This book was released on 2012-07-16 with total page 38 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Since early cavemen sat around campfires on starlit nights, they've wondered where were the stars and the moon that lit the sky at night and why does this hot sun spread warmth and light? These are questions we've been motivated to answer throughout every civilization on Earth. Were the answers lost in time or were the reasons written in the stars for all of time? Searching for enlightenment, I've always believed there was something very meaningful I was meant to achieve; the truth. While writing Recycling Universe, sometimes I felt like I was filling in words that fate had already written. Recycling Universe is destined to be a prevailing star theory. Standing by the laws of physics, this marvelous star theory justifies the reality of eternal creation. Recycling Universe is a universal and most magnificent manifesto meant for all of mankind and for the rest of his time."

Book excerpt: This is something about self-expression--something they don't teach in school. Something that's very hard to learn on your own. This is something about putting yourself first because it's okay to love yourself before anyone else. This is something about doing what's best for you, no matter what people say, because only you know what you deserve. This is something about being real, being real to who you are and accepting things as they come and change. This is something about your mistakes, about your flaws, and about how beautiful it is to get up and try again. This is something about being you, about using your voice when you're afraid. About building enough courage when you feel like standing up to something you don't believe in, something that's wrong. This is about you, and every day should be about you, and that's something you should always consider.

Book Neutron Stars Theory and Observation

Download or read book Neutron Stars Theory and Observation written by J.E Ventura and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 590 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Some twenty-three years after the discovery of pulsars and their identification as rotating neutron stars, neutron star physics may be regarded as comingofage. Pul sars and accreting neutron stars have now been studied at every wavelength, from the initial radio observations, through optical, X-, and "{-ray, up to the very recent observations in the TeV region, while theorists have studied in some detail relevant physical processes both outside and inside neutron stars. As a result, comparisonof theory with observation provides a test ofour theoretical ideas in fields as diverse as neutron and nuclear matter, superfluidity and superconductivity, the acceleration of high energy particles, and the generation and maintenance of intense magnetic fields. For example, through observations of glitches and post glitch behavior of pulsars, it has become possible to establish the presence ofsuperfluid neutron mat ter in the inner crust of neutron stars, and to determine some of its properties, while neutron stars in compact binary systems offer one ofthe most efficient energy generation mechanisms known. It is in fact the interactive interpretation of these ,diverse pieces of information that can lead to major advances in our understanding of the physics of these exotic objects, and justifies the characterization of neutron stars as hadron physics laboratories.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book gives an extended review of theoretical and observational aspects of neutron star physics. With masses comparable to that of the Sun and radii of about ten kilometres, neutron stars are the densest stars in the Universe. This book describes all layers of neutron stars, from the surface to the core, with the emphasis on their structure and equation of state. Theories of dense matter are reviewed, and used to construct neutron star models. Hypothetical strange quark stars and possible exotic phases in neutron star cores are also discussed. Also covered are the effects of strong magnetic fields in neutron star envelopes.

Book The Story of the Earth

Download or read book The Story of the Earth written by Peter John Cattermole and published by CUP Archive. This book was released on 1985-03-28 with total page 232 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Story of the Earth presents the complex history of the Earth from its formation through to the emergence of man and his influence on the planet. Peter Cattermole and Patrick Moore trace the evolution of Earth from its beginnings in the primeval Solar Nebula, through its bombardment by cosmic particles, continental drifting and the formation of mountains and oceans, and end with a study of the last Ice Age and the rise of man. While the approach is roughly chronological, time is spent in explaining some of the methods that geologists, physicists, chemists and biologists use to discover what processes have contributed to the internal make-up and external appearance of our unique planet. Accounts are included of the dramatic events that are still changing the face of the Earth: volcanoes and photographs - several taken from orbiting satelites - help to elucidate the story.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monograph contains the results of our joint research over the last ten years on the logic of the fixed point operation. The intended au dience consists of graduate students and research scientists interested in mathematical treatments of semantics. We assume the reader has a good mathematical background, although we provide some prelimi nary facts in Chapter 1. Written both for graduate students and research scientists in theoret ical computer science and mathematics, the book provides a detailed investigation of the properties of the fixed point or iteration operation. Iteration plays a fundamental role in the theory of computation: for example, in the theory of automata, in formal language theory, in the study of formal power series, in the semantics of flowchart algorithms and programming languages, and in circular data type definitions. It is shown that in all structures that have been used as semantical models, the equational properties of the fixed point operation are cap tured by the axioms describing iteration theories. These structures include ordered algebras, partial functions, relations, finitary and in finitary regular languages, trees, synchronization trees, 2-categories, and others.

Book Blackstar Theory

  • Author : Leah Kardos

Download or read book Blackstar Theory written by Leah Kardos and published by Bloomsbury Publishing USA. This book was released on 2021-12-16 with total page 265 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Blackstar Theory takes a close look at David Bowie's ambitious last works: his surprise 'comeback' project The Next Day (2013), the off-Broadway musical Lazarus (2015) and the album that preceded the artist's death in 2016 by two days, Blackstar. The book explores the swirl of themes that orbit and entangle these projects from a starting point in musical analysis and features new interviews with key collaborators from the period: producer Tony Visconti, graphic designer Jonathan Barnbrook, musical director Henry Hey, saxophonist Donny McCaslin and assistant sound engineer Erin Tonkon. These works tackle the biggest of ideas: identity, creativity, chaos, transience and immortality. They enact a process of individuation for the Bowie meta-persona and invite us to consider what happens when a star dies. In our universe, dying stars do not disappear - they transform into new stellar objects, remnants and gravitational forces. The radical potential of the Blackstar is demonstrated in the rock star supernova that creates a singularity resulting in cultural iconicity. It is how a man approaching his own death can create art that illuminates the immortal potential of all matter in the known universe.
