Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If we have Śrī Kṛṣṇa we have everything and we do not need anyone or anything else (Śrī Caitanya Bhagavat). How do we get Śrī Kṛṣṇa? We can only get Him, Vrajendra-nandana Śyāmasundara, by loving devotional service to Śrīmatī Rādhika - Śrī Rādhā-dāsyam.Therefore we pray to Śrī Kṛṣṇa to get Radha-dāsyamśyāmasundara śikhaṇḍa śekharasmera-hāsa muralī-manohararādhkā-rasika māṁ kṛpā-nidhesva-priyā-caraṇa-kiṅkarīṁ kuruO Śyāmasundara, O beautiful dark-blue boy with a peacock-feather crown. Your playful smile and Your flute completely bewilder our minds. You are expert at tasting the nectar of Śrīmatī Rādhikā''s love, and You are an ocean of mercy. Please make me a manjari maidservant of Your beloved. (Śrī Rādhā-prārthanā, Śrī Viṭṭhalācārya) And we pray to Śrī Rādhā,tavaivāsmi tavaivāsmi na jīvāmi tvayā vināiti vijñāya devī tvaṁ naya māṁ caraṇāntike"Ha Devī Śrī Rādhike! I am yours! I am yours! I have no life without You. Knowing this, please give me shelter at Your lotus feet." (Śrī Vilāpa-kusumāñjali 96, Śrīla Raghunātha dāsa Gosvāmī)Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī prays, "O Prince of the cow herders (Kṛṣṇa)! I offer my obeisances unto You and I pitifully pray to You: "Please make me the object of mercy of the crown garland of the young girls of Vraja (Śrī Rādhikā)!" (Śrī Utkalikā-vallarī, 19)We pray to Śrī Kṛṣṇa: "Please make me the object of Śrī Rādhā''s grace" and to Śrī Rādhā we pray: "May Kṛṣṇa give me mercy, knowing me to be Your maidservant!" Śrīman Mahāprabhu''s gift is revealed through the ācāryas. This Rādhā-dāsyam is an unprecedented gift of mercy. The conditioned souls are drowning in the ocean of material existence, but by some stroke of good luck some of them receive the mercy of guru and Kṛṣṇa in the form of the seed of the vine of devotion. saṁsāre bhramite kon bhāgyavān jīva; guru-Kṛṣṇa prasāde pāy bhakti latā bīja (Cc). By taking shelter of the lotus feet of Śrī Guru a fortunate person can attain purification of the self. Gurudeva is bringing the remembrance of a long forgotten thing back into the heart. When fortunate sādhakas take shelter of Śrī Guru''s lotus feet in the Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava Sampradāya they become acquainted with the service of Śrī Rādhā. After establishing the self-identification as Rādhā''s dāsī, they continue their bhajana according to the love of rādhā snehādhikā (greater love for Rādhā than for Kṛṣṇa). How enchanting it is to think of oneself: "I am Rādhā''s fallen maidservant!" My bhajana is disturbed by bodily consciousness; my life is contaminated by all kinds of external behaviour! Nonetheless, I firmly consider myself Swamini Radhika''s maidservant. The ultimate goal of all the Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇavas'' sādhanā is to attain the confidential nikuñja-sevā of Śrī-Śrī Rādhā-Mādhava. Although our ācāryas are eternal maidservants in the Vraja-nikuñjas, they have descended along with Śrīman Mahāprabhu to teach the world how to perform śrī rāgānuga-bhajana. By giving a perfect example they have made the practising devotees in this world greedy after the nikuñja-rasa and are thus taking them along to the transcendental groves of Vraja. Without this, the advent of Śrīman Mahāprabhu could not have reached perfection, because the mañjarī-service of Śrī Rādhā is Śrīman Mahāprabhu''s ultimate and unprecedented merciful gift.(Adapted from the commentaries of Srila Ananta das Babaji Maharaja)It is our great pleasure and privilege to present this unprecedented harikatha about Radha-dasyam by Prabhupada Srila Premgopal Goswami. We hope that by making such nectar available to a wider readership among devotees we may invoke the blessings of Sri Guru. We apologize for any mistakes and shortcomings in this presentation. Our humble prayer is that it may invoke transcendental greed in the hearts of our readers to delve into the nectar ocean of Radha-dasyam and cultivate the precious mood of Srimati Radhika''s maidservants. The Editor

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The topics of manjari bhava and Radha dasyam discussed in this book are very esoteric, confidential and rasik. It is not meant for the general readership of the bhakti literature. The readers should look into their own hearts and if they do not feel spontaneous attraction to such topics - this book is not for them. For those who do find it inspiring for their bhajan, we hope you relish the nectar therein.Through the following discourses about raganuga bhakti, given by Prabhupada Srila Premgopal Goswami (in Sri Radha Kunda, October 2014) we can become acquainted with these exalted spiritual topics and relish the special sweetness of our soul connection with the Divine Couple. We pray that by the blessings of Sri Gurudeva and the Vaisnava sadhus we may get a glimpse into our pure spiritual nature as loving maidservants of our Swamini Srimati Radhika and become eligible to serve the Divine Couple in the kunjas of Vraja, the land of pure love.

Within this extraordinary memoir, Radhanath Swami weaves a colorful tapestry of adventure, mysticism, and love. Readers follow Richard Slavin from the suburbs of Chicago to the caves of the Himalayas as he transforms from young seeker to renowned spiritual guide. The Journey Home is an intimate account of the steps to self-awareness and also a penetrating glimpse into the heart of mystic traditions and the challenges that all souls must face on the road to inner harmony and a union with the Divine. Through near-death encounters, apprenticeships with advanced yogis, and years of travel along the pilgrim’s path, Radhanath Swami eventually reaches the inner sanctum of India’s mystic culture and finds the love he has been seeking. It is a tale told with rare candor, immersing the reader in a journey that is at once engaging, humorous, and heartwarming. Praise for The Journey Home “Here is an inspiring chapter of “our story” of spiritual pilgrimage to the East. It shows the inner journey of awakening in a fascinating and spellbinding way.” —Ram Dass, author, Be Here Now “He tells his story with remarkable honest—the temptations of the 1970s, his doubts, hopes, and disappointments, the culture shock, and the friendships found and lost . . . Add a zest of danger, suspense, and surprise, and Radhanath Swami’s story is a deep, genuine memoir that reads like a novel.” —Brigitte Sion, assistant professor of Religious Studies, New York University

Download or read book Dana Keli Kaumudi English written by Srila Rupa Goswami and published by Golden Age Media . This book was released on 2021-01-01 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This (Dana Keli Kaumudi) is a divine play/drama, written by Srila Rupa Goswami, with commentaries of Srila Visvanath Cakravarti Thakur. In the Caitanya-caritamrta (Antya 4.226) there is a verse that describes the writings of Sril Rupa Gosvami: Srila Rupa Gosvami compiled 100,000 verses, beginning with the book Dana-Keli-Kaumudi. In all these scriptures, he elaborately explained the transcendental mellows of the activities of Vrndavna. This one-act drama describes the very celebrated pastime of Krsna’s efforts to extract a toll from Radha and her companions as they carried butter for the performance of a sacrifice being performed in the forest of Vrndavana. Of course, it cannot be emphasized enough that such pastimes are only to be relished by devotees who have thoroughly understood Lord Krsna’s position as the Supreme Personality of Godhead by carefully studying the first nine cantos of the Srimad-Bhagavatam.”

This book was released on with total page 1284 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sri Chaitanya-charitamrta is the main work on the life and teachings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the incarnation of Krishna who appeared in India five hundred years ago. Lord Chaitanya introduced the chanting of the holy names of God as the prescribed method of God-realization for our time. He began what is today called the Hare Krishna movement, since the movement's founder, Srila Prabhupada, comes in the Chaitanya line of spiritual masters. Lord Chaitanya transformed the face of India in four respects: philosophically, by encountering, defeating and converting the greatest philosophers and thinkers of His day; religiously, by organizing the largest, most widespread theistic movement in India's history; socially, by His strong challenges to the religious inequities of the caste system; politically, by His organization of a massive civil disobedience movement in Bengal, more than four centuries before Gandhi. This English translation with commentary, by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, reveals his consummate Bengali and Sanskrit scholarship, his intimate familiarity with the precepts of Sri Chaitanya, and his pure devotion to God.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The imperfect would not be so if it was not in need of help, and such guidance must come beyond itself. The perfect is not perfect if He cannot assert Himself or help the imperfect ones, and that must be of His own sweet will. So the guidance to spiritual perfection and to perfect love is by definition a function of the Perfect Being, the sweet Absolute Truth Śrī Krishna. And Krishna's divine agent through whom this function manifests is Śrī Guru, the spiritual guide. In the talks therein, Prabhupad Śrīla Premgopal Goswami of the Śrī Nityananda Vamśa - the line of Gurus descending directly from Lord Nityananda - gives beautifully compelling explanations of Guru tattva, the spiritual principle of Śrī Guru. Guru is not a person, Guru is a tattva, the embodiment of spiritual truth who links us to transcendental reality and guides us back home to the spiritual realm of pure love. Our prayer is that the faithful readers will find divine inspiration for their spiritual practice within the pages of this book.

This book was released on 2022-02-08 with total page 134 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The word dharma, originally from the Sanskrit, refers to the inherent, unchanging nature of something – sugar’s dharma is to be sweet, water’s dharma is to be wet, and fire’s dharma is to emit heat and light. Dharma also refers to our natural duty. We humans have ordinary dharma and an ultimate dharma that relates to who we are at soul level. That dharma requires that we ask existential questions and then seek ultimate answers – questions such as Who am I? Why am I here? and What is my ultimate purpose? Dharma, the Way of Transcendence is a compilation of lectures on human dharma given by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in 1972 as he toured India. Here he teaches that the dharma of all humans and every other living embodied soul – is service. No one can exist for a moment without serving someone or something else, even if it’s only the mind and senses. So the question is, whom or what can we serve if we want to be truest to ourselves?
