Download or read book Serving the Murder Warrant written by Michael Tombs and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2017-09-29 with total page 70 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: According to Michael Tombs, “To prove murder, you have to prove intent. And you must prove intent not by the laws of today but by the laws of the time.” The collapse of the economic, financial, and political structure in the North African and the Middle Eastern nations of Libya, Iraq, and Syria came to an abrupt silent void of no top-down communication within the local governments and their national leadership. In societies where human rights are ignored, in my opinion, the first institutions to be dismantled in an internal civil war, in my professional opinion, usually are the local jails, followed by the regional penitentiaries, and finally all of the national prisons. According to the Black Youth Organization, “City after city in Libya, Iraq, and Syria experienced internal civil wars and violent prison escapes. The local terrorist’s suicide bomber leaders in these nations organized a modern, well-armed military of escaped prisoners into a terrorist army that, through military force, captured and occupied very large areas of land in many parts of Libya, Iraq, and Syria. The major terrorist who emerged as the leader of this rebel terrorist’s modern military army of ex-prisoners is identified by intelligence sources in the Black Youth Organization to be Zawahiri Abu Bakr.”

Book excerpt: Are you one of the millions who has spent many pleasant hours reading aboutNero Wolfeconverting the calories from his gourmet dining (albeit grudgingly) into mental energy to solve a murder? If you have traipsed through that morass of neuroses, idiosyncrasies and obsessive-compulsive behaviors, you must have questions. Did you know that while Wolfe usually tilts the scales near one-seventh of a ton, he may once have weighed less than his svelte associate, Archie Goodwin? Or how many times the "unbreakable" rules of the house are broken? Or why Fritz speaks French although he's not from France? Or how many bullet and knife wounds Wolfe carries on his normally sedentary carcass? Or what Inspector Cramer's first name is? Or how the characters evolved over the four decades of their existence? This book will provide you with the answers to those questions and a thousand others. I hope you find it satisfactory.

Download or read book Crime written by H. Thomas Milhorn and published by Universal-Publishers. This book was released on 2004-12 with total page 468 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is an overview of the United States legal system, with a brief introduction to Islamic and International law. The book is divided into six parts. Part I (The Legal System and Crime) introduces the U.S. legal system and the classification of crime. Part II (White Collar Crime) covers cybercrime, crime the old fashioned way, and healthcare fraud. Part III (Homicide) deals with simple murder, serial murder, mass and spree murder; and assassination. Part IV (Special Groups) covers the mafia; the family; the medical, legal, and teaching professions; the religion profession; celebrities; and stupid criminals. Part V (On the Edge) deals with topics I consider to be a bit strange; that is, quackery, innovative defenses, and dangerous cults. And finally, Part VI (Residue) discusses what is left ... capital punishment and crimes against humanity, including terrorism. Throughout the book, to illustrate points, I have used over 300 cases of actual crimes. The names of the people and the facts of the cases used in the discussions of these crimes are taken directly from referenced news reports. The subtitle, Computer Viruses to Twin Towers, reflects the scope of the book; that is, from computer viruses, which cause only aggravation or loss of money, to the deadly terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 that snuffed out almost 3000 lives.

Download or read book Evil Harvest written by Rod Colvin and published by . This book was released on 1999-11 with total page 381 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: On a peaceful August morning in 1985, grim-faced FBI agents led a dawn raid on an eighty-acre farm outside Rulo, Nebraska, said to be occupied by a group of religious survivalists led by the charismatic Mike Ryan. What they found on the farm shocked even experienced investigators. For months Ryan's Nebraska neighbors spoke in whispers of gunfire in the night, the disappearance of women and children, neo-Nazis and white supremacists. But little did the locals know what was happening to those Mike Ryan decided to punish for their "sins." In Evil Harvest, Rod Colvin re-creates a chilling story of torture, hate, and perversion, and how good, ordinary people could be pulled into a destructive, religious cult--a cult that committed unthinkable acts in the name of God.

Download or read book The FBI a Vocation to Serve written by Robert A Casper Sr. and published by Page Publishing Inc. This book was released on 2015-10-01 with total page 254 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The FBI, A Vocation to Serve is about an FBI agent who saw his job as a vocation, not a job. Robert Casper takes you on a journey through his life as an FBI agent serving to protect the people of America. Throughout the book he describes how many agents were priests or in the seminary to become priests. You may be wondering how one goes from a priest to an FBI agent and the answer is simple. Most criminals are violent people and priests' vocation is to tend to their souls, while FBI agent's vocation is to get them off the street to protect those that can't defend themselves. The entire mission of the FBI is to protect the weaker and the integrity of the United States. They aim to use their God-given talents to protect and make society a safe and livable environment. As Robert's children were growing up and beginning to join the workforce, he always reinforced to his children to service others. His motto is, if you have a hard time going to the office every day, maybe you are in the wrong field of work. Robert has fulfilled life and a vocation to serve. It was grand.
