The couple immigrated to Hopkinton, Massachusetts ca. 1848. In 1853 the family moved to the small settlement of Teteagouche, near Bathurst, New Brunswick, Canada. The couple lived there until their deaths. William died in 1887. Dora died in 1906. The couple had 13 children. Two of the children died in infancy. One son died at age 15. A daughter died at age 18 in an accident. The remaining 9 children married and had children. .
