It requires only a minimum of goniophotometric near field measurements and no time-consuming angularly resolved spectral measurements. The obtained results can be used directly in state-of-the-art ray tracers. This work was published by Saint Philip Street Press pursuant to a Creative Commons license permitting commercial use. The topic of LED luminaires is discussed in a separate chapter, including retrofit LED lamps, LED-based road and street luminaires and LED luminaires for museum and school lighting. The whole is rounded off by a summary and a look towards future developments.
