Book Building the Sri Rama Temple in Ayodhya

Download or read book Building the Sri Rama Temple in Ayodhya written by Subramanian Swamy and published by . This book was released on 2015 with total page 115 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: True and devout Hindus believe that Bhagvan Sri Rama was born in Ayodhya, the then capital of a flourishing kingdom of the Suryavansa dynasty. Rama is venerated as Maryada Purushottam, and worshipped by Hindus everywhere. Sri Rama was the first truly national king of India, above regional, varna, or jati adherence. At his birth spot in Ayodhya, there stood a temple, but it was demolished by invading Islamic marauders and a mosque was constructed on the same spot that came to be known as "Babri Masjid." In Chapter X of the Report of the Archeological Survey of India, NW and Oudh (1889), it is mentioned that Babri Mosque "was built in A.D. 1528 by Mir Khan on the very spot where the old temple of Janmasthan of Ram Chandra was standing." It is now well established by GPRS- directed excavations done under the Allahabad High Court monitoring and verification in 2002-03, that a large temple did exist below where that Babri Masjid structure once stood. Inscriptions found during excavations describe it as a temple of Vishnu Hari who had killed the demon king Dasanan [Ravana]. This book, therefore, explores how, through legal measures and by consensus building amongst the vast majority of the Indian people, the Rama Temple can be re-built on the original spot where it had stood nearly half a millennium ago.

Download or read book Rama Gita written by Shraddhesh Chaturvedi and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2020-01-02 with total page 78 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Rama Gita is the quintessential book of non-dualism. In it, Lord Rama tells his younger brother Lakshmana about the nature of reality and ignorance. Using references from the Upanishads, he proves that knowledge alone is the means of liberation. Moreover, actions cannot lead us to an eternal life. As knowledge and action are opposite to each other like light and darkness, there is no question of their association either. One might now ask, "Which type of knowledge can give us liberation?" To this, he says, "By understanding the identity between soul and super-soul, one can experience the eternal freedom." He explains the real nature of soul by discarding the external shells which are not part of it but we associate them with it due to our ignorance. Just as one peels off the layers of onion one by one, he removes the layers of errors in our judgement about our real nature. Then, he equates this purest form of soul with the super-soul.He further discusses the nature of reality and ignorance to make us aware of what we need to lose, why it is required to discard and what will be the gain. After that, he answers how we can know his reality, which is ever present in us, through perseverance, focus and faith.

These precious articles are brought out now, under the title “Geeta Vahini”, in this book, for the benefit of readers. This is not a commentary or summary of the divine message that was given by Lord Krishna to Arjuna. It conveys the same message in a simpler form to us, in order to remove our delusion and confer faith and strength on us, so that we may realise our own reality. Bhagawan says, “Drawing on the Divine that is inherent in us is the lesson of Geeta… Arjuna is the jiva and Krishna is the Deva. When both are in contact, impregnable might results… Krishna had to work in and through Arjuna, so that the reign of Dharma (righteousness) is re-established. Arjuna means white, pure, unblemished. Hence, he is the proper instrument.” We too can become proper instruments in restoring Dharma, if we follow the lessons that Bhagawan teaches through this book.
