Book excerpt: It started with the lingerie, just trying it on at home. Then my collection grew. Bralettes, panties, nighties, and stockings. Then I wanted to share it. Wear it for gentleman callers. What started as a kink turned into a full-on fetish. "Sissy searching for satisfaction" was my calling card on my profile. Plenty of men answered. My hobby had turned to lust—a desire to be used. This particular night, I am celebrating a promotion at work. The lingerie set I picked up for the occasion has me tingling with excitement. Will Nick be able to satisfy me? The sloppy, overweight man takes immediate command of me. He sets about satisfying all my sissy femboy needs. And more. He takes my body to places I have never dreamed of. Thoroughly used, I jump at the chance of a second encounter … but this time it's with a twist. Keywords: sissy, femboy, lingerie, nipple play, chastity cage, douching, fisting, anal insertions, ass to mouth

  • Author : Kareem Khubchandani
  • Publisher : University of Michigan Press
  • Release : 2020-07-16
  • ISBN : 047205421X
  • Pages : 287 pages

Download or read book Ishtyle written by Kareem Khubchandani and published by University of Michigan Press. This book was released on 2020-07-16 with total page 287 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ishtyle follows queer South Asian men across borders into gay neighborhoods, nightclubs, bars, and house parties in Bangalore and Chicago. Bringing the cultural practices they are most familiar with into these spaces, these men accent the aesthetics of nightlife cultures through performance. Kareem Khubchandani develops the notion of “ishtyle” to name this accented style, while also showing how brown bodies inadvertently become accents themselves, ornamental inclusions in the racialized grammar of desire. Ishtyle allows us to reimagine a global class perpetually represented as docile and desexualized workers caught in the web of global capitalism. The book highlights a different kind of labor, the embodied work these men do to feel queer and sexy together. Engaging major themes in queer studies, Khubchandani explains how his interlocutors’ performances stage relationships between: colonial law and public sexuality; film divas and queer fans; and race, caste, and desire. Ultimately, the book demonstrates that the unlikely site of nightlife can be a productive venue for the study of global politics and its institutional hierarchies.

Book excerpt: 'Like a superheated kernel of corn, the world has gone Pop... Drag has become mainstream. Being gay became cool. From being the criminal outsider, being queer has even become representative of the way the outsider voice is common to us all.' When he moved to New York in 1982, Fenton Bailey saw the world go Pop. Together with filmmaking partner Randy Barbato, their production company World of Wonder would pioneer the genre of Reality TV and chronicle the emerging Screen Age through their extraordinary programs and outrageous subjects - from Bible Belt televangelists and conspiracy theories to pioneering drag queens. Working with icons such as Britney Spears, Tammy Faye Bakker and RuPaul, the production company's shows tell a wider story of how television has fundamentally shifted our reality. Book excerpt: Free and Proud dissects the disintegrating relationship between two American men from different backgrounds. Hakeem is an immigrant from Nigeria, a driven, loyal, righteous guy who's worked hard to build a career for himself as a scientist. His husband, Jeremy, is white, privileged, American, lazy, unfaithful, unable to grow up, and wracked with guilt. The couple seem an odd match, and we see the dishonesty already at the heart of the relationship when they decide to marry. This continues as they begin to grow further apart, showing not only how this couple lose their way, but also how many relationships falter - we can recognise "upsetting and perhaps familiar patterns of partnerships that gradually dissipate over time" (WeeReview). Free & Proud examines the dynamics of a messy relationship and how sometimes it takes a disaster in order to make sense of the present. It was performed at the Edinburgh Festival in 2018.

Book Buddhism for the Unbelievably Busy

Download or read book Buddhism for the Unbelievably Busy written by Meshel Laurie and published by Nero. This book was released on 2017-11-27 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dear Reader – This is not a book about coping with unbelievable busyness. It’s a book about making it stop. What if I told you that a lot of what keeps you unbelievably busy is not only pointless, but avoidable, nonsensical and entirely driven by your own fears, insecurities and ego? You’d probably want to slap me, if you could find the time, right? Don’t worry, I was once just like you: exhausted, harried, overcommitted and flummoxed as to what to cut back on. I’m not completely cured, but for the first time in years I have room to breathe and to think about what kind of life I really want to live. And I have Buddhism to thank for this. In this book I’ve compiled the teachings, ideas and practices that got me to this point. Buddhism helped me dig deep to discover why I was determined to do so much, and why I was so afraid to stand still and be alone with myself. It’s not hippy-trippy stuff, believe me. Buddhism is just as relevant and practical in our modern world as it’s ever been. As crazy as it sounds, I’m asking you to add one more thing to your list today: read this book, and let it help you free yourself from the grind of your unbelievable busyness. Live the peaceful life you know you deserve and be the person you want to be.

Book Your New Feeling Is the Artifact of a Bygone Era

Download or read book Your New Feeling Is the Artifact of a Bygone Era written by Chad Bennett and published by Sarabande Books. This book was released on 2020-01-14 with total page 88 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Shirley Temple tap dancing at the Kiwanis Club, Stevie Nicks glaring at Lindsey Buckingham during a live version of “Silver Springs,” Frank Ocean lyrics staking new territory on the page: this is a taste of the cultural landscape sampled in Your New Feeling is the Artifact of a Bygone Era. Chad Bennett casually combines icons of the way we live now—GIFs, smartphones, YouTube—with a classical lover’s lament. The result is certainly a deeply personal account of loss, but more critically, a dismantling of an American history of queerness. “This is our sorrow. Once it seemed theirs, but now it’s ours. They still inhabit it, yet we say it’s ours.” All at once cerebral, physical, personal, and communal, Your New Feeling Is the Artifact of a Bygone Era constructs a future worth celebrating.
