Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Come; let’s go for a walk into the woods, through the seasons, and the moods. Take a look into the realms inside. I have been talking about all of these to you all these years, but it’s only now that you can hear, rather read these. Feel the pent-up emotions taking wings. There are two ways one takes a break from the hectic, clichéd rat race. One, “stand and stare”, the other, sit and read. Being of simple uncluttered language, the poems in this book will be a walk in the park, I mean, the woods. Quite probably, there will be reflections of your own vignettes of emotions and feelings, in here. After all, we are the same species. So let us go and take the walk, side by side and take a look into my woods, through this book. You will not need a walking stick as the paths are not rough. The spotlight is on you!

  • Pages : 50 pages

Download or read book Silhouettes Memories written by Nicole Danielle Barutha and published by . This book was released on 2020-07-09 with total page 50 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book contains a collection of poetry, filled with raw emotion and brutal truth, both things that most people nowadays don't like to feel or talk about. It is vital, though, to look inside of ourselves and find these things, in order to heal completely. I've been through a lot over the last 10 years, and I believe that the lessons I've learned and the pain that I've endured can be used to help so many people. My poetry is a form of that help, and I want the words inside of my poems to fill the emptiest of people. I want people to know that they're not alone, even in the darkest of times, and that others can relate to their deepest emotions. In every single one of my poems, I speak not only about what I've gone through, but also about the strength that I have gained from it. I believe wholeheartedly that words have a way of giving hope that nothing else in this world ever could. Words fuel peoples' souls and I am hoping that this book of my deepest poetry can do that, too.

Her mother, on the other hand, does not approve of Garnet climbing trees to peer into nests. She has Garnet’s life all planned out: after finishing high school, she’ll marry and tend to the home. When Garnet is sent away for the summer to stay with relatives in the lakeside resort town of Excelsior, Minnesota, she discovers a chance to spread her wings. There she finds herself under the supervision of oppressive guardians and her father’s wealthy cousin. But an amusement park and roaring dance hall beckon, and her explorations land her where she least expects—enthralled with a beautiful and daring flapper, Isabella. Caught between her family’s expectations and her own newfound passions, Garnet must decide whose dreams to follow. Tender and moving, Silhouette of a Sparrow is the tale of a young woman’s discovery of the science of risk, the art of rebellion, and, of course, the power of unexpected love.

Book Silhouettes Classic Reprint

Download or read book Silhouettes Classic Reprint written by Arthur Symons and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2017-10-20 with total page 110 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Silhouettes Here, for once, in connection with these Silhouettes, I have not, if my recollection serves me, been accused of actual immorality. I am but a fair way along the primrose path, not yet within singeing distance of the everlasting bonfire. In other words, I have not yet written London Nights, which, it appears (i can scarcely realize it, in my innocent abstraétion in aesthetical matters), has no very salutary reputation among the blameless moralists of the press. I need not, therefore, on this occasion, concern myself with more than the curious fallacy by which there is supposed to be some thing inherently wrong in artistic work which deals frankly and lightly with the very real charm of the lighter emotions and the more fleeting sensations. I do not wish to assert that the kind of verse which happened to refleft certain moods of mine at a certain period of my life, is the best kind of verse in itself, or is likely to seem to me, in other years, when other moods may have made me their own, the best kind of verse for my own expression of myself. Nor do I affeft to doubt that the creation of the supreme emotion is a higher form of art than the reflection of the most exquisite sensation, the evocation of the most magical impression. I claim only an equal liberty for the rendering of every mood of that variable and inexplicable and contradictory creature which we call ourselves, of every aspect under which we are gifted or condemned to apprehend the beauty and strangeness and curiosity of the visible world. Book Sabotage Silhouettes

Download or read book Sabotage Silhouettes written by Rashida Basaria and published by Molding Messengers, LLC. This book was released on 2022-03-15 with total page 139 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sabotage and Silhouettes has a deeper meaning that just two words thrown together to form a creative alliteration. Each word holds a significant meaning in the title of this book. Sabotage is the deliberate damage, destruction, or obstruction of something. In this instance, it relates to my life, and possibly even parts of yours. The traumas that we go through, lead us to specific actions and emotions. When we feed into those emotions, we start to create chaos, sometimes intentionally and sometimes, unintentionally. Either way, we begin to self-sabotage. Whether we sabotage potential or existing relationships, important friendships, or even our own growth. We start to get in our own way. Many times, after the many losses I’ve gone through, I found myself sabotaging the very things that were sent to heal me. Silhouettes are dark shapes or outlines of someone or something against a lighter background. Our dark parts. Especially in times of anguish or hardship. Through traumas, everything goes dark. The silhouettes represent the dark parts of our lives, our mentality, our soul. Even with light all around, a silhouette will remain dark, and the details are impossible to make out. This is exactly how I felt through all my dark times. I wasn’t myself for months, maybe even a year or so, but the silhouettes hid the details in the dark while the light was still shining all around me. It made it hard for people to ‘see’ me. And even harder for me to ‘show’ myself to those around me. I shut down. And everything became dark.
