She believes in herself and others and always has an abundance of spiritually optimistic words that she is willing to share. She never forgets where she came from and the humble beginnings that have brought her to where she is today always trusting God for better in her own life and the lives of others. As she says: I have had many experiences, such as the time spent with my dear auntie who was an Evangelist Preacher with a store front church that taught and showed me about the love of God and his ways. She knew that I love the Lord and wanted to hear about him, the person and the things he did when he came to do the will of his father on this earth, so amazing! And I was singing and preaching to the congregation at the age of 9. I will always remember what she told me that the blood has already sign my name and no matter what happens in this life I will always belong to God. Beloved, I believe that my writings are spiritually given no matter the topic and always meant to edify our minds and give grace understanding and stability to our souls. We are giving you the pillars upon which each poetic voice has been prophetically given. Within the pounding of my own heart and in remembrance of our ancestors who have cried in the wilderness of the ages I am grateful and humble to bring you this volume of Seeds of Poetic Healing vol. 4 "Poetry is our Pulpit" To be encouraged and strengthen in faith that God Loves You! She believes in herself and others and always has an abundance of spiritually optimistic words that she is willing to share. As she says: “I was born in a place of Weeping Willows and Sweet Magnolia Trees” The place of my birth is known as the southern region of this great country. It is a place of history, culture and friendly welcoming faces. Many who visit have been there twice, and plan to go there again... It can be fascinati ng or unbelievable and yet it will always claim an overwhelming part of my soul for it is there that I took in my first breath of life outside of my mother’s womb. And it is there that I spent many warm summer nights singing songs of praises on the front porch in mamas favorite green rocking chair. Our world today is consumed with many infl uences that seek to control every plan or decision we make for ourselves. I have learned to look beyond the distractions and rely only on the true plan of God for my life. My gift has developed within me to become a messenger with a mission of spreading the truth through poetic voice. In this second volume of Seeds of Poeti c Healing called “Conscious Thought” I am sharing liberating knowledge for I have embraced the mission and the precious legacy of the Green Rocking Chair. This book was released on 2021-12-03 with total page 186 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Those who eat the wrong kind of food and fail to use the powers of plants to stay healthy will get sick, and those who then still fail to use them will stay sick. Just as, in ancient times, creation birthed humankind into existence, it also provided them with the means to prevent and cure disease. However, few people know about this today. It is so simple. There are fruits, vegetables and herbs that, when used properly, can prevent and also cure cancer; eliminate prostate problems, gastrointestinal infections and related complaints; make loose teeth sit firmly again; prevent flu-like infections; and, if someone has already caught the flu, shorten the course of the disease by half; tackle coughs, bronchitis and inflammations of the sinuses quickly and effectively; improve joint pain, gynaecological complaints, varicose veins and spider veins proficiently; cause sciatica and facial nerve pains to subside within days; bring rapid help in cases of bed-wetting, intestinal flora damage caused by antibiotics and, above all, in the case of nervous disorders and stress. The way to do it is shown in this book, which not only passes on modern knowledge, but also draws on centuries-old sources. In addition to an extensive index, it offers tried and tested recipes, precise dosage recommendations and instructions for the preparation of a wide variety of natural remedies, such as cough and flu drops, ointments and oils for venous stasis, haemorrhoids, back and limb pain.

Book excerpt: A remarkable Pocket Poets anthology of poems from around the world and across the centuries about illness and healing, both physical and spiritual. From ancient Greece and Rome up to the present moment, poets have responded with sensitivity and insight to the troubles of the human body and mind. Poems of Healing gathers a treasury of such poems, tracing the many possible journeys of physical and spiritual illness, injury, and recovery, from John Donne’s “Hymne to God My God, In My Sicknesse” and Emily Dickinson’s “The Soul has Bandaged moments” to Eavan Boland’s “Anorexic,” from W.H. Auden’s “Miss Gee” to Lucille Clifton’s “Cancer,” and from D.H. Lawrence’s “The Ship of Death” to Rafael Campo’s “Antidote” and Seamus Heaney’s “Miracle.” Here are poems from around the world, by Sappho, Milton, Baudelaire, Longfellow, Cavafy, and Omar Khayyam; by Stevens, Lowell, and Plath; by Zbigniew Herbert, Louise Bogan, Yehuda Amichai, Mark Strand, and Natalia Toledo. Messages of hope in the midst of pain—in such moving poems as Adam Zagajewski’s “Try to Praise the Mutilated World,” George Herbert’s “The Flower,” Wisława Szymborska’s “The End and the Beginning,” Gwendolyn Brooks’ “when you have forgotten Sunday: the love story” and Stevie Smith’s “Away, Melancholy”—make this the perfect gift to accompany anyone on a journey of healing. Book The Poems of Shelley Volume One

Download or read book The Poems of Shelley Volume One written by Geoffrey Matthews and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2014-06-11 with total page 642 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822) was one of the major Romantic poets, and wrote what is critically recognised as some of the finest lyric poetry in the English language. This is the first volume of the five-volume The Poems of Shelley, which presents all of Shelley’s poems in chronological order and with full annotation. Date and circumstances of composition are provided for each poem and all manuscript and printed sources relevant to establishing an authoritative text are freshly examined and assessed. Headnotes and footnotes supply the personal, literary, historical and scientific information necessary to an informed reading of Shelley’s varied and allusive verse. The present volume includes the 'Esdaile' poems, which only entered the public domain in the 1950s, printed in chronological order and integrated with the rest of Shelley's early output, and Queen Mab, the first of Shelley’s major poems, together with its extensive prose notes. The seminal Alastor volume is placed in the detailed context of Shelley’s overall poetic development. The ‘Scrope Davies’ notebook, only discovered in 1976, furnishes two otherwise unknown sonnets as well as alternative versions of ‘Hymn to Intellectual Beauty’ and ‘Mont Blanc’, which significantly influence our understanding of these important poems. This first volume contains new datings, and makes numerous corrections to long-established errors and misunderstandings in the transmission of Shelley's work. Its annotations and headnotes provide new perspectives on Shelley's literary, philosophical and political development The volumes of The Poems of Shelley form the most comprehensive edition of Shelley's poetry available to students and scholars.

Book The Poems of Alexander Pope Volume One

Download or read book The Poems of Alexander Pope Volume One written by Julian Ferraro and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2019-03-21 with total page 1646 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Poems of Alexander Pope is a multi-volume edition of the poetry of Alexander Pope (1688–1744) resulting from a thorough reappraisal of his work, from composition through to reception. The annotations and headnotes are full and informative, and the layout is designed to enable the reader to navigate easily between the poems, the record of variants and the editorial commentary. The poems are presented in chronological order of publication, with original capitalisation, italicisation, punctuation and spelling preserved. A record of variants to each poem illustrates the changes Pope made in subsequent editions, and full editorial annotation sets the poems in appropriate literary, historical and cultural contexts. This volume contains the poetry that appeared between 1709 and 1714, including the Pastorals and the ‘Rape of the Locke’. Much of the publication history of these poems shows Pope collaborating with the major writers and publishers of his time, as might be expected of a writer whose preparation for a literary career was so meticulous. But Pope was also beginning to establish himself on his own account, publishing (at first anonymously) a substantial statement of ideas, An Essay on Criticism. Another separate pamphlet, Windsor-Forest, constituted his distinctive contribution to the heavy freight of ‘Peace’ poems prompted by the Treaty of Utrecht. In all, the poems presented in this volume reveal an engagement with the literary and publishing industry that is at once amenable and independent.
