Yes-I’m saying intelligent life has existed on Earth that long, and since humanity and even primates don’t exist in those times at all, aliens must have lived on the Earth at that time. There are three parts to this book: Part One - Millions of Years Ago This includes stories of aliens existing on Earth in our history, and many out of place objects made by intelligent beings, and the fossil record which provides supporting evidence that intelligent life did exist at those times. Part Two - The Unknown Civilizations of Man Here we have evidence of structures built by man but way before any accepted records that civilization or man made constructions existed. This introduction to the topic of modality emphasizes the metaphysics of modality - in particular, the view that a commitment to possible worlds gives us the best way to understand modality - rather than the formal semantics of quantified modal logic. Joseph Melia shows how different theories about possible worlds not only influence our more general modal beliefs but illustrate and illuminate methodological considerations such as ontological and ideological parsimony, the degree to which any philosophical theory ought to respect common sense, and the nature of philosophical analysis. Melia begins by introducing students to the de re/de dicto distinction, conventionalist and conceptualist theories, and some of the key problems in modality. He then explains how possible worlds provide a solution to many of these problems and how possible worlds themselves have been used to analyse notions outside modality such as properties and propositions. Melia also shows how possible worlds can introduce new problems of their own and argues that to make progress with these problems a theory of possible worlds is required. The pros and cons of various theories are examined in turn, including those of Lewis, Kripke, Adams, Stalnaker, and Plantinga.

The experiences of my life in this book should also give you a good idea of the circumstances which created the person I am today, and why I write the books that I do. I’ve grouped my major life experiences mostly sequentially, but some things which took place over longer periods of time are grouped together. So there is some overlap in different chapters of my life. But you can see how all these topics blend together.

His friends who followed the conventional career path experienced terrible lives when most of them were wiped out in the great depression. Even one who made it big financially was mainly interested in earthly status which doesn’t’ make a difference in the long run. My point is that we need to be thoughtful about how we envision the future of our lives so we live life with meaning and don’t have unrealistic expectations. Thinking about life this way is the first way to avoid having a fear of failure. In this book we review the reasons people have fears of failure, persons who changed failure into success, and how to modify our lives to change our fears of failure into a path for success and happiness.
