Book excerpt: This book is an after the rapture guide and has been written with the hopes that born-again believers, Christians, would give it and a Holy Bible to a loved one or anyone they know that hasn't accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their life. It is the belief of this author that I am not alone as a parent wanting to leave behind a guidance tool for my child. Perhaps you have children, grandchildren, a loved neighbor, or a coworker that could one day benefit from this after the rapture guide. The intent is that once the left behind sees we, Christians, have been called into the clouds and taken home they would turn to the bible for guidance. Each chapter will show them where they are in the biblical timeline. From here they can prepare for what is to happen as well as view the bible verse proving these things will come to pass. My prayer is that this book will help guide them to the Word of God and the truth that is Jesus Christ our Lord before it is too late.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Mexican based Ruiz crime family flourished from exporting printed pornography to Europe laundering the huge profits through the Viennese Liberec International Bank. When widowed, Fernando and son Carlos relocated to Miami. Carlos was despatched off to finish his education in New York State where he established friendships with the sons of wealthy and politically ambitious families. Carlos videoed his liaisons with the mothers of his fellow students. What he did not appreciate at the time was just how valuable such videos would be when his school friends fathers became elected to the US Senate and Congress. The internet began to diminish the profitability of the Ruiz business. Simultaneously the Belize drug cartels were infiltrating the Mexico end of the operations. In desperation, Fernando Ruiz reluctantly accepted a solution proposed from Carlos. "Youve eighteen million Euros to prove what can be done Carlos. Call this a test run through the Liberec Bank. I dont want anyone messed up, especially the local families in Mexico. As long as they are up to printing currency Ive already got the people who can organise the distribution by manipulating the computer systems. Before you know it well own most of the industrial property in Europe. What Carlos did not know was that the UK Intelligence Services had Bernice Jayne Peters inside of the Liberec Bank monitoring the laundering of Ruiz money. The issue was that Charles Grimshaw, who had been forced to engage Peters on his retread team, did not trust her. Hacket, you go and see what the hell is going on. Too many bodies are turning up. Grimshaw had said. London wants, no, I want an end to this and yesterday. Copy/ paste into your browser for more - http://www.mbchattelle.me.uk

Book An Enigmatic Disappearance

Download or read book An Enigmatic Disappearance written by Roderic Jeffries and published by Minotaur Books. This book was released on 2015-10-27 with total page 210 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Inspector Alvarez likes the quiet life, away from the disapproving gaze of his boss, Superior Chief Salas, and the antics of Mallorca's expatriate community. So he is not inclined to become too concerned when Bevis Ogden, a wealthy British man, reports the disappearance of his attractive young wife, Sabrina. No doubt she has found a younger, possibly wealthier, alternative and left for greener pastures. However, the discovery of a body at the bottom of a gorge changes his attitude dramatically. The husband is distraught, but is this just an act? Rumors abound over Sabrina's lifestyle-from the lovers to the over-indulgent spending. But their expat pack is rife with unsavory characters: The young gigolo who, dependent on a wealthy older woman, may have had an illicit affair with Sabrina; and the cynical and bitter friend whose advances she may have rejected. The investigation becomes even more complicated when the specter of an insurance fraud is raised. Alvarez thinks he knows the answer, but proving his theory is another matter. Wittier and fresher than ever, this latest novel in the "good natured, wonderfully ironic, completely captivating" series (Buffalo News), proves that Roderic Jeffries is a clever and compelling storyteller at the top of his form.

Book excerpt: Don’t miss the JOE PICKETT series—now streaming on Paramount+ Wyoming game warden Joe Pickett has two lethal cases to contend with in this electrifying novel from #1 New York Times-bestselling author C.J. Box. Wyoming's new governor isn't sure what to make of Joe Pickett, but he has a job for him that is extremely delicate. A prominent female British executive never came home from the high-end guest ranch she was visiting, and the British Embassy is pressing hard. Pickett knows that happens sometimes--these ranches are stocked with handsome young cowboys, and "ranch romances" aren't uncommon. But no sign of her months after she vanished? That suggests something else. At the same time, his friend Nate Romanowski has asked Joe to intervene with the Feds on behalf of falconers who can no longer hunt with eagles even though their permits are in order. Who is blocking the falconers and why? The more Joe investigates both cases, the more someone wants him to go away. Is it because of the missing woman or because he's become Nate's advocate? Or are they somehow connected? The answers, when they come, will be even worse than he'd imagined.

Book excerpt: With heart, intelligence and a rare ability to illuminate the struggles inherent in ordinary lives, Tom Perrotta's The Leftovers—now adapted into an HBO series—is a startling, thought-provoking novel about love, connection and loss. What if—whoosh, right now, with no explanation—a number of us simply vanished? Would some of us collapse? Would others of us go on, one foot in front of the other, as we did before the world turned upside down? That's what the bewildered citizens of Mapleton, who lost many of their neighbors, friends and lovers in the event known as the Sudden Departure, have to figure out. Because nothing has been the same since it happened—not marriages, not friendships, not even the relationships between parents and children. Kevin Garvey, Mapleton's new mayor, wants to speed up the healing process, to bring a sense of renewed hope and purpose to his traumatized community. Kevin's own family has fallen apart in the wake of the disaster: his wife, Laurie, has left to join the Guilty Remnant, a homegrown cult whose members take a vow of silence; his son, Tom, is gone, too, dropping out of college to follow a sketchy prophet named Holy Wayne. Only Kevin's teenaged daughter, Jill, remains, and she's definitely not the sweet "A" student she used to be. Kevin wants to help her, but he's distracted by his growing relationship with Nora Durst, a woman who lost her entire family on October 14th and is still reeling from the tragedy, even as she struggles to move beyond it and make a new start. Book excerpt: For fans of Robin Sloan's Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore and Maria Semple's Where'd You Go, Bernadette, an inventive, brilliant debut novel about the disappearance of a famous Brazilian novelist and the young translator who turns her life upside down to follow her author's trail. Beatriz Yagoda was once one of Brazil's most celebrated authors. At the age of sixty, she is mostly forgotten-until one summer afternoon when she enters a park in Rio de Janeiro, climbs into an almond tree, and disappears. When her devoted translator Emma hears the news in wintry Pittsburgh, she flies to the sticky heat of Rio. There she joins the author's son and daughter to solve the mystery of Yagoda's disappearance and satisfy the demands of the colorful characters left in her wake, including a loan shark with a debt to collect and the washed-up editor who launched Yagoda's career. What they discover is how much of her they never knew. Exquisitely imagined and as profound as it is suspenseful, Ways to Disappear is at once a thrilling story of intrigue and a radiant novel of self-reckoning. "An elegant page-turner....Charges forward with the momentum of a bullet."-New York Times Book Review
