Book excerpt: The "Master Love Collection: the Relationship Guide to make him or her commit" is a collection of short poems followed by a complete explanation that truly explains how to get him or her to commit. Each poem is a unique piece of work that has been recited throughout the United States, and each poetic piece can be used to help gain commitment points. This book is not intended to be read in chronological order because it touches on several different relational topics. For example, the reader can skip to the end of the book and visit the Woman's Sport Cheat Sheet. This Cheat Sheet explains why men love sports, and it also explains how a woman can use sports to gain commitment points from the man she is dating. The Woman's Sport Cheat Sheet explains his sport in plain English. Upon dating several women, Julius has decided to write this book and introduce strategies and methods that can be used to make a relationship flourish. After being with a woman for more than a decade and never fully committing, he finally figured out why he did not commit to her. In his book, he mentions several reasons why he and other men such as himself don't want to fully commit. Before changing is ways, Julius dated 100's of women and upon dating them, he discovered what they want. These women have been either, single or married. In his book, he also list several ways to sexually satisfy a woman by using his Top Ten Sex positions that's guaranteed to make her have an orgasm. Upon reading this book, the reader will discover that this book is unlike any other because not only does he speak to men, he also speaks to women by telling them how to get the opposite sex to commit.

Book The Body and the Book

Download or read book The Body and the Book written by and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2015-06-29 with total page 372 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The stimulating mix of academics and practising poets that have contributed to this volume provides an unusual and illuminating integration of critical and creative practice and a vibrantly diverse approach to questions of poetry and sexuality. Each section of essays is complemented by poems which creatively illustrate or develop the theme with which the essays critically engage. Rather than being limited to a specific genre, tradition, time or place, this collection seeks to make a virtue of contrast, comparison and juxtaposition. The collection is arranged into sections that range broadly across the thematic ground of dichotomies, traditions and revisions, microscopic and macroscopic perspectives, women and embodiment, and the notion of play and performance. Positioning eighteenth-century tinkers ballads alongside medieval Hebrew lyrics and the Blues of Gorgeous Puddin’, or making Dionysus rub shoulders with Sharon Olds and Mrs Rochester provides new perspectives on familiar material and valuable insights into more obscure work and the nature of sensual poetry as a mode of expression. As the editors suggest, the essays and poems presented collectively argue that writings about sexuality are always already about the way poets see and represent our bodies, the world and poetic language itself.

It is truly a beautiful country, comprised of hundreds and hundreds of unique cities, towns, communities, villages – all situated and spread out randomly in this wilderness, this land designated as the United States. It seemed so that we can find our way about, locating each other and finding those not lost, we identify spaces by selective names to coincide with the numerical values made possible for mapping out space. Some spaces are more populated and better known than others. Our country is divided into segments called states. There are fifty, not all attached, and they each have their own name. The subject of this book is primarily one southern state called Mississippi. Further restricted to a smaller area a town called Harlem. Harlem is like many other towns within Mississippi, yet special. It is special because their people are special, check for yourself... Like all other areas this town – Harlem really exist and is populated by people some nice, others not so nice. Generally, space and areas remain constant. It is the people that change, bringing alteration to the area they inhabit. The Harlem of yesterday is not the Harlem of today and will not be the Harlem of tomorrow. Which one do you prefer? Review the many different Harlem auras, select your choice. Areas often dictates how people react. Weather controls the life cycle to some degree, the mode of travel and the ease of reaching those thereat determines who and why some people remain. Spend time in Harlem, Mississippi meet its regular residents, walk its streets. Get to know Alphonso Poole, Carlton Baisley, Andrew MacFarley, William Alcorn, BoRabbit and Wanda Richardson. Go to work with Clyde, Rosalind, Claudia and Clinton; find out who was a sociopath, and who transgendered. Commiserate with the needs of the lost while celebrating with the honored and praised... Like the deep south, before television became the rave as a household entertainment media, or babysitter as well as for the senior citizen’s companion and lifeline. Find out what occupied poor people’s time. Who made money, why, and how. You may never find the true answers but you might learn that and more traveling around in Harlem. There are mighty people there in Harlem, come put your feet up, stay awhile. You might be surprised. At least some of the creeping eternal boredom might be released. Jacquelyn has painted a picture of several ordinary everyday people who desired change and through trial and error; hit and miss, brought change to their lives. Was the change noteworthy? Was the change good or bad? Check for yourself. Right there in Harlem; change is very evident real, and good, bad or indifferent. Check those that pulled change out of the bag and see who will reap what they ultimately sow in HARLEM... I know you will grow to love some of those dear hearts and not so gentle people. Check and see. Do you want change in your life? It’s here waiting for you – Harlem might be your starting point, just open this book...

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An enthralling and comprehensive look into the contemporary state of one of the wealthiest—and most misunderstood—family dynasties in the world, perfect for fans of Succession and House of Gucci. The Gettys are one of the wealthiest—and most misunderstood—family dynasties. Oil magnate J. Paul Getty, once the richest man in the world, is the patriarch of an extraordinary cast of sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. While some have been brought low by mental illness, drug addiction, and one of the most sensational kidnapping cases of the 20th century, many of Getty’s heirs have achieved great success. In addition to Mark Getty, a cofounder of Getty Images, and Anne G. Earhart, an award-winning environmentalist, others have made significant marks in a variety of fields, from music and viniculture to politics and LGBTQ rights. Now, across four continents, a new generation of lively, unique, and even outrageous Gettys is emerging—and not coasting on the dynasty’s still-immense wealth. August Getty designs extravagant gowns worn by Katy Perry, Cher, and other stars; his sibling, Nats—a fellow LGBTQ rights activist who announced his gender transition following his wedding to transgender icon Gigi Gorgeous—produces a line of exclusive streetwear. Their fascinating cousins include Balthazar, a multi-hyphenate actor-director-DJ-designer; and Isabel, a singer-songwriter and MBA candidate. A far-flung yet surprisingly close-knit group, the ascendant Gettys are bringing this iconic family onto the global stage in the 21st century. Through extensive research, including access to J. Paul Getty’s diaries and love letters, and fresh interviews with family members and friends, Growing Up Getty offers an enthralling and revealing look into the benefits and burdens of being part of today’s world of the ultra-wealthy.

Download or read book Sonic Sovereignty written by Liz Przybylski and published by NYU Press. This book was released on 2023-07-25 with total page 199 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What does sovereignty sound like? Sonic Sovereignty considers how contemporary Indigenous musicians champion self-determination through musical expression in Canada and the United States. The framework of “sonic sovereignty” connects self-definition, collective determination, and Indigenous land rematriation to the immediate and long-lasting effects of expressive culture. Liz Przybylski covers online and offline media spaces, following musicians and producers as they, and their music, circulate across broadcast and online networks. Przybylski documents and reflects on shifts in both the music industry and political landscape over the course of a decade: as the ways in which people listen to, consume, and interact with popular music have radically changed, extensive public conversations have flourished around contemporary Indigenous culture, settler responsibility, Indigenous leadership, and decolonial futures. Sonic Sovereignty encourages us to experiment with temporal possibilities of listening by detailing moments when a sample, lyric, or musical reference moves a listener out of normative time. Nonlinear storytelling practices from hip hop music and other North American Indigenous sonic practices inform these generative listenings. The musical readings presented in this book thus explore how musicians use tools to help listeners embrace rupture, and how out-of-time listening creates decolonial possibilities.
