At the more complex levels, workers frequently read blueprints, follow patterns, use a variety of handtools, and assume responsibility for meeting standards. Workers of the less complex levels are required to follow standardized procedures.

Provide uniformity in labor performance standards development by standardizing the application of various work measurement techniques. e. Facilitate communication by providing common terminology and definitions.
