This book was released on 2023-07-21 with total page 64 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

This book was released on 2003 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Resumen: ESTE PROYECTO DE INVESTIGACION, TUVO COMO FINALIDAD SELECCIONAR, ADAPTAR Y EVALUAR EL POTENCIAL DE TRES PLANTAS ACUATICAS, TIPICAS DE LA ZONA CAFETERA, PARA SER USADAS EN HUMEDALES ARTIFICIALES PARA EL TRATAMIENTO DE AGUAS RESIDUALES. ESTE PROCESO DIO INICIO EN EL MES DE ABRIL DE 2002, CON LA PREPARACION Y ADAPTACION DE LOS HUMEDALES ARTIFICIALES A ESCALA PILOTO. LAS UNIDADES EXPERIMENTALES SE LOCALIZARON EN LA PLANTA DE TRATAMIENTO DE AGUAS RESIDUALES DE LA UNIVERSIDAD TECNOLOGICA DE PEREIRA. ENTRE EL 26 DE JULIO DEL 2002 Y MARZO DE 2003 SE REALIZO EL SEGUIMIENTO FISICO-QUIMICO DE LAS UNIDADES EXPERIMENTALES, EFECTUANDO UN TOTAL DE TREINTA (30) MUESTREOS. LAS PLANTAS EVALUADAS FUERON JUNCO 8JUNCACEAE- JUNCUS SPP), TYPHA (TYPHACEAE-TYPHA SPP), Y JENGIBRE (RENEALMIA ALPINA). CADA PLANTA FUE UBICADA EN DOS MEDIOS FILTRANTES DIFERENTES (ARENA Y GRAVA) Y SE TUVIERON CONTROLES DEL MEDIO FILTRANTE SIN PLANTAS. EN TOTAL SE CONTO CON OCHO UNIDADES EXPERIMENTALES. CADA UNIDAD FUE ALIMENTADA INDEPENDIENTEMENTE CON AGUAS RESIDUALES DEL CAMPUS DE LA UNIVERSIDAD TECNOLOGICA DE PEREIRA. SE REALIZO UN SEGUIMIENTO O MONITOREO DE LAS PLANTAS, CON LA FINALIDAD DE OBSERVAR SU EVOLUCION EN EL CRECIMIENTO Y SU AUMENTO EN LA DENSIDAD DE POBLACION DE HOJAS Y DE TALLOS COMO INDICADOR DE LA ADAPTACION DE LA PLANTA AL AGUA RESIDUAL. IGUALMENTE SE EVALUARON PARAMETROS FISICO-QUIMICOS COMO: DBO, DQO, FOSFORO, NITROGENO AMONIACAL, NITROGENO TOTAL, NITRITOS Y NITRATOS. ADICIONALMENTE SE REALIZARON ANALISIS DE TRAZADORES EN LAS UNIDADES EXPERIMENTALES CON EL PROPOSITO DE DETERMINAR EL TIEMPO REAL DE RETENCION HIDRAULICO (1.5 DIAS) Y CONOCER SI EXISTEN PROBLEMAS DE DISTRIBUCION HIDRAULICA.

Book excerpt: The therapeutic landscape concept, first introduced early in the 1990s, has been widely employed in health/medical geography and gaining momentum in various health-related disciplines. This is the first book published in several years, and provides an introduction to the concept and its applications. Written by health/medical geographers and anthropologists, it addresses contemporary applications in the natural and built environments; for special populations, such as substance abusers; and in health care sites, a new and evolving area - and provides an array of critiques or contestations of the concept and its various applications. The conclusion of the work provides a critical evaluation of the development and progress of the concept to date, signposting the likely avenues for future investigation.
