L'existence de rapports sexuels "consentis" relativement précoces pourrait remettre en question l'écriture du code pénal actuel dans un souci de non-discrimination d'une certaine minorité d'individus.

While aware that sexual expression is a necessary part of human development, law rarely contemplates the complex ways in which it interacts with children and sexuality. Just as the law circumscribes children to a narrow range of roles - either as entirely sexless beings or victims or objects of harmful adult sexual conduct - so too does society tend to discount the notion of children as agents in the domain of sex and sexuality. This book reflects on some of the unique challenges that accompany children in the broader context of sex, exploring from diverse perspectives the ways in which children emerge in sexually related dimensions of law and contemporary life. It explores a broad range of issues, from the psychology of children as sexual beings to the legal treatment of adolescent consent.

De quelle façon peuvent-ils négocier les normes que la pornographie propose ? Peut-on les considérer acteurs de leur sexualité face aux contraintes que pose la pornographie?

This book questions the framing of old age by focusing on the relationships between policy making and the production of knowledge. To date, 50 African States have ratified the ACRWC, and 28 have submitted the initial report, 12 have submitted both initial and periodic reports to the African Committee of Experts on the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC) on the implementation of the ACRWC and have received recommendations from the ACERWC. To ascertain the extent of children’s rights protection in Africa, the Centre for Human Rights was commissioned to undertake a study on the implementation of the ACRWC in 10 countries, namely: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mozambique, Namibia, Sudan and Tanzania. In-country researchers were engaged to collect data using desk-based research to obtain information consisting of literature, documents and online sources that was then thematically analysed.
