Download or read book Snarl written by John Francis Pearring and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2022-06-23 with total page 162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Catholic writer imagines the answer to one of the most compelling questions people face in this world—and the next. Do animals get rewarded with eternal life? The life and death story of a mountain lion leaving his mother and brother to encounter predators and his next meal parallels the challenges of nearby humans attempting to steward both forest and wildlife. Where do their struggles lead them? When lives are lost, do animals join humans in heaven? Seen through the eyes of creatures great and small, Snarl takes the reader on an unforgettable journey where they have their eyes opened to startling new possibilities. Since the book frames our heaven shared with every willingly redeemed animal, not just those that we know and love, the author is compelled to substantiate his premise with evidence from Scripture and a mix of classic theologians. Follow this story for the possibility of our shared redemption.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Who is the criminal known only as “The Beast?” Too baffling for the police to solve, it becomes a manhunt in which detective Race Williams must track down “the most feared, the cunningest and cruelest creature that stalks the city streets at night.” But it will soon become Race's most dangerous case as he tries to stay alive. One of the longest and best of the dozens of Race Williams adventures. Story #17 in the Race Williams series. Carroll John Daly (1889–1958) was the creator of the first hard-boiled private eye story, predating Dashiell Hammett's first Continental Op story by several months. Daly's classic character, Race Williams, was one of the most popular fiction characters of the pulps, and the direct inspiration for Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer.
Download or read book Real Men Snarl Real Men Romance Paranormal Werewolf Romance written by Celia Kyle and published by Real Men Romance™. This book was released on 2018-07-18 with total page 225 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ally doesn't want to have anything to do with werewolves. Kade is a werewolf who wants to do everything to Ally. Just because Ally Rose can turn into a wolf, doesn't mean that she's happy about her status as a shape-shifting, occasionally howling, never-butt-sniffing werewolf. As a result, she has only two rules in life: 1) avoid werewolf packs at all costs and 2) stay the hell away from the man who turned her against her will. Packs are evil…violent…deadly… And the wolf who turned her is the worst of the worst. Just because Kade Blackwood is the Alpha’s brother, doesn’t mean he can ignore a direct order — even when it’s something as mundane as packing up an old woman’s belongings and hauling them back to the pack house in Ashwood. But all of his good intentions fly out of the window the moment he steps foot in tiny Pepper, Georgia…and smells her. His mate. He wants her. Craves her. Aches for her. But first he has to find her…before the wolf hunting Ally gets his paws on her.

Download or read book The Snarling Logician written by Andrew Marker and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2014-10-23 with total page 301 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Snarling Logician presents the reflections of a free-thinker. It explains in what sense free-thinking is free, and also the sense in which it is not. Free-thinking, the author argues, essentially involves a commitment to follow the evidence wherever it leads, and to accept the conclusions of rational inquiry, even if those conclusions initially displease us. The book contains three essays. The first explores the nature of the philosophic quest. It emphasizes the difficulty of doing philosophy, and the even greater difficulty of writing about it in plain language. The second essay defends the philosophy of evidentialism, and shows why religious faith inevitably has a corrupting influence on the human mind. The final essay attempts to prove beyond any reasonable doubt that there is no God. This is not the undecidable question many take it to be. There are in fact at least three cogent arguments for the atheistic position, any one of which would suffice to demonstrate the irrationality of traditional western monotheism, as found in the religions of Christianity, judaism, and Islam. Although the concept of evil appears in all three arguments, the famous argument from evil is not one of the three offered here. The common notion that the argument from evil is the best, or even the only serious, objection to theism, is simply false.
