  • Pages : 286 pages

Download or read book The Image Breaker written by James L. Williams and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2023-05-22 with total page 286 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Image Breaker is a book of reconciling truths poised to challenge traditional thought, conventional wisdom, and core convictions with respect to many cherished beliefs. It is destined to provoke the reexamination of scientific theories like evolution while bridging cosmological theory with the events of the biblical creation story. It also provides an intriguing look into unlocking man’s genetic potential and promise of longevity. There will be an unveiling of the purpose for which the Kingdom of God on earth exists, and what it truly means to be Sons of God. Mysteries like the location of the Garden of Eden and the key to Enoch’s translation will all be revealed. You will gain insight into the truth behind religious denominationalism and its hindrances to spiritual unity. The reason for catastrophic events like earthquakes, tornadoes, and tsunamis will be uncovered with new insights into the cause of many of them being spiritual in nature. It is far time the Church heeds the call to embrace a deeper, more revealing truth of scripture, as well as whom Christ is and who we are in Him. The mandate is to uncover and expose anything that does not hold up to the standard of biblical truth. The Image Breaker is your guide to fresh revelation and expanded insight. It is an unveiling of truth and reality that has long been masked by the cloak of religious piety, social tradition, and false representations of scientific observation. It is a clarion call to awaken the twenty-first-century Church to the vices that are a manipulation of a culture lost to modernism, postmodernism, and social and religious tradition.

Book Collective Diffusion on Surfaces Correlation Effects and Adatom Interactions

Download or read book Collective Diffusion on Surfaces Correlation Effects and Adatom Interactions written by M.C. Tringides and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 350 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As materials research focuses into finding ways to control the growth of atomic scale structures, there is correspondingly increasing emphasis on to the problem of surface diffusion. Clearly surface diffusion is the key process, which determines how atoms move on the surface. Controlling this motion can lead to the easy fabrication of well-controlled nanostructures broadening the present possibilities in nanotechnology. The paradigm of surface diffusion has outgrown its standard textbook description as a random walk on a rigid substrate. In real systems for more complex situations are encountered: interacting atoms are commonly present on the surface with their motions highly correlated, different phases form on the surface with different dynamics, large concentration gradients drive the system far away from the linear response regime, rich metastable structures form as a result of balanced interplay between different kinetic processes, substrate relaxation can change the energy landscape and the diffusion barriers, etc. The motivation behind this ARW was to bring together the international community working on these problems. We felt that the large number of researchers, new results, and well-formulated open questions in this area require some form of integration in a single forum. The ARW and the upcoming proceedings book with papers by the majority of the participants has provided this forum. The meeting was not planned as a continuation of the earlier NATO ASI in Rhodes in 1996, although several people have participated in both meetings.

Book Solving the Powertrain Puzzle

Download or read book Solving the Powertrain Puzzle written by Schaeffler Technologies GmbH & Co. KG and published by Springer. This book was released on 2014-09-12 with total page 517 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Every four years, Schaeffler provides an insight into its latest developments and technologies from the engine, transmission and chassis as well as hybridization and electric mobility sectors. In 2014 the Schaeffler Symposium with the motto “Solving the Powertrain Puzzle” took place from 3th to 4th of April in Baden-Baden. Mobility for tomorrow is the central theme of this proceeding. The authors are discussing the different requirements, which are placed on mobility in different regions of the world. In addition to the company's work in research and development, a comprehensive in-house mobility study also provides a reliable basis for the discussion. The authors are convinced that there will be a paradigm shift in the automotive industry. Issues such as increasing efficiency and advancing electrification of the powertrain, automatic and semi-automatic driving, as well as integration in information networks will define the automotive future. In addition, the variety of solutions available worldwide will become increasingly more complex and mobility patterns will also change rapidly. However, this does not mean that cars will drive virtually in the future. Powertrains based on internal combustion engines will still dominate for a very long time and demonstrate new strengths in combination with hybrid drives. Transmissions will also gain in importance as the link between the internal combustion engine and electric motor. The proceeding “Solving the Powertrain Puzzle” contains 34 technical papers from renowned experts and researchers in the field of automotive engineering.

Book The Gigantic Markagunt and Sevier Gravity Slides Resulting from Mid Cenozoic Catastrophic Mega Scale Failure of the Marysvale Volcanic Field Utah USA

Download or read book The Gigantic Markagunt and Sevier Gravity Slides Resulting from Mid Cenozoic Catastrophic Mega Scale Failure of the Marysvale Volcanic Field Utah USA written by Robert F. Biek and published by Geological Society of America. This book was released on 2019-12-31 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "The Markagunt and Sevier gravity slides are gigantic landslides that resulted from gravitationally induced catastrophic failure of the southern flank of the Oligocene to Miocene Marysvale volcanic field. Each is nearly 100 km long with runouts over the former land surface >35 km; together they span 7000 km2 and rank among Earth's largest terrestrial landslides. Basal cataclastic layers, injectites, pseudotachylyte, deformed clasts, and a variety of kinematic indicators demonstrate catastrophic emplacement, which was preceded by slow gravitational spreading of the volcanic field. This volume offers a history of their discovery, our current understanding of the gravity slides, and a guide to particularly instructive exposures for which the authors document their conclusions about the size, age, and significant structural features of these newly discovered features"--

Book excerpt: Two sisters. A lost imperial treasure. The world’s greatest puzzle master has twenty-four hours to solve the most dangerous mystery of his life . . . or die trying, in “[this] breathlessly paced and nail-bitingly suspenseful” (Booklist) novel from the New York Times bestselling author of The Puzzle Master, hailed as “thrilling” by David Baldacci. “This rip-roaring adventure thriller is an escapist puzzle box of delights: a neurodivergent hero, an unsolvable mystery, and death hanging over every move.”—Catherine Steadman, author of Something in the Water “[An] astounding sequel . . . This clever and satisfying novel cements Mike Brink as an action hero for the ages.”—Publishers Weekly, starred review It is the Year of the Wood Dragon, and the ingenious Mike Brink has been invited to Tokyo, Japan, to open the legendary Dragon Box. The box was constructed during one of Japan’s most tumultuous periods, when the samurai class was disbanded and the shogun lost power. In this moment of crisis, Emperor Meiji locked a priceless Imperial secret in the Dragon Box. Only two people knew how to open the box—Meiji and the box’s sadistic constructor—and both died without telling a soul what was inside or how to open it. Every twelve years since then, in the Year of the Dragon, the Imperial family holds a clandestine contest to open the box. It is devilishly difficult, filled with tricks, booby traps, poisons, and mind-bending twists. Every puzzle master who has attempted to open it has died in the process. But Brink is not just any puzzle master. He may be the only person alive who can crack it. His determination is matched only by that of two sisters, descendants of an illustrious samurai clan, who will stop at nothing to claim the treasure. Brink’s quest launches him on a breakneck adventure across Japan, from the Imperial Palace in Tokyo to the pristine forests of Hakone to an ancient cave in Kyushu. In the process, he discovers the power of Meiji’s hidden treasure, and—more crucially—the true nature of his extraordinary talent.
