Book excerpt: La microanalyse de solides présente un intérêt croissant pour l'étude de composés d'intérêt astrophysique (agrégats de carbone, glaces cométaires) ou atmosphérique (molécules piégées dans les glaces, aérosols). Ce travail a porté sur la conception et la réalisation d'un système de microanalyse de solides base sur le couplage de l'ablation laser (LA), de la photoionisation résonante (REMPI) et de la spectrométrie de masse à temps de vol (TOF). Le principe de fonctionnement du dispositif, ses principales caractéristiques et ses performances sont présentés. Compte tenu du caractère émergent de ces recherches dans le laboratoire, les techniques nécessaires à la microanalyse (REMPI, LA) ont du être validées séparément. La technique REMPI a été testée sur le radical CH3 produit dans une flamme de méthane stabilisée sur un brûleur. Plusieurs profils de concentration obtenus dans différentes conditions de flammes ont été réalisés. La comparaison avec les techniques habituellement utilisées (impact électronique, spectromètre quadripolaire) a permis de démontrer la meilleure sensibilité de la détection REMPI/TOF et de la valider comme méthode d'analyse d'espèces minoritaires. L'échantillonnage par la sous vide a été mis en place sur le spectromètre et testé dans différentes configurations. Si la détection des ions produits lors du processus d'ablation s'est montrée insuffisante, l'ionisation non résonante des espèces neutres éjectées durant l'ablation s'est avérée nettement plus performante grâce aux grandes sensibilité et résolution qu'elle offre. Les premiers résultats expérimentaux portant sur les agrégats de carbone sont décrits. L'ensemble des techniques développées au cours de ce travail sont maintenant opérationnelles ce qui rend possible leur association en vue de l'objectif initial : la microanalyse de solides. La récente acquisition d'un laser à colorant permettra d'étendre les études en cours à l'analyse de processus hétérogènes de surface (aérosols carbones, glaces).
