Accordingly, but few copies of the first printing had been issued before it was decided to change the title, and the greater portion of the first edition appeared with the present title, "Peggy at Spinster Farm." In the second printing the new title is adhered to, but it is deemed advisable to explain the somewhat unusual action of changing the title of a story after publication.
