Meditating in the word is effective because when we go about living our every day life and circumstances arise, its that word that we speak that will change the situation. But if we don't know the word, the situation can't change. As Christians we should be meditating on the word, confessing the word, applying the word, and praising the Lord (with a sound mind) for manifestation of his word in our lives.
