Download or read book Strong Stable Markov Chains written by N. V. Kartašov and published by VSP. This book was released on 1996 with total page 148 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monograph presents a new approach to the investigation of ergodicity and stability problems for homogeneous Markov chains with a discrete-time and with values in a measurable space. The main purpose of this book is to highlight various methods for the explicit evaluation of estimates for convergence rates in ergodic theorems and in stability theorems for wide classes of chains. These methods are based on the classical perturbation theory of linear operators in Banach spaces and give new results even for finite chains. In the first part of the book, the theory of uniform ergodic chains with respect to a given norm is developed. In the second part of the book the condition of the uniform ergodicity is removed.

Download or read book I Maybot written by John Crace and published by Faber & Faber. This book was released on 2017-10-31 with total page 186 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 'The Maybot is rebooted as strong and humble. Stumble for short.' 'Kim Jong-May awkward and incredulous as journalist asks question.' 'Supreme leader produces pure TV Valium on The One Show.' Throughout 2017 John Crace, the Guardian's parliamentary sketch writer, has watched Prime Minister Theresa May's efforts to remain strong and stable - and, indeed, Prime Minister. He coined the term 'Maybot' for her malfunctioning public appearances. And now, in this edited collection of his unremittingly witty sketches, he tells the full story of Theresa May's turbulent first year in Westminster. As waspishly hilarious as Craig Brown's diaries in Private Eye, I, Maybot is essential and hysterically funny reading for anyone trying to make sense of our crazy political year.

Download or read book Representation Theory and Beyond written by Jan Šťovíček and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 2020-11-13 with total page 298 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume contains the proceedings of the Workshop and 18th International Conference on Representations of Algebras (ICRA 2018) held from August 8–17, 2018, in Prague, Czech Republic. It presents several themes of contemporary representation theory together with some new tools, such as stable ∞ ∞-categories, stable derivators, and contramodules. In the first part, expanded lecture notes of four courses delivered at the workshop are presented, covering the representation theory of finite sets with correspondences, geometric theory of quiver Grassmannians, recent applications of contramodules to tilting theory, as well as symmetries in the representation theory over an abstract stable homotopy theory. The second part consists of six more-advanced papers based on plenary talks of the conference, presenting selected topics from contemporary representation theory: recollements and purity, maximal green sequences, cohomological Hall algebras, Hochschild cohomology of associative algebras, cohomology of local selfinjective algebras, and the higher Auslander–Reiten theory studied via homotopy theory.

Behind every social and spiritual problem stands the greater problem of the foundation. The foundation of our life is the source of our spiritual strength and stability. We cannot withstand or overcome the demonic forces of this world without building a strong spiritual foundation. Satan's goal is to tamper with our spiritual foundation, which is the source or center of our belief, faith, stability, and trust in God. In Revisiting the Foundations, author Kazumba Charles shows you how to build your foundation with the only one who can defeat SatanJesus Christ! The author takes you through questions to assess your present situation. Is your spiritual foundation strong enough to withstand the pressures of life? Are you ready to become spiritually healthy, desire to change the current condition of your life, and become steadfast in your faith and trust in God? Download or read book Critical Review of the Abe Administration written by International House of Japan and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2023-12-12 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The second Abe administration, which lasted for seven years and eight months, turned out to be the longest administration in Japan’s constitutional history. What factors contributed to its remarkable longevity? What accomplishments and enduring legacies did this administration achieve during its tenure? Originally published in Bungeishunju in Japanese, this book examines policies pursued by the administration and its governance based on over 50 investigative interviews with key figures in the administration, including former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The contributors cover nine major policies, including economic policy, diplomacy and security, work style reform, trade liberalization, and historical issues, and explore why a specific policy was chosen at that time, who made that decision, and on what grounds. Reviewing such decision-making processes sheds light on the issue of governance. Consequently, this book also analyses the administration’s distinctive style of governance, such as strong leadership from the Prime Minister’s Office, ability to navigate party politics, and overwhelming victories in national elections. An essential for scholars and students in the fields of public administration, public policy, Japanese studies, and Asian Studies.

Book excerpt: About the Book: Shree Rama Rajya book is presented by Shree Rama Rajya Parishad is an entity to bring a prayojan to awaken 21st century Hindu Jana and lead them towards “Dharma Yogita”. The messages from book awaken Hindu Jana to move from a state of imperfection to a state of perfection: One Jiva at a time, one Samaj at the time, one Nagar at a time, and one Mahajanapada at a time. About Shree Rama Rajya Parishad: Shree Rama Rajya Parishad urges Hindu Jana to accept Bhagwan Mansha (wisdom) to have diversity and distribution of Guna (gifts and skills. It motivates Hindu Jana to grow up to be Shishu Praudha (adult children) of Bhagwan. As Praudha, they will not only take care of themselves but also help Muka (mute), Akantha (voiceless), and Vidhura (helpless). It supports a free-market economy. And accept inequality due to diversity and inequality of skills. Parishad believes in an elected civilian government with limited-term dictatorial powers. Their primary roles would be to maintain Dharma (law and order), Samanta (fairness), and act as managers of the public resources; passing new laws and regulations would be their secondary role. Download or read book Informal Norms in Global Governance written by Wolfgang Hein and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2016-05-23 with total page 266 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hein and Moon take up a serious problem of contemporary global governance: what can be done when international trade rules prevent the realization of basic human rights? Starting in the 1990s, intellectual property obligations in trade agreements required many developing countries to begin granting medicines patents, which often rendered lifesaving drugs unaffordable. At stake was the question of what priority would be given to health-particularly of some of the world’s poorest people-and what priority to economic interests, particularly those of the most powerful states and firms. This book recounts the remarkable story of the access to medicines movement. The authors offer an explanation for how the informal, but powerful norm that every person should have access to essential medicines emerged after a decade of heated political contestation and against long odds. They also explore the stability and scope of the norm. Finally, the book examines the limitations of informal norms for protecting human rights, and when renewed focus on changing formal norms is warranted.

Download or read book The Origins of the Vietnam War written by A. Short and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2014-06-11 with total page 364 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This study examines the origins of the Vietnam War itself, going back to the nature of French colonial rule in the early 20th century. It investigates the original conflict between France, as well as the United States, and the forces of Vietnamese nationalism and communism. It argues that it was probably a mistake for the United States to internationalize the war in 1954 and it discusses the American commitment to the war, directed as much against China as against North Vietnam and the ideological hostility to communism.
