Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: On the second aspect of strategic opinion, space tourism leisure companies need to let planning travelers feel that anyone of space tourism leisure is very different to general tourism leisure. In general, tourism leisure is visiting at least one night for leisure and holiday, business or other tourism purposes in Earth only. Otherwise, space tourism leisure is other kind of an unique trip leisure or entertainment method, e.g. the space traveler can catch the spacecraft to visit any planets to stay to live at the planet's space hotel at least one night, e.g. Future potential populated Moon or Mars space hotel space trip. Moreover, the space travel companies ought give chance to let them to feel what weightless feeling is in weightlessness environment when they are walking on Moon or other planets in possible. Even, they can attempt to build these entertainment facilities, instead of space hotels, such as space swimming pools, space gardens, space cinema etc. building facilities. It aims to let them to feel what the differences between Earth and space life when they are walking on the Moon, when they are swimming on the space pools, when they are living in space hotels, when they are watching movies in space cinemas, when they are seeing flowers and different species of planets and fruits. e.g. oranges, apples, bananas, and vegetable and potatoes and tomatoes in space gardens. It is very exciting and fun space trip life experience between one days to seven days. So, they believe that they must not feel these space life experience if they do not choose to participate this time space trip planning journey by the space trip company preparation. Also, due to that the space tourism passengers need to the pre-flight checks and training before they ensure to qualify to permit to participate the space trip. So space travel companies need to concern how to take care their health check and training matter considerately. It aims to let every space traveler will feel a market segment with fitness and extreme experiences as well as he/she will become popular with a market segment passenger to the space tourism leisure company, although he/she must not guarantee to pass the space training and/or pre-flight health checks to permit to participate the space trip. However, he/she can believe that he/she is one worth space travelling passenger to the space tourism leisure company, even this time pre-flight health check or/and the short time space trip training requirements are failure. However, the space tourism leisure company must need to let all pre-flight health check and space trip training passengers to feel that it is only one space tourism which can give them and let customers view the space travel is as the ultimate showcase for health, even though a majority of the population can pass the pre-flight medical and other tests in order to raise their confidence and safety to catch the spacecraft to fly to space to travel when they are confirmed to pass these tests to permit to catch the spacecraft later. In general, the expectations of future space passengers include the following customer value elements, such as below:⦁Viewing space and the Earth.⦁Experiencing weightlessness and experiencing pre-flight astronaut training and related sensations.⦁Communicating from space to significant others.⦁Being able to discuss the adventure in an informed way.⦁Having astronaut-like documentation and memorabilia.⦁Enjoying one exciting and fun space trip. However, instead of considering these objectives need to be combined with, sometimes conflicting , constraints such as guaranteed safe, return , limited training time, reasonable comfort, and minimum medical restrictions. So, space tourism companies need to reduce every space traveler individual worries before they decide to make the time of space tourism journey.

Book excerpt: How space exploration delivers benefits. On space exploration how delivers benefits hand, space benefits can be categorized as either direct or indirect. The direct benefits of exploration include the generation of scientific knowledge, the diffusion of innovation and creation of markets, the inspiration of people around the world, and agreements forged between the countries engaged in exploration. The indirect benefits of exploration, it includes tangible enhancement to the quality of life, with as improved economic prosperity, health, environmental quality, safety and security.Possibilities for benefit creation, when the products of space exploration interact with the imagination and creativity present. Cultural benefits may depend on exploration mission stories and images spreading broadly across society. Education organizations can earn benefits to maximize societal impact, space agencies share space exploration results to cooperate with research institutions, businesses, universities, schools, museums to learn space science knowledge in societies. TO sum up, the direct benefits include humans are inspired, scientific knowledge is generated, innovation is transferred to applications, capacity and productivity of working in space are enhanced, markets for space products and services are created and international space exploration partnership strength as well as the indirect benefits include economic prosperity, health improvement , environmental benefit, safety and security , human experience is expanded, understanding of humankind's place in the universe is enhanced. On innovation and economic benefits hand, the challenge of space exploration needs to research how to innovate more reliable and efficient systems to prepare to carrying on experimenting space exploration missions. However, space exploration mission use the unique capabilities of humans , e.g. on the spot decision making, cognitive adaptability, versatility and robots , e.g. precision, sensory, accuracy, reliability and expandability to achieve ambitious exploration goals. Thus, maximize the productivity of these missions by demanding on effective partnership between humans and machines driving progress in human health care, robotics, automation. On creative more space technological jobs and soluble difficult space technology to human aspect, how to overcome the challenges of working, space has led to many technological and scientific advances that have provided benefits to society in earth in areas including health and medicine, transportation, public safety , consumer products, energy and environment, information technology and industrial productivity. For example, the technological benefits include improved solar panels, implantable heart monitors, light -based weight high temperature alloys used in jet engine turbines, cameras fond in today's mobile phones, compact water-purification systems, global search and rescue systems and biomedical technology etc. different kinds of space technological products. On space discoveries with benefits for life on earth hand, ongoing research in the space environment, in areas , such as human physiology, plant , biology, materials science and fundamental physics, insights that benefit society. For example, studies of the human body's response to extended periods in the microgravity environment in planetary evolution space environment. For another example, one of the lessons from Apollo moon exploration program is that having a visible space exploration program is important in encouraging young people to pursue science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields.

Book Societal Impact of Spaceflight

Download or read book Societal Impact of Spaceflight written by Steven J. Dick and published by U. S. National Aeronautics & Space Administration. This book was released on 2007 with total page 704 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the dawn of spaceflight, advocates of a robust space effort have argued that human activity beyond Earth makes a significant difference in everyday life. Assertions abound about the "impact" of spaceflight on society and its relationship to the larger contours of human existence. Fifty years after the Space Age began, it is time to examine the effects of spaceflight on society in a historically rigorous way. Has the Space Age indeed had a significant effect on society? If so, what are those influences? What do we mean by an "impact" on society? And what parts of society? Conversely, has society had any effect on spaceflight? What would be different had there been no Space Age? The purpose of this volume is to examine these and related questions through scholarly research, making use especially of the tools of the historian and the broader social sciences and humanities. Herein a stellar array of scholars does just that, and arrives at sometimes surprising conclusions.

Book The Political Economy of the Space Age

Download or read book The Political Economy of the Space Age written by Andrea Sommariva and published by Vernon Press. This book was released on 2018-05-15 with total page 258 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides answers to the questions of why human-kind should go into space, and on the relative roles of governments and markets in the evolution of the space economy. It adopts an interdisciplinary approach to answer those questions. Science and technology define the boundaries of what is possible. The realization of the possible depends on economic, institutional, and political factors. The book thus draws from many different academic areas such as physical science, astronomy, astronautics, political science, economics, sociology, cultural studies, and history. In the literature, the space economy has been analyzed using different approaches from science and technology to the effects of public expenditures on economic growth and to medium term effects on productivity and growth. This book brings all these aspects together following the evolutionary theory of economic change. It studies processes that transform the economy through the interactions among diverse economic agents, governments, and the extra-systemic environment in which governments operate. Its historical part helps to better understand motivations and constraints - technical, political, and economical - that shaped the growth of the space economy. In the medium term, global issues - such as population changes, critical or limited natural resources, and environmental damages – and technological innovations are the main drivers for the evolution of the space economy beyond Earth orbit. In universities, this book can be used: as a reference by historians of astronautics; for researchers in the field of astronautics, international political economy, and legal issues related to the space economy. In think tanks and public institutions, both national and international, this book provides an input to the ongoing debate on the collaboration among space agencies and the role of private companies in the development of the space economy. Finally, this book will help the educated general public to orient himself in the forest of stimuli, news, and solicitations to which he is daily subjected by the media, television and radio, and to react in less passive ways to those stimuli.

Book Space Exploration Possible Economic Benefits

Download or read book Space Exploration Possible Economic Benefits written by Johnny Ch LOK and published by . This book was released on 2019-08-31 with total page 94 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: On space science continue researching and development aspect: Why do space scientists need to continue space science research, if they hope to explore Mars more easily? Because we live in a society which depends on science and technology, those are very essentials seem undervalued perhaps because they are not understood. There are great concern in some quarter about the inadequacies and shortcomings in science funding, science education and the way space science in communicated to the public. For these questions example: Why do we need to choose Mars to live? How do we need explore Mars to live in success? What benefits and risks do we encounter in this Mars exploration process? So, space scientists have responsibilities to let pubic to know because they need people vote to support their Mars exploration mission. If people do not understand engine science , space science, medical science or whatever, then they are not equipped to vire knowledgeably on science issues. In space science, there are two main but not necessarily separate for spending, sometimes referred to collectively as research and development. Research is the acquisition of new knowledge. Development is the application of existing knowledge to new or improved user, such as exploration continue research of any new space exploration knowledge to Mars as well as they also need to learn how to apply existing Mars exploration knowledge to new or improved uses. However, there is no way of knowing where or when any kinds of new Mars exploration knowledge will find a practical application. But they need still continue to research and develop any possible new kinds of Mars exploration new technology. However, researching and development is impossible without approval and funding. It is safe to say. Then, that some of the most vital work done, such as Mars exploration by space scientists is in preparing their funding applications. Also, space science is a around field, with a vary limited number of resources for cutting edge research. An idea for research and there is a fair chance that someone has already thought or it is already working on other similar earth seven planets , or other undiscovered researching planets which choice has higher successful chance to implement human living another earth mission. So, choice of which one space exploration mission is the best, it needs space scientists compare their benefits and risks in order to make final space exploration decisions.

This book concerns I give opinions to judge whether human can get what economy or human life benefits or disadvantages to influence our society from any space resources exploration missions in possibility. Such as water, foods, energy, oil, gas, soil that human will either find or won't find in space in possibility. Thus, consequently, if human can find these any one of natural resource from space that it is worth to spend money and time and human resource to invest to these space exploration missions. Otherwise, consequently if human can not find these any one of natural resource from space that it is not worth to spend money and time and human resource to invest to these space exploration missions. Thus, the successful of space exploration possibility is not ensure. In my book, I shall also give opinions to concern how space exploration will influence humans need to be changed life style or attitude to adapt psychological and needs change to our daily life in our societies if any space exploration mission is successful. In this book, I shall attempt to give my opinions to attempt to focus to answer this central question: Can humans achieve space resource exploration aim? How do humans need to adapt to change their life style to satisfy psychological and psychological needs, during space resource exploration mission would achieve the success in the future one day ? What benefits or welfares and/or disadvantages can influence human life when space scientists are carrying on experimenting any space resource exploration mission? Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The possible undiscovered similar Mars planets numberHow many can our undiscovered planets which be similar to Mars to exist in space to supply natural resource, such as air, water, food, land, good weather or climate toallow human to live in possible? Nowadays, scientists discover possible existence of new planet the size of Mars in our solar system. Astronomers believe they have discovered a new planet in the solar system the size of Mars.Recent research paper claims there is a massive object lurking on the edge of our solar system that is likely to be a previously undiscovered world. It follows suggestions last year that another planet - nicknamed Planet 9 - appeared to be orbiting the sun from the outer regions of the solar system. Scientists discovered Planet 9 after noticing that something was exerting a gravitational force on objects in the Kuiper Belt - an area of comets, the dwarf planet Pluto and huge ice objects beyond Neptune that encircles the whole solar system. The unusual orbits of the objects could be explained by a planet with a mass 10 times that of Earth exerting a gravitational pull on them, researchers said Now a similar analysis has revealed the possibility of a second new planet, dubbed Planet 10.On a study to be published in the Astronomical Journal, Kat Volk and Renu Malhotra from the University of Arizona discovered that a number of Kuiper Belt objects (KBOs) are not orbiting in the way they would normally be expected to, suggesting something in the region is exerting a strong gravitational force on them. Imagine you have lots and lots of fast-spinning tops, and you give each one a slight nudge," Professor Malhotra said. "If you then take a snapshot of them, you will find that their spin axes will be at different orientations, but on average, they will be pointing to the local gravitational field of Earth." Scientists said the most probable explanation for the discrepancy was the existence of a planet, similar in size to Mars, to the edge of the solar system. The most likely explanation for our results is that there is some unseen mass," Dr Volk said. "According to our calculations, something as massive as Mars would be needed to cause the warp that we measured."

Book Space Exploration Brings Human What Benefits

Download or read book Space Exploration Brings Human What Benefits written by Johnny Ch LOK and published by . This book was released on 2020-04-29 with total page 134 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Future space exploration related benefits prediction⦁Future energy developmentpredictionFirstly, I shall discuss what is human future energy development prediction from space exploration mission. In the future, we will face energy shortage challenge if we can not control our behaviors to waste any energy, e.g. driving vehicle gas, cooking oil, etc. natural resource energy will have shortage to be supplied one day.Why will natural gas be one kind natural resource to be used by human? We need to know natural gas is as an energy source. On the one hand, natural gas can be extracted from coal, it can offer a number of benefits an energy source. Natural gas typically burns more efficiently than coal or oil and can emit less greenhouse gas at the points of extraction and combustion, natural gas has a role in supporting the journey towards lower or zero emission renewable energy sources. So, natural gas has these beneficial advantages to supply to us to use in the future. On the other hand, it has direct use for a range of purposes, such as heating and for powering fast-response, electricity, generation turbines. For example, Australia has abundant resource of natural gas. Gas can be piped to a liquefies natural gas (LNG) plant, where it can be processes into LNG for export. So, it seems that human future natural energy development will be coal seam gas developments are associated with a range of social, environmental and economic positive impacts are bought from natural gas energy.Hence, different countries have regulation of natural gas development. The regulation of natural gas operations in undertaken by relevant state and environmental authorities. These authorities establish regulatory frameworks based on the evaluation of potential environmental risks and hazards of proposed developments. These authorities are applying comprehensive science, it can give insights into the likely risks and impacts associated with individual natural gas operations.Predicting future natural gas energy how to impact human's environmental, economic, social development as below:In fact, predicting long-term impacts of natural gas production can be difficult, due to potential cumulative and region-specific impacts of multiple developments. However, I believe all these impacts will be positive and bring benefits to human development. Moreover, estimating social and economic and environmental impacts for a given time and place is challenging because of these variation such as below:(1)How to allocate nature of land use in surrounding area? Due to natural ( gas) energy exploration is needed to seek any lands which have possible to own any kinds of natural resource to manufacture natural gas. So, environment protection is needed when any lands are explored to manufacture natural gas to the amount, density and location of surface infrastructure are required to explore geology, hydrodynamics economics and logistics of producing and transportation that the natural gas products are required.(2)It will create transportation, industry job chance. Also, the range of management and monitoring practice how to operate natural gas companies. Hence, on one hand, natural gas product will bring environment pollution or natural land shortage challenges, but on the other hand, it will create any jobs (occupations) which are related to natural gas industry development. In the future, long term our societies will accept to use natural gas to replace other energy, when it is invented to be popular energy to be future used successfully. So, human needs to concern how to explore natural gas to avoid environment pollution cause to influence our drinking water to be polluted or air pollution or farming lands are polluted to grow any bad vegetables or fruits.

Book The Economics of Big Science

Download or read book The Economics of Big Science written by Hans Peter Beck and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2020-10-29 with total page 137 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The essays in this open access volume identify the key ingredients for success in capitalizing on public investments in scientific projects and the development of large-scale research infrastructures. Investment in science – whether in education and training or through public funding for developing new research tools and technologies – is a crucial priority. Authors from big research laboratories/organizations, funding agencies and academia discuss how investing in science can produce societal benefits as well as identifying future challenges for scientists and policy makers. The volume cites different ways to assess the socio-economic impact of Research Infrastructures and their role as hubs of global collaboration, creativity and innovation. It highlights the different benefits stemming from fundamental research at the local, national and global level, while also inviting us to rethink the notion of “benefit” in the 21st century. Public investment is required to maintain the pace of technological and scientific advancements over the next decades. Far from advocating a radical transformation and massive expansion in funding, the authors suggest ways for maintaining a strong foundation of science and research to ensure that we continue to benefit from the outputs. The volume draws inspiration from the first “Economics of Big Science” workshop, held in Brussels in 2019 with the aim of creating a new space for dialogue and interaction between representatives of Big Science organizations, policy makers and academia. It aspires to provide useful reading for policy makers, scientists and students of science, who are increasingly called upon to explain the value of fundamental research and adopt the language and logic of economics when engaging in policy discussions.
