Book Methods for the Dynamic Calibration of Pressure Transducers

Download or read book Methods for the Dynamic Calibration of Pressure Transducers written by Dresser Industries, inc. Dresser Electronics, Southwestern Industrial Electronics Division, Houston, Texas and published by . This book was released on 1963 with total page 122 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Accurate dynamic measurements of pressure are a necessity in the design and development of modern rocket engines. To ensure their accu * racy, precise calibration methods must be employed. The publication is designed to provide a single reference source in which to find, for a particular pressure transducer, the appropriate mathematical model, the mathematical and instrumental methods of analysis, the methods of calibration, and the specific methods for evaluation of test data from each method of calibration.

Book Development of a Pressure Transducer Calibration System Dynamic Pressure Response Caliber Phase 2

Download or read book Development of a Pressure Transducer Calibration System Dynamic Pressure Response Caliber Phase 2 written by and published by . This book was released on 1991 with total page 53 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Current dynamic pressure calibrators are restricted in ultimate peak pressure, bandwidth, and accuracy; in fact, static calibrations are commonly performed for dynamic transducers. A dynamic transducer calibration system has been developed for the bandwidth of 2 to 2,500 Hz. Controlled pressure can be provided, in sine or random format, for a standard transducer and a test transducer. For the frequency bands of 2 to 150 Hz and 1,600 to 2,400 Hz, acoustic pressure levels up to 1.0 psi RMS can be attained. The development of this system demonstrated the application to acoustic-mechanical systems of a hybrid technique known as admittance modeling. (This technique combines experimentally derived test data with finite element model results.) The system can be used with a variety of dynamics transducers. (Author).

Book Gas Transfer at Water Surfaces

Download or read book Gas Transfer at Water Surfaces written by W. Brutsaert and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-04-17 with total page 615 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The transfer across the surface of environmental waters is of interest as an important phase in the geophysical and natural biochemical cycles of numer ous substances; indeed it governs the transition, one way or the other, be tween the dissolved state in the water and the gaseous state in the atmo sphere. Especially with increasing population and industrialization, gas transfer at water surfaces has become a critical factor in the understanding of the various pathways of wastes in the environment and of their engineering management. This interfacial mass transfer is, by its very nature, highly complex. The air and the water are usually in turbulent motion, and the interface be tween them is irregular, and disturbed by waves, sometimes accompanied by breaking, spray and bubble formation. Thus the transfer involves a wide variety of physical phenomena occurring over a wide range of scales. As a consequence, scientists and engineers from diverse disciplines and problem areas, have approached the problem, often with greatly differing analytical and experimental techniques and methodologies.

Book A Novel Pressure Sensor Calibration System Based on a Neural Network Project Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China No 61275081

Download or read book A Novel Pressure Sensor Calibration System Based on a Neural Network Project Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China No 61275081 written by and published by . This book was released on 2015 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Abstract: According to the specific input–output characteristics of a pressure sensor, a novel calibration algorithm is presented and a calibration system is developed to correct the nonlinear error caused by temperature. In contrast to the routine BP and RBF, curve fitting based on RBF is first used to get the slope and intercept, and then the voltage–pressure curve is described. Test results show that the algorithm features fast convergence speed, strong robustness and minimum SSE (sum of squares for error). It is proven by practical applications that this calibration system works well and the measurement precision is better than the design demands. Furthermore, this calibration system has a good real-time capability.

Book Uncertainty Analysis of Inertial Model Attitude Sensor Calibration and Application with a Recommended New Calibration Method

Download or read book Uncertainty Analysis of Inertial Model Attitude Sensor Calibration and Application with a Recommended New Calibration Method written by John S. Tripp and published by . This book was released on 1999 with total page 134 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Statistical tools, previously developed for nonlinear least-squares estimation of multivariate sensor calibration parameters and the associated calibration uncertainty analysis, have been applied to single- and multiple-axis inertial model attitude sensors used in wind tunnel testing to measure angle of attack and roll angle. The analysis provides confidence and prediction intervals of calibrated sensor measurement uncertainty as functions of applied input pitch and roll angles. A comparative performance study of various experimental designs for inertial sensor calibration is presented along with corroborating experimental data. The importance of replicated calibrations over extended time periods has been emphasized; replication provides independent estimates of calibration precision and bias uncertainties, statistical tests for calibrations or modeling bias uncertainty, and statistical tests for sensor paremeter drift over time. A set of recommendations for a new standardized model attitude sensor calibration method and usage procedures is included. The statistical information provided by these procedures is necessary for the uncertainty analysis of aerospace test results now required by industrial users of wind tunnel test facilities.
