Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is about one thing, and that is to bring people all over the world closer to God. This book is about being able to hear and apply what God is saying to us as a people. It is about what God is saying, not what I, the author, am saying. This book is intended to help motivate and inspire the unbeliever to become a believer and a servant of the Most High God and to bring the believer even closer to God. In this book, I use personal experiences to illustrate that no matter what people may be going through or what they have done, God is still in the delivering business. This book is all about praising and giving God the glory in spite of how your situation looks. It is about praising your way out of your storm rather than walking through the storm with your head held down. This book is all about our father, creator, healer, deliverer, and savior, Jesus Christ.

Download or read book Shhh the Donkey s Trying to Speak written by James Ogden and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2023-02-09 with total page 71 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There was a man in the Bible who was so obsessed with what he thought God wanted him to do that God had to use a donkey to speak to him and warn him so that an angel would not have killed him. The strange thing was, though, when the donkey was speaking to him, instead of him being amazed at the fact the donkey was speaking, he started arguing with, even threatening to kill the donkey. In this book, James brings out the many different ways God has used in his life and ministry to speak to us and get us in the right direction. It's not hard to hear God's voice. We just need to learn to listen. Be careful, that donkey you keep hearing just may be the Lord's way of getting your attention.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The title of this book, Shhh! The Sound of Sheer Silence: A Biblical Spirituality that Transforms, comes from the biblical narrative about the prophet Elijah experiencing God on a mountain in a sound of sheer silence. Many people seek a way of life that involves silence because it nourishes the individual spirit connected to Spirit. Book Shhh Our Daddy GOD Speaks 366 Promises from Daddy GOD

Download or read book Shhh Our Daddy GOD Speaks 366 Promises from Daddy GOD written by Gerard Assey and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2021-05-07 with total page 62 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How many of you have ever said this: "I want to spend time reading the Bible, but God never says anything to me when I read it." I have heard such statements come so often from even believers, that I just wished how they knew that the very Word is His voice! It's His love letter to mankind-and the greatest love letter ever written. The Bible is one of our greatest gifts as Christians. It is the very word of God, "living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart" (Hebrews 4:12).The Bible is from God, HIS very Word, written through people, and for His people. God speaks through His Word. This is the logos of God, the authoritative, infallible, inerrant, eternal Word of God that is forever settled in heaven. As 2 Timothy 3:16 says, "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness so that we can be equipped for every good work."No doubt, God speaks in lots of ways, but the main way that He speaks is through His Word, and it's powerful! Yet many people feel that they have to sense God's presence to know that they had heard from Him. And I am not ashamed to say that many years ago I felt the same. When I read Scripture, I was often so bored and felt like there was nothing exciting in it. But when I look back now, I realize that I was totally wrong in my thinking. The Word of GOD is a never-ending well of refreshment for anyone who will just take the time to soak into itAnd when He speaks through His Word, we get a deeper revelation of who He is, and in this finding, our minds are gradually transformed, often in mysterious ways, from glory to glory, only to exude His glory through us. We begin to become more and more like Him as we are changed by this truth. Don't get fooled into believing that God doesn't speak to us through Scripture. He is always speaking through the greatest love letter ever written-HIS Word in the Holy Bible. Just as any good parent loves talking with their children, our heavenly Father loves talking to you, his child. As a good Father, he longs to engage with you in continual conversation. So great was his longing for communication that he's given you His very thoughts in scripture and through the gift of the Holy Spirit these thoughts come alive, enabling you to get to know Him with a deeper revelation. We have a priceless possession and treasure within us who is none other than God Himself, the Holy Spirit, who dwells there and better than any of the treasures that money can buy! We may not hear or sense His presence if we are always scurrying around in this life. Like the little boy, we need to stop and listen. We may even need to shut up! Remember always that our daddy God desires to have real, life-transforming conversations and longs to help you with your decisions, relationships, work, finances, and identity. God himself wants to talk with you about your life- to fully know you and be known by you. God's word can't produce abundant fruit in your life if you aren't consuming it. So as you meditate on each daily scripture, believe that every word is God speaking to you. And as you spend time in His Word, this is when there could be 'scripture explosions'-when a verse literally jumps off the page of this book and speaks to you in the situation that you are in for that particular day. May this be a Blessing to you and others around you!

Book He Speaks in the Silence

Download or read book He Speaks in the Silence written by Diane Comer and published by Zondervan. This book was released on 2016-01-05 with total page 209 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: He Speaks in the Silence is about Diane Comer’s search for the kind of intimacy with God every woman longs for. It is a story of trying to be a good girl, of following the rules, of longing for a satisfaction that eludes us. Disappointed with all Diane had been told was supposed to fulfill her, she begged God in desperation to give her more. And He did. But first He took her through a trial so debilitating it almost destroyed what little faith she had. He let her go deaf. Using vivid parallels between her deafness and every woman’s struggle to hear God, this book shows women not only how Diane, as a deaf woman, hears in everyday life, but also how she can learn to listen to God in the midst of her own loud life, finding intimacy with God and the deep soul satisfaction she longs for.

Book excerpt: Shhhhhhhh! is the gripping tale of the struggles faced by Wynona Wyatt, a young African American girl growing up in the boondocks of New Orleans. Faced with a mother who wanted nothing to do with children, a sexually abusive ‘uncle’, the lies and deceit throughout her mother’s family, and the loss of her father early in her life, Wynona learns to depend on herself and God in place of her family. Wynona Wyatt is the youngest child of Lemora and Woody, a timid girl who finds herself imbedded in the secrets of her mother’s past. She is reminded constantly as she grows that she was never wanted by her mother, a memory which haunts the girl through her womanhood. Wynona witnesses her mother’s tirades against her father on a daily basis, and though she proves herself intelligent and capable, she still holds on to the dagger wounds from her mother. Lemora Cavanaugh had chosen, after her childhood was full of raising her mother’s children, she wanted nothing to do with children, not even her own. Her tough-as-nails life had crushed all of her dreams and desires, leaving only the secret that carried through her family for two generations – maintain the façade of regality, no matter what. She disguises her own abuse through the caring of her siblings, adding an extra son to the Cavanaugh clan. It isn’t until she meets Woody Wyatt that she attempts, and fails, to express the more tender emotions of desire. Though her mother shovels nothing but darkness and mistrust at the girl, Wynona is shown the way to a happy heart by her father, Woody. Woody teaches Wynona the core values of kindness, patience, and looking for the beauty in the minutest things. Together, Woody and Wynona explore similar interests and find a mutual love in music. Woody Wyatt is the strong, caring father who tries to show Lemora how to love life instead of filling it with dread and distrust. His love for Lemora and their children is the key that keeps Wynona struggling to overcome her mother’s demons. He shows patience and kindness where Lemora denies the family the love and respect desired by the kids. His untimely death, however, hefts more weight on his little girl’s shoulders. For the first time in her young life, Wynona loses the music that filled her heart and lifted her spirits. After the loss of her father and best friend, Wynona feels the pangs of terror stronger than ever. No longer does she have at her disposal any form of trust, love, or security. Yet, through it all, Wynona finds within herself the courage and strength to carry on. Whereas Wynona turns to her father and his love for music to escape her tortured existence before his death, her older brother, Winston, being physically and emotionally abused himself turns to drugs as a means of blocking out the truth which eventually leads Winston to a destructive death. He leaves behind a legacy of his own secrets. Bringing more drama to the family’s life, Lemora’s ‘brother’ Lamar moves in with them almost on a permanent basis. Lamar becomes an even bigger nightmare to Wynona and her brother Winston, finding ways to verbally, physically and sexually abuse both children in the house which was to be the safe haven provided by Woody. It is only after Lamar’s funeral that Wynona learns the truth about Lamar’s birth-mother – the same woman who gave birth to her brother and her. Wynona witnesses and experiences these tribulations, but instead of letting them bring her to the depths of despair, she pulls herself through by following her heart, her father’s wisdom, and God’s grace. She meets and falls in love with Rory, the handsome, strong, sensitive man who becomes her saving grace. The love affair lasts through some difficulties: an unplanned pregnancy lost to miscarriage, the mistrust of Wynona's mother, and Wynona's secretive past abuse, but Wynona is determined to make it work. Eventually, the two marry, and are blessed with a beautiful baby boy they name Chauncey. But, as
