Download or read book God and Cancel Culture written by Stephen E. Strang and published by Charisma Media. This book was released on 2021 with total page 244 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: FROM THE BEST-SELLING AUTHOR OF GOD AND DONALD TRUMP 64% of Americans believe cancel culture is a threat to their freedom. This book will help you realize the seriousness of the battle before us and illuminate the present circumstance for the purpose of doing good-to bring hope. It will document what is happening in our country, how believers can respond, and why we can look expectantly to the future. This is the time for neither religious fatalism nor political inaction. No matter how bad things get in the culture or in government, the Bible is true and God has plans and purposes we don't understand-and in the end we win. Things are chaotic in America. Liberal policies are advancing. A rash of executive orders appears to be moving the nation closer to socialism and a one-world government. And conservatives, including many Christians, are being censored as never before. There's even a term-cancel culture-which 64 percent of Americans believe poses a threat to their freedom, according to a Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll. (Among Republicans, that figure is even higher at 80 percent.) The term applies to all conservatives who oppose the politically correct crowd, but it's part of a bigger effort to cancel Christianity and those who espouse biblical principles. It almost seems this is the beginning of the end and the Antichrist will appear at any time. You pick the cultural or political issue, and there likely is not even the semblance of widespread agreement. It seems that Christians are in an unprecedented season of fragmentation, potential division, and actual separation on many fronts. Instead of going forward, much of the church seems to be moving backward or standing still, waiting for what's next. The body of Christ is a big, diverse family, and we must choose to cheer one another on rather than get into circular firing squads. We are called to advance on every front. This book will assess and affirm the different approaches playing out. The body needs clarity and unity- and has little of both right now. Wounded armies want hope, focus, and encouragement. This book will not throw anyone overboard who is standing for the truth in some positive way. Rather, it will allow readers to look critically at the various approaches vying for our allegiance and attention here in the middle of 2021. In the course of this survey, we will find reason to affirm where people are fighting on the battlefield and validate the perspectives they bring. Featuring interviews with a cross section of leaders, this book will document what is happening in our country, how believers can respond, and why we can look to the future with hope. Even though things are bad, we must understand that conditions have been this bad or worse in the past and God always came through. He has plans and purposes we don't understand. Christians must not lose heart. We must stand strong and not be intimidated. We must pray, and we must believe God for a great awakening. No matter how bad things get in the culture or in government, the Bible is true and "all things work together for good to those who love God" (Rom. 8:28, MEV). That's because we are called according to His purpose. A purpose never goes in reverse. This book will reveal what that looks like in its various forms in the day in which we live. It gives a great handle for promoting unity and appreciation of one another when that is breaking down so badly elsewhere. Indeed, maybe the love Jesus spoke about that makes us recognizable to the world will be seen as this book illuminates the supernatural unity among people of very diverse opinions and approaches while pointedly addressing these various hot-button areas.

Download or read book Stand written by Shanna Cooper and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2019-08-29 with total page 116 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: End-time teaching is a subject that interests all Christians. The location of Christians during tribulation times as described in Bible prophecy is of upmost importance. The purpose of this book is to encourage the people of God to strengthen their faith and put on the whole armor of God to spiritually stand in hard times. Knowledge is a powerful tool to guide the believers' walk. Allowing the Word of God to teach directly is an eye-opener. Human interpretation, assumption, and tradition are not a substitute for direct in-depth Bible research. Tracking in the footsteps of leading end-time theologians of popular thought will lead the Bible student off the trail into the weeds. The message is urgent. The real question is, how will today's Christian handle conflict? God's inspired Word stands firm, independent of our opinion. Is there an unrealistic expectation to receive something that God nor history has promised? Will the believer be able to stand in this volatile world when they have been taught and only prepared for an easy-out escape? Christians serve a big God, a God who has and will provide for his children when he sees fit. Scripture tells how he was in the fiery furnace with the three Hebrew children. God was in the lion's den with Daniel. They persevered and overcame the tribulation of their day. That same God lives today. Believers can overcome by the blood of the Lamb in the tribulation of our day. Discover the protective seal he provides for vast multitudes of believers from all nations. Notice in end-time prophecy how God's terrible judgments on this world are directed only to the nonbelievers. Those seals, bowls, and plagues are targeted only to those who reject Almighty God. This book is a road marker, an encouragement to look into the raw Word of God. You will become a stronger Christian for the effort.

How do we have the faith that can move mountains, heal the sick, and supply our needs? How do we step out in faith as the apostle Peter did when he walked on the water? More importantly, how do we have the kind of faith that pleases God? These and other questions regarding faith have plagued Christians for centuries. Faithwalkers: A Step-by-Step Guide to Pleasing God through Faith answers these questions in simple, down-to-earth language, using examples, analogies, and faith-building stories from the Bible. You will be transported back in time to a dark and stormy night on the Sea of Galilee, where twelve men were being tossed by a troubled sea. You will experience the exhilaration as one of those men decided to take a leap of faith, step out of the little ship, and walk by faith toward Jesus. You will join him in the fear of failure, and the joy of being saved by the only One who could. You will be challenged to examine your own relationship with Jesus, discovering the obstacles to walking hand-in-hand with Him in true faith. You will build the faith muscles needed to be of big faith.

Book excerpt: A troubled college wrestler in North Dakota falls in love and becomes increasingly unhinged during his final season. Stephen Florida follows a college wrestler in his senior season, when every practice, every match, is a step closer to greatness and a step further from sanity. Profane, manic, and tipping into the uncanny, it's a story of loneliness, obsession, and the drive to leave a mark. Stephen is in his final wrestling season at his North Dakota school, and he intends to win the divisional championship in his weight class. He thinks about little else, in fact. It will make up for the failures of the past. It will prove something to the world. It will be the fulfillment of a promise to himself, and a tribute to his late grandmother, who raised him after his parents’ fatal car crash. As the competition in Kenosha, Wisconsin, grows ever closer, Stephen will grow ever more consumed—and unsure of what comes next—in this “utterly engrossing” literary debut" (Dan Chaon, author of Ill Will).

  • Release : 2022-11-08
  • ISBN :
  • Pages : 750 pages

Download or read book But God written by Carol Greener and published by Covenant Books, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-11-08 with total page 750 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: But God... was written to lead or draw the reader to a desire to read more in the Word of God. God chose these particular scripture verses in order to draw more interest of Himself to the reader. A lot of these scripture verses and stories were chosen because some people may not have read or heard about them before. Also, many people do not get in their Bibles or do any daily reading in the Word, and this is a way to get the reader to desire more and to want to know more of God. These simple devotions can be used to draw the reader to the Word of God like an appetizer to the main course.
