Sophie has vowed to hate Martin forever after discovering him kissing their ghost-hunting partner the year before. So what if she and Martin had already discussed bringing Emilio into their relationship? But Martin convinces her to help a young couple who are being tormented by an aggressive spirit haunting their home. While the three former best friends work on solving the mystery of this haunting, they find out more than they’d bargained for—that the old Victorian home they’re investigating has quite a checkered past, and that there’s more to their feelings than they are willing to admit. After a final terrifying encounter with the naughty ghost, Sophie starts to wonder about Martin and Emilio’s real feelings for her. Will a spirit of love teach them that forgiveness can help pave the way to a true forever after? Note: Spirited Love is a standalone, second-chance romance with spice and a dose of k*nk. You can expect a spooky mystery and a sweet forever after between three besties who were meant to be together. Please note that swords cross in this MMF short novella, and that this re-edited and revised second edition was previously released under the title A Spirit of Love with a different author name and publisher. Please check your library to make sure you don’t already own this story.

Download or read book Spirit of the Horse written by William Shatner and published by Macmillan. This book was released on 2017-05-23 with total page 303 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From his first time riding as a child, William Shatner has felt a deep love for horses. Whether seated in the saddle, communicating with them, or simply appreciating their beauty, his bond with these majestic animals is deep. For decades he has sought to share his joy—with children, veterans, those with disabilities, and many more—through his annual Hollywood Charity Horse Show. And here, he brings that same joy to his fans and readers. In Spirit of the Horse, the Star Trek and Boston Legal legend speaks from the heart about the remarkable effect horses have had on his life and on the lives of others. From his first horse, bought impulsively on the advice of a twelve-year-old, to his favorite horses, acquired after many years of learning what to look for, this book draws from Shatner’s own experience and pairs it with a wealth of classic horse stories, including unique retellings of the Pegasus myth and the feats of the most famous war horses throughout history. The result is a celebration that captures the unparalleled connection between humans and horses—and the power, courage, mindfulness, and healing that they can inspire in us. Many fans have heard about Shatner’s passion for horses; few have seen it revealed as completely as it is here.
Download or read book Seductive Spirits written by Nathanael Homewood and published by Stanford University Press. This book was released on 2024-03-12 with total page 369 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Pentecostalism, Africa's fastest-growing form of Christianity, has long been preoccupied with the business of banishing demons from human bodies. Among Ghanaian Pentecostals, deliverance is primary among the embodied, experiential gifts—a loud, messy, and noisy experience that ends only when the possessed body falls to the ground silent and docile, the evil spirits rendered powerless in the face of the holy spirit-wielding-prophets. And nowhere is Ghanaian Pentecostal obsession with demons more pronounced than with sexual demons. In this book, Nathanael Homewood examines the frequent and varied experiences of spirit possession and sex with demons that constitute a vital part of Pentecostal deliverance ministries, offering insight into these practices assembled from long-term ethnographic engagement with four churches in Accra, the capital of Ghana. Relying on the uniqueness of the Pentecostal sensorium, this book unravels how spirits and sexuality intimately combine to expand the definition of the body beyond its fleshy boundaries. Demons are a knowledge regime, one that shapes how Pentecostals think about, engage with, and construct the cosmos. Deliverance Pentecostals reiterate and tarry with the demonic, especially sexually, as a realm of invention whereby alternative ways of being, sensing, and having sex are dreamed, practiced, and performed. Ultimately, Homewood argues for a distinction between colonial demonization and decolonial demons, charting another path to understanding being, the body, and sexualities.
