Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Chronicling the 1902-1960 rivalry between the Minneapolis Millers and St. Paul Saints, this book focuses on the 18 seasons during which one or the other of the Twin City rivals captured the American Association championship. Each chapter includes an introduction explaining the general status of the pennant-winning team--including biographical information on key players--followed by detailed game accounts and a season summary with critical statistics. Written in the present tense, the game accounts are the meat of the book, immersing the reader in the action of baseball as it was played decades ago. Book A Treasury of Latter Day Saint Letters

Download or read book A Treasury of Latter Day Saint Letters written by Larry E. Morris and published by Arcadia Publishing. This book was released on 2017-10-23 with total page 176 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What did David O. McKay say about the theory of evolution, or George Albert Smith about Saints thinking for themselves? Why did Relief Society president Eliza R. Snow and others write a heartfelt letter of appreciation to the governor of the Utah territory? With fifteen new letters, this revised edition of A Treasury of Latter-day Saint Letters answers these and other intriguing questions through the words of early Church figures, from apostles to Joseph Smith's relatives. Historian Larry Morris, formerly with the Ensign and the Joseph Smith Papers, explains the historical context of each epistle and presents the text of the letter itself. Preserving the exact words and spelling of the writer, this inspiring and thought-provoking volume offers a glimpse into the personal lives and candid feelings of a host of prominent Church members--a rare view not often seen from the pulpit or in history books.

Book The Exercise of the Spirit and the Building of God

Download or read book The Exercise of the Spirit and the Building of God written by Witness Lee and published by Living Stream Ministry. This book was released on 2024-01-17 with total page 157 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the New Testament age, God is doing a specific work in His Son and through the Holy Spirit. He is entering into people that they may be filled with the element of God, and He is bringing these people, who are filled with His element, into Himself. This is the mingling of God with man; this is the building of God. The believers who have been mingled with God are built up together in Him. “The builded church is not composed of only human beings. Rather, the building of the church is accomplished by building God into man. When God is in all of us, and we are in God, we are one Body. This is the way that we are built together.” This building depends on the New Testament priests. These priests are not a special class of believers but rather the believers who are in spirit and can be built together in God. In order for the church to be built up, it is necessary for every believer to enter into the Holy of Holies and carry out their priestly service, that is, to pray in their spirit. Only by praying in our spirit can we become living stones that are being built together (1 Pet. 2:5). The present need is for the believers to be built together in spirit to become a living, spiritual temple as the Body of Christ for Him to obtain rest, to be expressed, and to be glorified.
