Book excerpt: Volume 1 of Stalking the Antichrists and Their False Nuclear Prophets, Nuclear Gladiators, and Spirit Warriors,1940-1965 is essentially an enhanced memoir. It is based for the most part on my personal observations and knowledge and specialized information from my academic studies of history, political science, and literature at Grove City College and the University of Chicago,as well as my professional insights into the heart of the U. S. Navy (1953-1957, 1960-1961[OP- 09D]) as an Air Intelligence Officer in Hawaii and Japan and the Pentagon; political- military/counsellor assignments in the State Department as a Foreign Service Officer(FSO-6) at the American embassy in Paris (1962-64); and a speechwriter in the Navy Department (1965). In volume 2, the textual narrative begins with the end of my specific actions/ activities in the Navy and Foreign Service in July 1965, which I have called How I Lived in History, 1950-1965. In retrospect my entire Navy careerfrom my commissioning as Ensign USNR, 1355 AIO, in early September 1953 at Naval Station, Newport, Rhode Island, to my first honorable discharge at Treasure Island on August 27, 1957was in preparation to an understanding of World War II and the Cold War.

This book was released on 2007-10-31 with total page 744 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Eschatology is the study of the last things: death, judgment, the afterlife, and the end of the world. Through centuries of Christian thoughtfrom the early Church fathers through the Middle Ages and the Reformationthese issues were of the utmost importance. In other religions, too, eschatological concerns were central. After the Enlightenment, though, many religious thinkers began to downplay the importance of eschatology which, in light of rationalism, came to be seen as something of an embarrassment. The twentieth century, however, saw the rise of phenomena that placed eschatology back at the forefront of religious thought. From the rapid expansion of fundamentalist forms of Christianity, with their focus on the end times; to the proliferation of apocalyptic new religious movements; to the recent (and very public) debates about suicide, martyrdom, and paradise in Islam, interest in eschatology is once again on the rise. In addition to its popular resurgence, in recent years some of the worlds most important theologians have returned eschatology to its former position of prominence. The Oxford Handbook of Eschatology will provide an important critical survey of this diverse body of thought and practice from a variety of perspectives: biblical, historical, theological, philosophical, and cultural. This volume will be the primary resource for students, scholars, and others interested in questions of our ultimate existence.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “True it is that all who deny the Father and the Son are antichrists. It is also true that there are many antichrists abroad today; and that ‘the man of sin’ of the tribulation period will be known as ‘the Antichrist.’ But seeing that Satan is at the back of all anti-Christian forces, and the instigator of all open hatred to God and to His Christ, he can be fitly termed—Satan, the Antichrist.” —Herbert Lockyer We live in a time when people have cast off restraint. Behaviors and beliefs that would have shocked previous generations are now accepted as commonplace. As believers, we know who is responsible for the rotten state of the world: Satan. In these perilous times, it is imperative for the saints of God to fully recognize the strategy and devices of the enemy. A complete understanding of Satan and his plans will force us to look upon these tangled times with knowing eyes. In Satan the Antichrist, best-selling Bible teacher Herbert Lockyer traces the diabolical plan of Satan through both the Old and New Testaments, and forward through the ages, including the church period and during and after the tribulation. He reveals the spiritual weapons at our disposal, that we might remain resistant and vigilant in our faith by using both the Word of God and the blood of Christ in the promised vanquishing of this evil antichrist.

Book The Man of Sin

Book excerpt: The doctrine of the Antichrist is one of the most interesting doctrines found in Scripture, says author Kim Riddlebarger. Unfortunately, it's also one which has been subject to far more speculation than sound biblical exegesis. Until now. Unlike other resources available on the Antichrist, The Man of Sin focuses on Scripture, not contemporary events, to uncover the truth about this mysterious entity. With skilled exegesis Riddlebarger asserts that, contrary to popular speculation, the Antichrist is not a singular individual but a series of beings that will arise to challenge Christ throughout the inter-advental age before culminating in an end-times Antichrist. Backing this claim first in Scripture, Riddlebarger also draws from historical teachings including those of the church fathers, the Reformation, and historic Protestantism, before contrasting this evidence to the sensational interpretations of many contemporary writers. Pastors, teachers, and study groups wanting to understand the doctrine of the Antichrist will find The Man of Sin to be a unique and comprehensive study.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Brenda—a young, active, and attractive housewife living in a very high-class town—was ordered by her lawyer husband to not return to her very successful teaching and tennis-coaching jobs at the local high school. He was a control freak who was brought up to believe that men are always the total bosses. Brenda decided to take a job behind her husband’s back, offered by her very trustworthy and friendly high school headmaster. The job was having harmless lunch with traveling salespeople in a local hotel (no monkey business). Her first job was to meet with a successful and very religious traveling salesman who immediately became a true friend. While one of the most important job rules was to never accept an invite into a client’s room, she trusted her first client so much that she did visit that man’s room. They shared a harmless drink, harmlessly chatted, and then she left. The next morning, he was found murdered. Brenda was arrested, tried, and convicted (with no help from her husband) and was sentenced to life in prison. Hey, that’s just the first few chapters. Several close friends, including the high school principal and an eighty-year-old retired private detective, work hard to prove her innocence. Good luck.

Book Looking Into Providences

Download or read book Looking Into Providences written by Raymond Waddington and published by University of Toronto Press. This book was released on 2012-10-19 with total page 329 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is the role of providence in Paradise Lost? In Looking into Providences, Raymond B. Waddington provides the first examination of this engaging subject. He explores the variety of implicit organizational structures or ‘designs’ that govern Paradise Lost, and looks in-depth at the ‘trials,’ or testing situations, which require interpretation, choice, and action from its characters. Waddington situates the poem within the context of providentialism’s centrality to seventeenth-century thought and life, arguing that Milton’s own conception of providence was deeply influenced by the theology of Jacob Arminius. Using Milton’s Arminian conception of free will, he then looks at the providential trials experienced by angels and humans. Finally, the work explores the ways in which providentialism infiltrates various kinds of discourse, ranging from military to medical, and from political to philosophical.

Book excerpt: The third Antichrist is here, just as Nostradamus predicted—and Adam Sabir is the only man who can prevent hell from reigning on earth, in the final Nostradamus installment Five centuries ago, Nostradamus wrote of three Antichrists. Two, Napoleon and Hitler, have already bathed the world in blood—but it is the third who will bring the Apocalypse. And his time has come. In the mountains of Moldova, a ruthless tyrant is hailed as the Second Coming of Christ. In the gypsy camps of Romania, a woman's unborn child could change the course of the world. In a polluted sinkhole in Mexico, four siblings pledge themselves to vengeance. Only scholar Adam Sabir, guardian of the lost prophecies of Nostradamus, knows what will happen when these destinies collide. He alone has decoded the identity of the Third Antichrist. He alone knows the one who can prevent this tyrant's rise. The fate of the world is in his hands. The countdown to Armageddon has begun.

Book Islam The Cloak of Antichrist

  • Author : Jack Smith
  • Publisher : WinePress Publishing
  • Release : 2012-03-01
  • ISBN : 9781414119281
  • Pages : 396 pages

Download or read book Islam The Cloak of Antichrist written by Jack Smith and published by WinePress Publishing. This book was released on 2012-03-01 with total page 396 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Bible prophecy is like a giant jigsaw puzzle- except there is no picture on the box." Jack Smith introduces the reader to his unique method of deciphering biblical prophecy in his book Islam, the Cloak of Antichrist. He sees prophecy as a very large, intricate puzzle. Each piece of that puzzle is a passage or verse of prophetic Scripture that is correctly interpreted. That piece must also fit in with the pieces around it. Every piece that is added acts as a foundation for the next piece. Mr. Smith teaches the reader this method of deep Bible study throughout his book, while also answering tough questions, including: Who is the Antichrist? What is the truth behind the Muslim religion and the Qur'an? What is Israel's importance in the last days? Some of the special features of this book include: A table at the end of each chapter that summarizes the significant points. A glossary to help the reader understand confusing "end-times" terms. Extensive historical and factual notes. A color insert with images of the Dome of the Rock. According to Jack Smith, "holy war" against Jews and Christians is a common thread woven throughout Bible prophecies of the last days. This holy war will encompass the entire earth, including a wearing down of Christianity, a trampling of Jerusalem, and Islam's eventual dominion over the entire world, including the White House. Smith interprets Shi'ah Islam of Iran to be a leading force in this holy war.
