Download or read book Self Coaching 101 written by Brooke Castillo and published by Booksurge Llc. This book was released on 2008-11 with total page 152 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Self coaching is about feeling better. It really is that simple. Everything we do in our lives is because we want to feel better. When we give-it feels good. When we help others-it feels good. When we accomplish something-it feels good. Whenever we feel bad-we are usually seeking a way to feel good. The reason we want to feel good, is because it is our true nature. Alignment with our spirit-our true essence-the God within us feels good. It feels peaceful, joyous, honest, abundant and free. Through coaching ourselves we can feel good much more of the time. By coaching ourselves we find what is not working in our lives. We find that trying to change the external circumstances to change how we feel is impossible. We learn that fighting our emotions or trying to deny them only makes them bigger. We find that our thinking is the most important thing we can pay attention to in order to feel better now. By taking a peek into our own minds we can find the cause of all our suffering. We can see how we block our joy with outdated and untruthful thoughts and beliefs. By just being in this place of awareness we have aligned with our true nature and can observe the patterns of our lives. Hiring a coach can be an amazing experience. Having someone who is already "outside" of your mind give you a different perspective to consider is often the first step in change. But ultimately, it is the process of shifting your own perception with your own awareness that will create non-dependent freedom. This is why I feel so strongly about learning how to apply these simple self coaching tools in your own life and on your own mind. If you are willing to do the work now-it becomes a way of being. You will step into a life that is lived with awareness and consciousness because each time you feel any negative emotion you see it as a signal to coach yourself and realign with the true essence of you. Self coaching 101 teaches you the basics of how to do this. And the basics are enough.

Book The Art of Self Coaching

Download or read book The Art of Self Coaching written by Ed Batista and published by Harvard Business Review Press. This book was released on 2018-03-27 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Executive coaching has grown enormously in popularity over the last twenty years, and in the process the field has shifted from serving as a corrective measure for underperformers to helping high-potentials develop fully and allowing stars to continue to up their game. The Art of Self-Coaching is not intended to replace the experience of working one-on-one with a professional coach, but rather to augment the coaching process for active clients, to serve as a resource after a coaching engagement is concluded, and to provide a structured approach to managing one's professional growth and development to the large number of people who lack the opportunity to work directly with a coach. The book starts with a set of principles and practices that comprise the process of self-coaching. It then addresses the topic through a series of chapters aimed at different aspects of personal and professional development: Beginnings, Change, Emotion, Happiness, Resilience, Vulnerability, Unhappiness, Vice, Success, and Endings. Drawing upon recent research in neuroscience, social psychology and other disciplines, The Art of Self-Coaching will help readers better understand and leverage their strengths, address their weaknesses and areas for improvement, and provide a set of tools and conceptual frameworks to guide their ongoing development as people and as professionals.

Book When Doing It All Won t Do

Download or read book When Doing It All Won t Do written by Barbara McEwen and published by Coached to Success. This book was released on 2011-10-12 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book deserves to be read by all women who strive to achieve fulfillment in both their personal and professional lives. The authors deftly examine the reasons behind why so many articulate and well-educated women today feel overwhelmed and underappreciated. It is hardly news that, despite the feminine "revolution" that began in the 1970's, the majority of women have not found the enjoyment, lifestyle or satisfaction they once imagined. The reason they attribute to their problem is that they have taken on too much! But, that is just the tip of the iceberg. Career women, in particular, have come to believe it is their lot in life to be running on 8 cylinders day in and day out. Women are dancing to a frenzied beat, believing just because they can, they think they should. They have been taught if they are capable of doing something it shouldn't be necessary to look for help. This has led women to become frustrated by experiencing long days and nightmarish schedules. Women are exhausted. Authors Barb McEwen and John Agno are North American's top coaches of Executive Women. They not only challenge women to get their supports in place, but to make the right choices so their health, family life, careers and relationships are not undermined. Fortunately they also give you the tools to do so. As you embrace these concepts and become a more effective leader, you'll learn how you can negotiate what you want and fine tune your time management skills. Since each of us has been given the gift of choice and the power to act, you are encouraged to take the time to complete a variety of workbook exercises which will help to determine your passions, purpose, and priorities in order to achieve the fulfilling life you want.
