Download or read book Process Management and Organizational Process Maturity written by Anna Kosieradzka and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2021-02-02 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book addresses the need for a better understanding of the design, implementation and improvement of process management. It presents and organizes concepts and problems in the field of process management, and indicates supporting tools assigned to each of the four basic stages of the process life cycle (modeling, implementation, verification and perfection). By comparing non-economic and economic organisations, the authors demonstrate that a uniform approach to process management (one that does not take into account the specifics of an organizations goals) is ineffective; instead, process management needs to account for the individuality of an organisation. This book will appeal to researchers studying process and organizational excellence.

Download or read book Industrial Metrology for Medical Products and Devices written by Robert Roithmeier and published by Carl Zeiss AG. This book was released on with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Medical progress is associated with innovative product developments in medical technology, e.g. for different implants and instruments. The developments are also characterized by increasing miniaturization and precision. Hence the demands on the geometric and surface characteristics of the usually complex form elements are growing. Consequently, the need for highly-accurate dimensional inspection for the verification of these characteristics is rapidly increasing. ZEISS successfully and reliably faces these challenges. Being a leading manufacturer of medical technology as well as of measurement and inspection technology, the company ZEISS has a high level of know-how in the industrial production of medical devices and products. This book presents the metrological solutions for the medical technology and explains their application. The required measuring machines and the task-based sensors are addressed to the same extent as the challenges regarding automated 100 % checks. Methods for checking the reliability of measuring results and evaluating the inspection process quality are presented and the required procedures are described in detail. The extended regulations for medical devices and products, e.g. by FDA and MDR, place high demands on the measurement technology used and on the electronic documentation of measurement results. This is addressed in detail at the end of the book; in the appendix, easy-to-use checklists for the regulations according to 21 CFR Part 11 are provided.
Download or read book Determining Cycle Times for Packing in Distribution Centres written by Weiblen, Judith and published by KIT Scientific Publishing. This book was released on 2014-06-27 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Scope of this work is to determine cycle time formulas for packing in distribution centres. No such formulas exist today, even if it is the second most important process after picking. Based on examining packing, morphological boxes showing time influencing parameters are derived. The most significant parameters are identified using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Cycle times are determined and applied to cases. These prove that the formulas can be used to calculate the time required for packing.
Download or read book An Introduction to Design of Experiments written by Larry B. Barrentine and published by Quality Press. This book was released on 2001-09-25 with total page 122 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is intended for people who have either been intimidated in their attempts to learn about Design of Experiments (DOE) or who have not appreciated the potential of that family of tools in their process improvement efforts. This introduction to DOE showcases the power and utility of this statistical tool while teaching the audience how to plan and analyze an experiment. It is also an attempt to dispel the conception that DOE is reserved only for those with advanced mathematics training. It will be demonstrated that DOE is primarily a logic tool that can be easily grasped and applied, requiring only basic math skills. The book's intent is to introduce the basics and persuade the reader of the power of this tool. The material covered will still be sufficient to support a high proportion of the experiments one may wish to perform. Contents:Introduction, Experiments with Two Factors, The Analytical Procedures, The Eight Steps for Analysis of Effects, Review of the Experimental Procedures, The Spreadsheet Approach, Experiments with Three Factors, Variation Analysis, Analysis with Unreplicated Experiments, Screening Design, Other Types of Design, Problems and Questions, Review of the Basics in Managing DOE, What Inhibits Applications of DOE?
