath propagation and allowing the potential of sharing bandwidth with other users. Taking a practical approach to the topic, this text provides a comprehensive and systematic guide to understanding and using pseudo random signals. Covering theoretical principles, design methodologies and applications, Pseudo Random Signal Processing: Theory and Application: sets out the mathematical foundations needed to implement powerful pseudo random signal processing techniques; presents information about binary and nonbinary pseudo random sequence generation and design objectives; examines the creation of system architectures, including those with microprocessors, digital signal processors, memory circuits and software suits; gives a detailed discussion of sophisticated applications such as spread spectrum communications, ranging and satellite navigation systems, scrambling, system verification, and sensor and optical fibre systems. Pseudo Random Signal Processing: Theory and Applicationis an essential introduction to the subject for practising Electronics Engineers and researchers in the fields of mobile communications, satellite navigation, signal analysis, circuit testing, cryptology, watermarking, and measurement. It is also a useful reference for graduate students taking courses in Electronics, Communications and Computer Engineering.

Following an initial overview, subsequent chapters examine each co-signal molecule in turn and discuss the mechanisms by which co-signal molecules regulate the different types of T cell. The second part covers various clinical applications, including in autoimmune disease, neurological disorders, transplantation, graft-versus-host disease, and cancer immunotherapy. To date, co-stimulation blockade and co-inhibition blockade have shown beneficial effects and many additional clinical trials targeting co-signal molecules are ongoing. The mechanisms underlying these successful treatments are explained and the future therapeutic potential in the aforementioned diseases is evaluated. Co-signal Molecules in T Cell Activation will be a valuable reference guide to co-stimulation for basic and clinical researchers in the fields of both immunology and pharmaceutical science.

Book Profiting from Technical Analysis and Candlestick Indicators

Download or read book Profiting from Technical Analysis and Candlestick Indicators written by Michael C. Thomsett and published by Pearson Education. This book was released on 2014-12-12 with total page 299 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This visual, example-driven guide will help you integrate "Western" technical analysis with "Eastern" candlestick charting to create an exceptionally powerful and dynamic system for timing trades. Top trader Michael C. Thomsett explains why candlesticks complement traditional resistance/support-based analyses rather than contradicting or competing with them. One step at a time, you'll learn how to use them together to identify crucial reversal and confirmation signals more rapidly and reliably. Thomsett reviews how traditional and candlestick methods each identify patterns indicating future stock behavior, and reversal, and shows how to use each system to gain cross-confirmation and strengthen the reliability of your predictions. Profiting from Technical Analysis and Candlestick Indicators showshow to uncover reversal signals in both systems; how to use candlesticks and well-known technical signals to forecast pricing; how to recognize signal failures and false leads; how to profit from Western and Eastern indicators in swing trading; and how to use them together to reduce risk.

Book Modern HF Signal Detection and Direction Finding

Download or read book Modern HF Signal Detection and Direction Finding written by Jay R. Sklar and published by MIT Press. This book was released on 2018-09-25 with total page 369 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Detailed descriptions of detection, direction-finding, and signal-estimation methods, using consistent formalisms and notation, emphasizing HF antenna array sensing applications. Adaptive antenna array technology encompasses many powerful interference suppression approaches that exploit spatial differences among signals reaching a radio receiver system. Today, worldwide propagation phenomenology occurring in the High Frequency (HF) radio regime has made such interference common. In this book, Jay Sklar, a longtime researcher at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, presents detailed descriptions of detection, direction-finding, and signal-estimation methods applicable at HF, using consistent formalisms and notation. Modern electronic system technology has made many of these techniques affordable and practical; the goal of the book is to offer practicing engineers a comprehensive and self-contained reference that will encourage more widespread application of these approaches. The book is based on the author's thirty years of managing MIT Lincoln Laboratory work on the application of adaptive antenna array technologies to the sensing of HF communication signals. After an overview of HF propagation phenomenology, communication signal formats, and HF receiver architectural approaches, Sklar describes the HF propagation environment in more detail; introduces important modulation approaches and signaling protocols used at HF; discusses HF receiver system architectural features; and addresses signal processor architecture and its implementation. He then presents the technical foundation for the book: the vector model for a signal received at an adaptive array antenna. He follows this with discussions of actual signal processing techniques for detection and direction finding, including specific direction-finding algorithms; geolocation techniques; and signal estimation.
