Book StOP WARNING SIGNS DO NOT IGNORE

Download or read book StOP WARNING SIGNS DO NOT IGNORE written by Margaret Smith and published by . This book was released on 2017-03-10 with total page 60 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Written by Rev. Margaret Smith, "STOP!!! WARNING SIGNS - DO NOT IGNORE" is based on the predicted return of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. According to Matthew 24, his disciples were curious about His return to earth after His predicted death and resurrection. Though He did not share the specific time of His return, He gave them signs that will precede His return so that they and those that will be alive during this occurrence will take the necessary precautions in order to endure to the end. It is obvious that many have died waiting for the promised return. But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. (2Peter 3:8) However, they have passed on the information to us so that no matter what deception or crisis we face we will remain committed to our faith in God and ready-not give in to seductive spirits. So let us be obedient to God even when intellectually we cannot see or understand the path ahead. (Prov. 3:5)Be prepared like the five wise virgins in the bible who were ready even though the bridegroom delayed his arrival. It is not God's will for any to perish but that all may come into eternal life. Hence His delay. Our God is merciful, loving and kind.

Book excerpt: Does your marriage need a tune-up? Are the pressures of life pulling you apart? Have you gotten so busy with your lives that you have forgotten about your dreams? What you need is a little bit of faith and a great big change of perspective. What you need is a fresh word from God. Most of you believe Psalms 119:105, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." But all too often, the reality is that we don't really understand God's will, and we don't know his plan for our marriage. If I have hit the nail on the head take courage, take hope, and take this book home with you. In it you will discover the pathway of God's Living Word. Pathway to Intimacy will teach you how to seek God's will for your marriage, how to find answers in God's Word, how to empower your relationship with renewed love, and how to intertwine God in your marriage. My God can change your perspective and empower you to change your circumstances. My God has a word for your marriage, and once you hear that word, you will never be the same again.

Book Stop the Screaming

Download or read book Stop the Screaming written by Carl E. Pickhardt and published by Macmillan + ORM. This book was released on 2009-01-06 with total page 137 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Parenting expert Carl E. Pickhardt brings his considerable experience to tackling the most pervasive and difficult problems parents face in childrearing. Whereas many books on family conflict focus on the prickly teenage years, Pickhardt takes the long view and treats a broad range of ages--starting from the early toddler years all the way through college. He empowers parents to turn conflict into an opportunity to engage with their children on a deeper level. Readers will learn to: - Manage emotion during a fight so that you can hear the feelings behind the vitriol without taking offense. - Give criticism to children in a way that focuses on the behavior and not the person. - Find a hook inside silent tension that will let you connect with your children's feelings and show them a way to empathize with yours. - Consider your children's point of view during a disagreement and teach them to voice their grievances with respect. With a distinctive emphasis on how to distinguish types of conflict dependent on age and gender, Pickhardt shows parents how to turn the daily battles into opportunities for growth. This is a practical guide that helps parents confront difficult issues with which all families grapple.

Book Preparing for Marriage

Download or read book Preparing for Marriage written by Jim and Teresa Adams and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2015-05-12 with total page 220 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Whether you're in a relationship now or want to be in one, you have come to the right place. We can help. The average couple spends $25,200 and over 250 hours on their wedding. That same couple spends less than $100 and two hours on their marriage. Don't be guilty of having a BIG wedding and a BAD marriage. Don't spend more time focused on the ceremony than the matrimony. The wedding, while a tremendous celebration is designed to last less than a day in most cultures, while the marriage is designed to last a lifetime. Dating, engaged, married (happily or unhappily), or remarried, if you follow this resource, it is guaranteed to help you make the right decision about marriage, prepare you for marriage, or strengthen the marriage you are already in. Teresa and I have been working on this manual all our married lives - not because we are really slow writers, but because this manual is the compilation of everything we have learned in our personal lives as a married couple for 30 years with four children - boy do we have some stories to tell - as well as our professional training. This book is a compilation of what we have seen work and not work in more than 20 years of practical application working with dating, engaged, married, and remarried couples. We developed this system out of necessity. We used another manual for more than a decade until it was literally no longer available. We looked for other resources, but never found one that fit our style and that really resonated with the couples we were coaching and counseling. Finally we decided to develop our own. We completed the first draft of this manual in 2010 and started using it in our weekend intensive sessions where Teresa and I meet with a couple for approximately 10 to 12 hours from Friday afternoon through Saturday (all day). As we used this tool, we have been constantly writing, rewriting, and adding as questions and issues arose that we did not initially include in this resource. We would often leave the counseling room that Friday, come home, and add or modify a section based on a situation we saw or anticipated seeing the next day in the intensive. Though we have never made this tool available to anyone other than the couples we have personally worked with, our clients have urged us to share this resource, as they were genuinely moved and changed by the information contained herein. What you hold in your hands is the result of this process. This product was not developed in a classroom, using a lot of relationship theory, but rather forged in the crucible of real-life situations and circumstances. This resource is just the beginning of your journey through Relationship Success University.
