Book Return of the Revolutionaries

Download or read book Return of the Revolutionaries written by Walter Semkiw and published by Hampton Roads Publishing. This book was released on 2003-04-01 with total page 434 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Two hundred and twenty-five years ago a political revolution took place in this country which swept power from the English monarchy and gave it to the people of the New World. Today, a spiritual revolution is underway in which spiritual power and responsibility are passing from institution to individuals. You'll be shocked to learn that the same people are at the heart of both world-changing movements. John Adams, Thomas Paine, Samuel Adams, the justices of the first Supreme Court and numerous other American Revolutionaries have been reincarnated as the political and spiritual leaders of today, including George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Marianne Williamson, Shirley MacLaine, and others. Semkiw presents ample evidence that physical appearance, character traits, modes of thinking and expression, as well as family and karmic groups, often stay the same from lifetime to lifetime. He's also included photographs demonstrating the startling physical similarities the individuals of the American Revolution share with today's revolutionaries. As further support of the basic premise and reality of reincarnation, Semkiw has included Dr. Ian Stevenson's groundbreaking findings of children who report past lives, as well as other case studies of individuals who have researched and written on their own past lives. Discusses new research into using DNA to prove reincarnationFind out how physical appearance, character traits, synchronistic events, karmic groups, and spiritual guidance can be used to detect one's past livesIncludes numerous black & white photographs, dramatically illustrating the similar physical appearance of revolutionaries, past and present

Book Dear Broken Soul Return Home to God

Download or read book Dear Broken Soul Return Home to God written by Liyana Musfirah and published by IMAN Publication Sdn Bhd. This book was released on with total page 182 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “What’s beautiful about being broken is that you start to realise how much feelings you carry. You are introduced to the layers of emotions that you never knew were in you all along.” *** Life is a place for us to be tested — this is something we know but going through a painful and heartbreaking experience can leave the heart feeling like it’s shattered into pieces. We succumb to the pain, drown ourselves in the whirlwind of emotions, and we end up becoming a person we no longer recognise because of our “brokenness”. But love and pain are emotions from God. So why does one bring us joy and the other makes us feel like we’re trapped in a dark hole? *** In Dear Broken Soul, Islamic educator, Liyana Musfirah, and licensed psychotherapist, Maimunah Mosli, explore what happens to us when we go through a heartbreaking experience and how we can revive the heart by seeking God through our brokenness. It also invites us to embrace one certain fact – our heart and its brokenness will always have a home to come back to – and that is with God.

Book excerpt: In the midst of a cacophony of noise, finding true soul rest is nearly impossible. With so many responsibilities and distractions vying for our attention, too many of us have built unhealthy cycles of rest. As a result, we burn ourselves out, striving and straining against God's intent for our lives. We can only sustain a life of purpose if we learn to truly rest. In Soul Rest, Curtis "CZ" Zackery reveals how our misaligned view of rest has its roots in an identity that is out of rhythm with God. Taking steps toward understanding Sabbath in the way that God intends can dynamically affect every aspect of our lives. This thoughtful reflection on rest calls us to the hard work of self--examination, helping us move towards a purposeful and sustainable life with Jesus.

Book The Return of the Feminine and the World Soul

Download or read book The Return of the Feminine and the World Soul written by Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee and published by The Golden Sufi Center. This book was released on 2009-11-01 with total page 271 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The feminine holds the mystery of creation. This simple and primordial truth is often overlooked, but at this time of global crisis, which also carries the seeds of a global transformation, we need to reawaken to the spiritual power and potential of the feminine. Feminine qualities belong to both men and women, and they draw us into the depths within us, into the mysteries of the soul whose wisdom is called Sophia. Without the feminine nothing new can be born, nothing new can come into existence—we will remain caught in the materialistic images of life that are polluting our planet and desecrating our souls. We need to return to the core of our being, to where the sacred comes into existence. And the mystical feminine holds the key to this work of redemption and transformation. Over the past two decades Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee has given different teachings on the feminine and the anima mundi, the World Soul. They are compiled here for the first time. “Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee presents us with a clear picture of the Feminine which is now essential to building a new vision and value for our dear planet earth.” —MARION WOODMAN, Ph.D., Jungian Analyst and author “This book is the work of an alchemist—a vitally important contribution to the Great Work of rescuing the human soul from the darkness that currently shrouds it. In this dangerous transitional time, where ignorance, confusion and cruelty abound, its theme of the need for us to recover and comprehend the Feminine is of absolute and urgent relevance. Few people are able to define and evoke the Feminine in the way that Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee does; in poetic and beautiful prose, he speaks directly from his soul to ours, acting as advocate for the longing of the anima mundi, the World Soul, to be welcomed once again into our lives and our culture. He knows that this is the time of humanity’s awakening: each one of us participates in the mystery of the light hidden within us and within all nature that is being awakened. For exploring this mystery so directly and deeply and with such insight, he deserves our deepest gratitude. Women and men alike will welcome and treasure this book.” —ANNE BARING, co-author, The Myth of the Goddess: Evolution of an Image and The Dream of the Cosmos: A Quest for the Soul

Book excerpt: One young woman learns the true nature of power—both her own and others’—in the riveting conclusion to The Waking Land Trilogy. “Bates brilliantly concludes an impressive high fantasy trilogy with this tale of scheming and magic.”—Publishers Weekly (starred review) Sophy Dunbarron—the illegitimate daughter of a king who never was—has always felt like an impostor. Separated from her birth mother, raised by parents mourning the loss of their true daughter, and unacknowledged by her father, Sophy desires only a place and a family to call her own. But fate has other ideas. Caught up in Elanna Valtai’s revolution, Sophy has become the reigning monarch of a once-divided country—a role she has been groomed her whole life to fill. But as she quickly discovers, wearing a crown is quite a different thing from keeping a crown. With an influx of magic-bearing refugees pouring across the border, resources already thinned by war are stretched to the breaking point. Half the nobility in her court want her deposed, and the other half question her every decision. And every third person seems to be spontaneously manifesting magical powers. When Elanna is captured and taken to Paladis, Sophy’s last ally seems to have vanished. Now it is up to her alone to navigate a political maze that becomes more complex and thorny by the day. And worse, Sophy is hiding a huge secret—one that could destroy her tenuous hold on the crown forever. “Sophy is truly a feminist hero: she embraces equality and justice for all—a theme running throughout the novel—while challenging societal norms.”—Booklist Don’t miss any of Callie Bates’s magical Waking Land trilogy: THE WAKING LAND • THE MEMORY OF FIRE • THE SOUL OF POWER

Book Soul Retrieval

  • Publisher : Trafford Publishing
  • Release : 2006-07-26
  • ISBN : 1412218837
  • Pages : 250 pages

Download or read book Soul Retrieval written by Joanna Neff and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2006-07-26 with total page 250 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With clients in 25 States and in Australia, Canada (British Columbia, Ontario and Vancouver), El Salvador, England, Germany, India, Ireland, Singapore, Trinidad/Tobago (West Indies) author Joanna Neff does higher-dimensional soul retrieval and soul clearance sessions from her home in Boulder, Colorado, USA. Soul Retrieval: Return to Wholeness provides the context, gathered from a decade of channeled sessions, for why and how this energetic approach to soul retrieval works. The book also offers a glimpse of the author's own soul retrieval process (including past-life merging), excerpts from private and public sessions, and actual exercises from soul retrieval workshops. Why Must Soul Retrieval Be Done? During profound stress, pain or other trauma, human beings often experience what is called "soul loss", meaning, the loss of aspects of one's soul. Such events as loss of a loved one, automobile accident, surgery, addiction, combat trauma, abortion or miscarriage, and physical abuse are the prime causes. When a soul is fragmented one may no longer remember the details of the traumatic incidents that caused the fragmentation. The "lost" soul aspect has taken those memories with it. When a soul part leaves, it may also take with it a measure of one's vitality. The more severe the trauma, the more life force is depleted. People who have lost soul aspects may suffer chronic illnesses in childhood as a result of this reduced life force. One example of soul fragmenting occurs because of childhood sexual abuse. Here, parts of the soul literally leave because the event is too painful. If the soul fragmentation is severe enough, such illnesses as schizophrenia may occur. Because the integrity of the parts to the whole is broken down, recovery is seen as an impossibility. Further, the will may become vulnerable to negative entity attachment. Having fragments remain "unincorporated" between lifetimes affects karma because issues encapsulated in the consciousness of those fragments remain unresolved. In addition, if we remain unconscious of our other multi-incarnational lives, we bring them with us to our "next" incarnation, hopefully to awaken us to the reality that they're "out there." Shamanic Soul Retrieval Soul fragments rarely can return without assistance. Virtually without exception, however, when one does an internet search on "soul retrieval," page after page comes up listing "shamanic soul retrieval" as the available option. A time-honored, and proven, method, shamanic soul retrieval has benefited many and is still appropriate for certain people. However, many have experienced that the shamanic method is much slower and can be quite uncomfortable. With this method, you undergo a linear process-a shamanic journey, and then, over time, the psychological and emotional integration of the parts. Once the soul retrieval is done, however, the client may be left to go through the rigors of soul integration alone. The reason is that with shamanic soul retrieval, the work is primarily physical and psychological. Therefore, the restructuring is really going on in your psychological consciousness, that is, personality consciousness, not at the Soul level. This is a primary reason why clients come to the author for higher-dimensional soul retrieval after they have received shamanic soul retrieval. Book Testimonials "I have read your website and concur with much of what you write there. I took soul retrieval training through the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. As the result of my own soul retrieval work, personally as well as with clients, I have found out the same things as you, that the shamanic way can be slow and painful. Often past-life work, beliefs work, or other extra healing work need to be done." Maryphyllis Horn: Shamanic Practitioner; MEd, CMHt, CTFTRev. Reconnection Practitioner (Pittsboro, NC), author of Soul Integration: A Shamanic Path To Freedom And Wholeness "I am becoming a hypnotherapist, and after working with you and Melora a couple months ago, I thought I would write say that I feel the two sessions I've had with you (over three years) have been the most significant single point of healing I've ever experienced. I'd also like to thank you for helping me intellectually realize that time does not exist by bringing a "future" self to heal me in my current consciousness." Lyn Johnson (Denver, CO)

Book excerpt: Throughout the ages, humanity has sought to make sense of its existence. Beyond dogma and doctrine via the Ageless Wisdom, individuals such as Hermes, the Buddha, and Jesus have reminded humanity of their true nature; their soul. These teachers showed that we all come from a divine realm, a realm much grander than that which we have created here on earth. In the current age, humanity is suffering from the lovelessness and lack of meaning that arises when we disconnect from divinity. This book is a guide to the daily incremental movements we can bring into our lives as we make our way back to divinity. "Olga Tokarczuk’s The Lost Soul, an experimental fable illustrated by Joanna Concejo and translated by Antonia Lloyd-Jones, resonates with our current moment. . . . What a striking, and lovely, material object it is." —New York Times "The Lost Soul, by Olga Tokarczuk and illustrator Joanna Concejo, is a quiet meditation on happiness, following a busy man who loses his soul. . . It pours a childlike sense of wonder into a once-upon-a-time tale that is already resonating with adults around the world." —The Guardian The Lost Soul is a deeply moving reflection on our capacity to live in peace with ourselves, to remain patient, attentive to the world. It is a story that beautifully weaves together the voice of the Nobel Prize-winning Polish novelist Olga Tokarczuk and the finely detailed pen-and-ink drawings of illustrator Joanna Concejo, who together create a parallel narrative universe full of secrets, evocative of another time. Here a man has forgotten what makes his heart feel full. He moves to a house away from all that is familiar to him to wait for his soul to return. "Once upon a time there was a man who worked very hard and very quickly, and who had left his soul far behind him long ago. In fact his life was all right without his soul—he slept, ate, worked, drove a car and even played tennis. But sometimes he felt as if the world around him were flat, as if he were moving across a smooth page in a math book that was covered in evenly spaced squares... " —from The Lost Soul The Lost Soul is a sublime album, a rare delicacy that will delight readers young and old. "You must find a place of your own, sit there quietly and wait for your soul." Book Return to the City of Joseph

Download or read book Return to the City of Joseph written by Scott C. Esplin and published by University of Illinois Press. This book was released on 2018-11-15 with total page 306 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the mid-twentieth century, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) returned to Nauvoo, Illinois, home to the thriving religious community led by Joseph Smith before his murder in 1844. The quiet farm town became a major Mormon heritage site visited annually by tens of thousands of people. Yet Nauvoo's dramatic restoration proved fraught with conflicts. Scott C. Esplin's social history looks at how Nauvoo's different groups have sparred over heritage and historical memory. The Latter-day Saint project brought it into conflict with the Community of Christ, the Midwestern branch of Mormonism that had kept a foothold in the town and a claim on its Smith-related sites. Non-Mormon locals, meanwhile, sought to maintain the historic place of ancestors who had settled in Nauvoo after the Latter-day Saints' departure. Examining the recent and present-day struggles to define the town, Esplin probes the values of the local groups while placing Nauvoo at the center of Mormonism's attempt to carve a role for itself within the greater narrative of American history.

This collection brings together cutting-edge research on the metaphysics of human nature and the possibility of post-mortem survival.Kevin Corcoran's collection, Soul, Body, and Survival, includes chapters from those who embrace traditional soul-body dualism, those who assert person-body identity, and those who propose entirely new views that fall outside the categories of monism and dualism.
