Ils sont largement sous-diagnostiqués et insuffisamment traités, la prévalence de ce trouble atteignant 5% de la population générale.Le trouble bipolaire est une affection souvent complexe dont le traitement ne se limite pas à la prise en charge médicamenteuse qui a beaucoup évoluée depuis ces dernières années. En effet, une prise en charge par des traitements psychosociaux est essentielle et nécessite le recours à de nombreux professionnels de santé adoptant une approche coopérative et multidisciplinaire.Dans l'avenir, le pharmacien d'officine a la possibilité de s'inscrire dans la prise en charge des patients atteints de troubles bipolaires à travers des entretiens individuels, dans une démarche d'améliorations de la qualité de la prise en charge et en faveur d'une meilleure observance. Ce suivi pharmaceutique pourrait encourager les patients et les responsabiliser face à leur pathologie pour éviter d'aggraver le pronostic de leur bipolarité en plus des nombreux facteurs de risque défavorables à l'évolution de la pathologie. Ainsi, même si le chemin est encore long à parcourir, il serait intéressant d'extrapoler ces entretiens pharmaceutiques aux autres pathologies mentales.

Diagnosing ADHD in patients with SUD is not easy due to the large overlap of the ADHD characteristics with symptoms of intoxication and withdrawal. These patients often disappear prematurely from the treatment services, on the one hand because their untreated ADHD symptoms make it more diffi cult to follow the therapy, on the other hand because the treatment programs do not take their limitations into account.
