Book Stop Advertising Start Branding

Download or read book Stop Advertising Start Branding written by Marcus Osborne and published by Troubador Publishing Ltd. This book was released on 2016-03-03 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ‘A five-star triumph. This has to be SE Asia’s business book of the year.’ Kevin Boland, CEO, OHMM Pte Ltd, Singapore. Traditional advertising doesn’t work any more. Even Samsung, with a marketing budget of US$14 billion a year, is seeing profits plummet and smartphone sales decline sharply. The world has changed, and throwing money at the problem isn’t going to be the answer. For the global giants aiming to dominate SE Asia’s fast-growing markets, this is dreadful news. For the local and regional companies that are fighting to beat off the invaders, the end of the era of mass market advertising offers a wealth of new opportunities. What matters now, above everything, is building a strong, durable brand, based on great customer relationships. And the key to that is what you do, not how much you spend. Marcus Osborne demonstrates how many organisations can cut their marketing costs by up to 50 per cent yet still achieve better results: ‘Take your money,’ he says, ‘and put it back in the bank.’ He gives practical guidance on all the fine details, from retraining staff to deliver an unforgettable experience to collecting the right data and how to use Facebook and other tools to build a brand that will guarantee a profitable future. Written for CEOs and government servants keen to communicate more effectively with citizens, Stop Advertising Start Branding draws on Marcus’ vast experience in the region to show how SE Asian companies can use the new tools provided by the internet and social media to engage and win customers and keep those customers coming back to their brands. He demonstrates how many organisations can cut their marketing costs yet still achieve better, more measurable results. ‘An experienced understanding of what works and what doesn’t,’ Bobby McGill, Editor-in-Chief, Branding in Asia.

Book Business Doesn t Grow On Trees

Download or read book Business Doesn t Grow On Trees written by Dror Wayne and published by . This book was released on 2020-11-11 with total page 146 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Business Doesn't Grow On Trees is all about marketing. You see, to have a successful business, you need to get the product right. The product can be a service or good, in any industry... you need to get it right or all the marketing in the world can't save you. But having the product alone isn't enough. Every year, thousands of people start new businesses. They have great ideas, work hard and invest significantly... but most fail. The reason they fail is because they're not generating enough revenue - they're not making enough money. And a business that doesn't generate revenue isn't a business, it's a hobby. So how do you generate revenue? You need customers. You need to find people and convince them to give you their money. Their hard-earned money which they have other plans for. You could do that with a baseball bat, knuckledusters and a menacing look...Or you do it with marketing. That word again. The word that gets bandied about and costs so many people so much money... without producing results. Marketing. I don't believe that marketing is that complex. Sure, when you've got huge budgets, teams and you're competing in an ultra-complex space such as Tech, it can become more difficult because everyone is marketing. For the rest of us, it's not that hard. And it's time to stop being ripped off by "experts" who charge big money to execute random little bits of marketing without any strategy... or "strategists" who charge even more money to waffle on as if they know what they're talking about without doing any marketing... It's time to stop spending money on no results and strip marketing back to the basics. So I decided to write this book with my process for beginning (or relaunching) marketing for a business. A book that simplifies marketing - from the brand foundations to deeper strategies - into digestible logic. I'm not pretending to have all the answers and I'm not asking you to trust me any more than the gazillion other marketing people out there. All I'm asking you to do is hold off a week before you spend £5,000 on awful web design and £10,000 on nonsense strategy... and spend under £10 on my book instead. That way, when you do go to invest in all those other bits, you'll have some idea what's flying. £10 to stop you wasting hundreds or thousands. I think it's a bargain.
