Book The Art of Communication

  • Author : Roy Naraine
  • Publisher :
  • Release : 2017-04-22
  • ISBN : 9781521125038
  • Pages : 191 pages

Download or read book The Art of Communication written by Roy Naraine and published by . This book was released on 2017-04-22 with total page 191 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Communication is the art of interaction between two or more people, both verbally and non-verbally, so that the message that is being delivered is understood in the same way as was intended. In many cases, the message is so complicated or packed so tightly, that it is impossible to unzip. Unfortunately, this will cause misunderstanding, and misunderstanding leads to disaster. You feel ashamed, regretful or infuriated and your self-confidence receives a battering. Or worse, you lose control of your emotions and end up abusing a family member or a colleague at work. In this book, I will show you the steps you need to follow to become a refined communicator. I will start off with body language because this is where communication actually begins. People uncontrollably send out a hurricane of body signals during the interaction. Once you are able to read and understand these signals and manage your own non-verbal signals, then you are on your way to enhancing your communication skills. I will then move to the art of verbally interacting with others so as to allow you to get better results and fulfill your expectations. I will teach you how to react to criticism and how to provide proper feedback to others. The majority of people would prefer to die than to conduct a presentation at work or make a speech at a social event. Even though they may have the ability to mingle with others, they find it overwhelming to present their knowledge to a group of people. They end up compromising themselves and then drift into obscurity. I have reserved a special section in this book that will help you to eliminate this problem and enhance your presentation skills. The aim of this book is to allow you to get an insight into your own personality and show you what steps you need to take to acquire the ability to communicate more effectively. I will show you how to communicate both verbally and non-verbally so as to attract people's attention, gain their respect and convince them to cooperate. I will also help you to read and understand the signals that liars usually emit, so as to allow you to react accordingly. I guarantee that if you follow this book diligently and apply the knowledge I am offering, then you will acquire the power to mesmerize people. You will acquire the power to captivate the audience. People will not only listen to you, but they will also feel the desire and pleasure to be listened to by you. You will learn how to talk and walk with confidence and you will understand the significance of gesticulations. Ultimately, this course will not only help you to succeed in your business endeavors, but it will greatly improve your social interaction skills. By applying the knowledge I provide in this course, you will be able to manage stress, criticism and conflicts in both your private and professional lives. This in turn will make you feel better in your own company, as well as in the company of others. Effective communication is the precursor to a life of quality. This book is a refined version of my Udemy online audio-visual course "The Art of Communication." Here is what students have been saying: "This courses is more than I ever expected. There is so much information, I know I will be going over the lessons many times to come. It is like a good book that one keeps forever on a special shelf. The instructor is absolutely charming and delightful to listen to." Sheryl P."The instructor is very knowledgeable about communications and he imparts that information in a kind, intelligent way. The stories included illustrate some of the concepts in a memorable way. This is one of the best communications courses I've taken (and I've done several!) Thanks." Scott H."Thank you Dr. Naraine. Your course, as far as content, delivery and presentation has been exceptional. As a speaker, you are very mesmerizing, and inspiring. I am so grateful to have participated in this class. Again, my sincere thanks!" Susan W.
