Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Written by an experienced attorney who frequently speaks on various family law topics, Prenuptial Agreements Line by Line is a comprehensive examination of the crucial components included in a sample prenuptial agreement for the family law practitioner, general practice attorney, paralegal, mediator, or law student. This book explains the reasoning behind different clauses in a prenuptial agreement, including those that address the division of marital and separate assets, consideration, spousal support, attorneys fees and costs, alternative dispute resolution, and confidentiality to help meet the specific needs of each client. The sample agreement contained in this book outlines a variety of options and alternatives in drafting a prenuptial agreement, including some ways spousal support can be addressed, how property and debt division might be tackled, as well as potential confidentiality issues and potential agreements on alternative dispute resolution. While this agreement is not designed to include every possible provision, it acts as a useful starting point for the drafting of an enforceable contract. Prenuptial Agreements Line by Line is a valuable resource for anyone who has ever helped draft or negotiate a prenuptial agreement.

Download or read book Illinois Census Returns 1810 and 1818 written by Margaret Cross Norton and published by Genealogical Publishing Com. This book was released on 1969 with total page 372 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The 1810 census of the Illinois Territory does not exist in its entirety, but what has survived is given here in full. It lists 1,310 heads of families, and, by age groups, the number of free white males and females in each household as well as the number of other free inhabitants and slaves owned. The total represented is over 7,000 persons. The 1818 census, which is arranged by counties, makes up the bulk of this work. It lists over 4,000 heads of families and, for each household, shows the number of free white males over twenty-one, all other white inhabitants, free persons of color, and servants or slaves. This represents an estimated 20,000 persons. In addition, there are notations indicating which heads of households can be found in the federal and state censuses of Illinois for 1820.

Download or read book Prehistoric Life on the Mississippi Floodplain written by Richard W. Yerkes and published by University of Chicago Press. This book was released on 1987 with total page 303 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: At the confluence of the Illinois, the Missouri, and the Mississippi Rivers lies the "American Bottom," a broad floodplain that prehistoric peoples inhabited for millennia. Precisely how did they live? What were their ties to the natural world around them? In this study, based upon some six years of intensive archeological and geological research at Labras Lake in St. Clair County, Illinois, Richard W. Yerkes interprets a wealth of important new data in a stimulating and original fashion. With a fine-tuned control of the data, Yerkes challenges prevailing theories based on simple classifications of stone tools according to shape or on simple models of diffuse and focal economies. He views environment as a dynamic factor in economic and cultural life, rather than as merely a backdrop to it. Using incident light microscopy, he examines wear patterns on stone tools to determine what activities were performed during each period the site was inhabited—the Late Archaic, the Late Woodland, and the Mississippian. As he documents environmental change at Labras Lake, he analyzes plant and animal remains in context to explore diet and seasonal patterns of subsistence and settlement. The result is a more accurate and detailed picture than ever before what prehistoric life on the Mississippi floodplain was like. Yerkes shows how to assess the duration and size of occupations and how to determine where and when true permanent settlements arose. What others call "sedentary encampments" he reveals as sequences of small residental occupations for a narrow range of activities during shorter, seasonal periods. His contribution to the study of the development of sedentism is potentially far-reaching and will interest many North American anthropologists and archeologists.
