Book Ellen G White Co founder of the Seventh day Adventist Church

Download or read book Ellen G White Co founder of the Seventh day Adventist Church written by Roy E. Graham and published by Peter Lang Incorporated, International Academic Publishers. This book was released on 1985 with total page 526 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Seventh-day Adventism is inextricably linked with the life and ministry of Ellen G. White. This study examines her role in the church both in her lifetime and, since her death in 1915, through her voluminous writings. The passage of time and the general ecumenical climate of today make possible a more dispassionate study of White's work and insights, which hold value for the whole Christian Church, especially in the eschatological emphasis which lies at the center of her work.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are you perplexed by the direction the Seventh-day Adventist Church and its members are taking on principles that the church has upheld for years? Jonathan Mukwiri feels that many members of the remnant church are shifting their position on various topics in these last days to closely mirror worldviews and philosophies. Awakening the Remnant is a call to Seventh-day Adventists to return to the truth in such areas as dress, worship, diet, and obedience to the law as clearly stated in the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy. As the remnant church, Seventh-day Adventists have the knowledge, but its members must hold true to the Word of God if they are to stand until Jesus' Second Coming. Are you ready for Christ's soon return? Be prepared by studying the Bible and the inspired writings of Ellen G. White. This book quotes extensively from both in an effort to steer members of the remnant church back on the straight and narrow way of truth.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "The Seventh-day Adventist church faces a crisis. Confusion and division are rampant. Assurance of truth has surrendered to uncertainty. Surety of faith has given way to an enfeebling pluralism. Distinctiveness has been overcome by ecumenism. The sense of urgency has been replaced by carnal security. The spiritual church has become a social club. Unwavering loyalty is now branded as bigotry. Faithfulness to christ is judged to be legalism. The defenders of truth are spurned as schismatics. The state of the church has led untold thousands to reevaluate their relationship to the seventh-day Adventist church. Many have lost all hope that the church would ever suceed in bringing God's truth to every inhabitant of the world - something which must occur if God's people will ever enter the kingdom of heaven. This has instigated the greatest separtationist movement ever known in our ranks. Embattled Church addresses this issue of separation. Has God written "Ichabod" across the portals of the seventh-day Adventist church? Must we look for another? The word of inspiration answers these questions unequivocally." -- Back cover.

Book excerpt: Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets. Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee. —Proverbs 5:15–17 Solomon’s divine counsel to the bride of Christ often goes unheeded in these last days of Earth’s history. Pastors and church members alike dip into the wells of the world and drink from the tainted source of those strangers to truth. Pastors turn and face the sun of Babylon when they attend learn at the feet of professors at schools like George Fox University that teach eastern mysticism, spiritual formation, contemplative prayer, Ignatian spirituality, which are all components of the emerging church movement. The prophet Isaiah had this word of caution found in chapter 8, verse 20: “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” Even though the Holy Writ makes this stern warning, it seems that Seventh-day Adventist pastors are converging on centers of learning that train these wayward descendents of the seed of Abraham. Then their unsuspecting flocks, which they are to protectively shepherd, fall prey to the wolf in sheep’s clothing because they learn the same error that their shepherd gleaned at the university. One of these pastors went so far as to put this erroneous, Jesuit-endorsed teaching in print to disperse it to a broader audience. He notes beginning on the first page of the first chapter of his book The Green Cord Dream that “the Advent movement was born in failure rather than success, error rather than truth, darkness rather than light, and sorrow rather than joy” (pages 11, 12). In this context the author does not give credence to the prophecy of the Great Disappointment on October 22, 1844, found in Revelation 10:9, 10: “I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.” When God’s prophecy is fulfilled, how is that failure? In addition to the issue of The Green Cord Dream, author Rick Howard brings information to light in this book Meet It about The One Project movement. He answers questions like: What is it? Where did it come from? Who is responsible for its creation? On the surface it looks promising, but when delving under the superficial outer layers, the powers of darkness are found lurking. At an October 2011 meeting of The One Project group, eleven authors were noted as being “the most helpful.” Yet, they all promote and support the emerging church, spiritual formation interests. They all endorse and advance mysticism and spiritism, and all of them are leaders and teachers of these principles that are designed to win souls to Romanism. Rick Howard’s Meet It indeed probes the subtle nuances of this issue of the Omega apostasy where much is to be found. Herein he picks up where his first volume, The Omega Rebellion, stopped and offers details that opens the eyes and ears of the elect who do not want this deception to enter any of the parameters of their lives.

Book Laodicea Her Authority Organization and Destiny

Download or read book Laodicea Her Authority Organization and Destiny written by Vernon C. Sparks and published by Digital Inspiration. This book was released on 2013-01-26 with total page 383 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: —Protestant Reformation's Final Movement / God's End Time Church— In Revelation 3:14-21, God’s end time church is named Laodicea. In those verses, His remnant people are described as having the tendency to evaluate their spiritual condition, and work, at a much higher quality than is Christ’s judgment of it. He states that the Laodicean church, though entrusted with the knowledge of His last warning messages for the world are spiritually “wretched,” “miserable,” “poor,” “blind,” and “naked.” (verse 17). Matthew 25:1-13 is the parable of the ten virgins waiting to attend a wedding feast. In this account Jesus is also describing His remnant people. Christ’s story says that “while the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.” (verse 5). This present volume is a Bible and Spirit of Prophecy study regarding the form of, and reasons why, Christ brought His end time people into a highly organized movement. It also describes how Christ’s ordained methods of operating His organization tend to be abused, and even ignored. It explains how His people tend to operate Christ’s publishing, educational, health, and even ministerial work more in harmony with the wisdom and wishes of man and the world than with the clear directives of the Lord whom we claim to be serving. But, all is not gloom and doom. There is counsel as to how to revive from the Laodicean condition. This present volume goes into detail as to what Christ will do to awaken His people. It presents the inspired explanations as to how His remnant will be “shaken” into the condition necessary for Him to be able to pour out upon them the Latter Rain to empower and equip them to give the Loud Cry and thus finish His work upon this earth. Entire chapters are dedicated to the divine instructions regarding the importance of not running ahead of, but cooperating with, Christ in these important dealings with His people.
