He was first married to Jennet Lechman in 1739 in Boston, Massachu- setts; (2) Jennet (Jane) Miller Brown, widow of David Brown, 1758 in Bridgewater, Mass. It is believed that he sailed from Belfast, Ireland, arriving in Boston before 1738. He lived near Boston for a few years before moving ca. 1749 to Halifax. Descendants live in New York, Ohio, California, Connecticut, Canada and elsewhere.
