The program was developed for Anglicare Victoria in 1997 in response to increasing numbers of referrals from parents whose adolescent sons and daughters were behaving violently or abusively within the family home. It aims to improve parenting approaches, reduce adolescent-to-parent violence, and improve the parent-adolescent relationship. The program is delivered by Meridian Youth and Family Counselling Services, operating from Anglicare Victoria's Box Hill office. This report presents an evaluation of the effectiveness of the program in achieving its aims, based on interviews with program participants and a control group.
